The art style here is so unique! I've never played anything that looks like it, I love it. I especially find the design of the final creature to be just so interesting and almost thought-provoking lol. Gameplay was quite fun, I really like how the meter goes up more quickly if the hug is smaller, that's great design. I also like how one of the monsters changes elevation as you chase it which makes for some fresh gameplay. Wish it was a bit longer, what's here is awesome!

This is such a fantastic idea for a game that emphasizes speed and movement. I love how there are basically multiple difficulty settings for the same level and more skilled players can retry to get the fastest times on the hardest version. All the movement tech felt super smooth, I loved the part where you have to use your rewind to gain speed, I could see that idea itself being a sick main mechanic with a lot of applications. Also big props for the voice acting! Great job!

Very fun time! The art style is so charming and the writing is especially very entertaining lol. The gameplay itself is exhilarating and surprisingly strategic! It's very chaotic to have to dodge one bullet by shooting another and then having to dodge that one in an endless cycle lol. I really love the target mechanic that requires a specific charge strength combined with the focus, makes you slow down and think. One of my only criticisms would actually be the difficulty, especially the (what I assume is) final checkpoint being pretty brutal. Amazing job overall!

Very fun clicker/idle game, I found myself getting a little addicted lol. It's really cool how you set up the seeds so you can water then on the next loop, very cool application of the theme! It also feels awesome to fill up most of the available space on the edges of the path with flowers. All the upgrades feel powerful and valuable. I guess my only criticism would be that it starts off a little slow, but that's sort of just the nature of clicker/idle games. Amazing job!

I really like just the sheer amount of clones you have to use in each level, much more then some other games that do this mechanic in the jam. The fast movement helps keep the pace of this style of gameplay. I also like the red chasing guy mechanic, I think that could be used for a lot of cool stuff. I wish there were more cool mechanics like that. I also noticed some buggy behavior when there are a lot of clones running around (clipping through walls etc), but nothing game-breaking. Cool game!

Pretty fantastic puzzle mechanic ideas here, once the binary gate was introduced I realized that there's so much potential for crazy components that would make really unique puzzles. I especially love how the players are affected by gravity so you can gain momentum which can be used as a puzzle element. Just so much depth overall. Puzzle 3 took me a long while but the solution was so simple and elegant it made me feel dumb lol. Wish there was more content. Amazing game!

Great little platformer with a lot of cool mechanics and honestly fantastic level design! I especially love the shedding feather thing I think that could be used for so much cool stuff. I also loved the level with the big red laser you gotta turn off by going back and forth. Good stuff!

Such a creative take on the theme, I'm not sure how many other games have been about the inherent creepiness of infinitely looping the same thing over and over and this nails it. Such a cool narrative, it felt like anything could happen at any moment. I love how the main menu itself becomes a part of the story. Even though the art isn't anything special I can't really even critique it because it just adds to the atmosphere. Won't be forgetting this, honestly amazing job!

Great concept! It's fun to bait the flame into dashing past you, the telegraphing is perfect. The later levels are quite challenging but made me think on my toes. It's a really cool idea to have a platformer with just one obstacle for each level and it works well. I wish the controls were a little more forgiving, as in maybe make the jump a little quicker? Especially when climbing staircases you can lose a lot of time due to the low gravity, but it definitely adds to the tension. The ending is also so nice, it's so cool seeing the outside world like that. Great stuff!

Really fun idea, I love these types of games where you build your own level. It's so fun to hit a trampoline while going really fast and just skip like half the level lol. I think it'd be cool if there was incentive to put in the more dangerous sections (maybe a point/money system or something). Otherwise I'd just love more wacky contraptions to play around with but what's here is a great scope for a jam. Awesome job!

Love it, very cool theme interpretation! I found myself wanting to go for a speedrun, weaving through the obstacles at high speeds is a blast. Only thing I'd say for improvement is to just add more content, maybe differently shaped tracks, a bigger variety of obstacles, powerups, or different cars to choose from? Could be a fantastic arcade game with a lot of depth. Super solid overall!!

This game completes me. Mindwave eat your heart out. Only thing I'd change is maybe tweak the randomness so you get a little more variety of games? I would get like the same 2 or 3 back and forth multiple times sometimes. Still won't stop me from giving all 5's tho

That's such a unique idea I'm glad you went with it, some of the thoughts definitely resonated with me! I think you should definitely add the rest in if you get the time. And for the frog problem yeah if I remember correctly it was only that one you mentioned. Very good point lmao

Amazing! The art combined with all the unique dialogue during gameplay gives so much charm. The movement and gameplay in general is fluid and fun, and the need to pick up your ammo adds a lot of depth. It definitely takes the theme in a more abstract direction, i would love to have seen the theme of recycling being leaned into more heavily (maybe represented in the character design or ui more) but that's a nitpick. Also the sounds and music were fantastic. Great stuff!

