There is also an update now if you want to try again, I added auto ships that rotate towards the mouse really fast (they are a bit weaker than the manuals but easier for new players). This is the new default so you dont need to access the hangar as a newcomer but you personally probabily will have to explicitly choose it since you have a save from the last time you played with a manual
I've been getting consistent feedback about the game being too hard to get into.
Today I will add a new startership tailored to an entry /casual level player experience! Additionally unlocks in the hangar will be available by default in compliance with 20s game jam rules but you will have the option to play career mode where you will get your unlocks progressively.
Thank you for your attention, and have a great day!
Thank you for playing!
Yeaah the arena is a bit too big and its easy to just fly about avoiding enemies but I will fix that in the next update so stay tuned >:)
As for the rotation, get the gyro booster perk or a faster ship! Each ship has different turn rates and there is a bunch to unlock (or click the unlock all button to get all but the final model). The idea is that slow turning ships should be built with autocannons and the ballistics chip so you can obliterate enemies without having to turn to them
There is another trick, you can rotate faster by right mouse clicking for fine aim and using Q or E correctly to effectively double your gyro towards a direction
When I get off work I'll definitely give your game a shot and thanks for mentioning this is practically for steam, I hope to get there with this once it's up to standard
Have a great day!
its good man, i ve seen lesser games make it. not big since overcrowding but you know every dollar counts! you got a very good formula for it here, and it seems easy to expand. perhaps a little story, some achievements and why not?
P.S maybe consider adding a slider for the vfx. some like it this heavy but it can be a bit jarring to look at after a while
