(Lasts a week!)

just inspiration colors!

logo is just to say part of the jam, but is not necessary! Usually a link to the jam is what folks do!

Happy making :D

Yeah! :D

(1 edit)

This is mainly for TTRPG's (physical games), but you're free to make a video game if you'd like!

I'd love to have your work no matter what form it takes!

No problem :D

I open my server during the jams! Feel free to join

This is really good! Thank you for making it. <3

oh goodness I’m gonna cry 🥹

Thank you so much!

I couldn’t have done it alone! I thank god for Smith bc every time I wanted to add stats and mechanics they stopped me lol.

i was *barely* a teen, i was like 11 or 12. so so so much worse

thank you so so much

it’s not but thank you!! I made the thing up for the jam!

no problem! I’m glad you enjoyed the jam and making something!!

Hello!

I'm Jellyfishlines (he/him) and I'm a disabled trans guy involved with TTRPG design, actual play, and I review TTRPGs for The Fandomentals. I have a background in creative writing/poetry and a B.A. in English.

There's too much I do on a daily to list right now, but honestly feel free to check out what I do over on my Bluesky!

thank you for buying and reading it! i hope you enjoy it (hell print it even) to save on your shelf.

wouldn’t*

Thank you so much! Franny Choi is one of my favorite poets and I’m so happy someone chose her work!

Fun fact, I love and adore poems like this so :D

This is funny as hell and also my favorite song by Leonard Cohen so congrats you made me laugh!

This is more of an optional thing for August but
For August for the past few years, the poetry community has had a challenge to read a book of poetry every day for the month. Most poets revisit old books they own, while some buy a couple new ones for the month. If you'd like to participate, feel free to share what you read for the challenge on this post!

Yeah! I decided to extend it considering that I haven’t been able to make something yet AND a month long poetry challenge for August is coming up!
I’ll be making a post about that challenge later!

Heyo! Thank you for your enthusiasm!
There is a video game version of the jam here: https://itch.freezing.top/jam/poetry-inspired-game-jam
I just made the deadline further out, so feel free to submit it there!

it does! :D

Heads up! there's no file yet!

Let me know when a file has been added!

:D

So long as they are not AI, you're golden!

Me, the guy that did the color scheme: :3c

in all seriousness tho, I just picked colors and ran them by Evlyn to make sure they fit! Thank you so much! 💖

Thank you!! 😭🥺

I’m proud of you for making art about your own experiences. I will be rating 5 stars and sharing.

Not too long.
I’ve thought about how to respond to your comment for a little while and I think I finally found some of the words: thank you.

I have been writing poetry since I was 15 and haven’t really stopped since. Even my games that are more prose are lyrical and poetic. You can stop submitting to lit mags but all the things you’ve read and how you write evolves but yet stays the same. It just gets better you know?

But, most of all, I’m glad you have found a kindred spirit through this. I hope it inspires you and keeps you going and creating more and more. Thank you.

You’re good!! A love of poetry (even if you can’t name the poems that inspired you) is allowed!

no theme other than inspired by a poem (or a group of) (or a poetry book)! Other than that, go ham!

(Poetry can be non fiction, autobiographical, fiction, slipstream, speculative, etc. it’s why I don’t put it to a theme and put it to a genre/artistic medium)

yes I would be. Pop an email to me by going to my carrd page. My email is near bottom of the landing.

Thank you for sharing this. If anyone in the jam uses this, please credit this kind poet.

Updated: ending June 7th!

I can try!

It might have ended now but make something and reply here. I’ll add it to the jam!

That counts to me!

Thank you! I appreciate you doing this!

This is gorgeous. I’m happy to have this in the Manifesto Jam.

Oh i LOVE this! While I suggest putting it on your page next to your games (no download needed. just copy paste the text into the text box) this is your decision and your manifesto. You put it where you feel it best serves itself and others!
