We’ve released the first public demo of Extinction Core2005!!

          This is the first chance for players to step into our atompunk world, pilot the experimental XRA-05, and witness the awakening of the underground kaiju. Our team has worked tirelessly to make the gameplay fun, intense, and full of personality — and we’re incredibly excited to finally share it with you.  here

Tried pushing brighter colors and a more playful vibe in this scene! I wanted the characters’ personalities to contrast — one loud and energetic, the other totally done with everything 😂
Feedback on colors, expressions, or the overall mood is welcome!

This will be one of the cutscenes in Extinction Core. The character here is Mira, our protagonist. In the right panel, she’s shown emerging from the kaiju after defeating it… but something is about to happen to her.

You’ll be able to see what comes next soon—we’re releasing the demo in the near future. Mira might become something… unexpected. No spoilers for now, hehe.

I added a new artwork to the project! For this piece, I pushed the colors to be more vibrant and gave the scene a more lighthearted, playful mood. I really wanted the difference in personality between the two characters to stand out.

This piece is from a story segment in the game I’m working on. I’m experimenting with more comic-style storytelling, focusing on mood and character emotions. I had so much fun creating this scene — feels like exploring a whole new direction for me!

Hello everyone!🙌

We are a small indie team currently working on our project Extinction Core, and we’d love to share our latest progress and hear your feedback.

Extinction Core is a bullet-hell game set in a world powered by a rare mineral that greatly advanced human civilization. Twenty-five years later, kaiju suddenly began invading human settlements. Our protagonist, Mira, survived a kaiju attack that took her entire family, and as she grew up, she joined the organization UNDM with one goal: to eliminate the kaiju for good.

In the current build, we’ve implemented:

  • Player bullet patterns
  • Enemy bullet patterns 
  • The overall game atmosphere
  • And a key mechanic: kaiju control — players can take control of a kaiju to fight certain enemies that cannot be defeated otherwise.

One of the highlights so far is the color and atmosphere shift when enemies prepare to attack. This system may evolve as we keep refining the gameplay to make it more engaging and fun.

We’d really appreciate any feedback — whether it’s about the atmosphere, bullet patterns, readability, difficulty, or overall game feel. All suggestions will help us polish and improve the project.