Very entertaining and really fun interpretation of the theme! The narrative really sucks you in, it's kind of amazing how you made so many memorable characters in such a short runtime. I love the final choice because each option re-contextualizes Henry's actions up to that point. It was mentioned in another comment but the choice of art-style is genius. Also huge props for having voice acting!

Finished with all frogs! This one's really interesting, after getting used to the controls it was super fun to fly around and look for secrets. The game felt more like a pure stream of consciousness or journal, and the little nuggets of insight were a great motivator to keep exploring. In the context of the game's description I'm sure one could extrapolate some meaning from the fact that finding each frog gives a little more time before the reset. The only gripes I have were the controls being a little hard to get used to, and a few bugs. In particular, the direction I was facing while in fly mode seemed to randomly change at times which was disorienting. Also, sometimes the frogs wouldn't give the sparkles they were supposed to (maybe this was intentional and I just didn't know why). Great experience overall!

Post your bugs here! Please be as thorough as possible in your explanations. Links to screenshots/video are very helpful.

What version of the game are you playing on? This can be seen in the bottom left corner of the title screen.

Please note the severity of the bug. Does it cause the game to crash/become unplayable?

Thank you!

You're a legend bro, I'd love to know how many deaths you had! In the full release you'd ideally do the main stages before the tinted ones, so hopefully the difficulty curve will be a bit more natural lol.

Thank you! It honestly means so much that you'd take time out of your day to do that

Glad you enjoyed!! I wasn't sure how many people would find that sneaky prism, so it's great to know that it's not too impossible lol

Thank you!

Thanks so much man, means a lot! And yeah, I'll probably have to tweak the difficulty of some screens. It's awesome to hear that you're looking forward to the full version!

Hey everyone, just released the demo of my precision-platformer Flip of Light! This game is based around the Light Flip mechanic, which lets you instantly teleport from ceiling to floor.

Run, jump, and flip your way through a variety of vibrant stages, each themed around one chromatic color (The demo contains the first stage).

Thanks so much :D I definitely have loads of ideas for an expanded version, which I'm hoping to work on after my current project. The music actually was composed my me, by the way.

Thank you! That pitch up thing is actually a great idea that I didn't think of, I'll definitely experiment with that. Thanks for the suggestion!

Pretty high! I'm currently working on another project but I'm planning to make this my next big thing once that's finished. I already have a ton of ideas for it.

You can DM me on twitter, I don't use it too often but I'll definitely see your message :)

Haha, I gotta say I'm pretty sure this is the first time somebody has speedran a game of mine, and honestly I'm not even sure I could beat that time. I'm planning on adding a lot more levels in the future and maybe even releasing on steam, so I hope you're still interested by then.

The first text adventure that I've played in this jam, and I gotta say it's pretty great! The story definitely has this mysterious, almost horror feel. I'd love to see more endings as well, as other comments have said. Some of the letters started flashing on repeated playthroughs, which I'm pretty was intentional (and an awesome effect btw) but if it wasn't I guess that would be the only bug I found. Overall great entry!

This is unbelievable quality for 48 hours. Seriously, this is a really talented team! Really chaotic, and a super unique and awesome premise. My only gripe would probably be to make it a little easier to understand and ease the player into it, but I'm sure you've heard that before by now. Great entry overall!

Really nice mechanic! I've seen a lot of games where you're trying to control a bunch of sheep or cats or whatever, but this is the first game I've played where getting the hoard out of control is actually the goal. It has the same addictive quality as something like agario, where you're basically growing something as massive as possible. One thing I'd change would probably be the level format, it's kind of disheartening to restart every level at one zombie. I'd love to see an arcade style of this where humans keep spawning, and maybe the more zombies you have the harder they are to convert and the more damage they deal. As is though, this is still a great game.

Really fantastic idea of having your controls pretty much be your health. I especially loved how you worked around the issue of the player getting stuck in a corner, by having both sides of the screen wrap around on themselves. Really clever, great entry!

The mechanic of this game isn't anything new for this jam, but the way it's implemented and the level design make it completely stand out. The mechanic is really used to its fullest potential with puzzles and obstacles that are completely understandable to the player. I love how you don't just immediately get the throwable jammer. It sorta reminds me of Portal, where you don't have control over the gun until you fully understand the way it works, which makes for a great introduction to a somewhat abstract concept. I love how there's both a good and bad to placing the jammer, where you might've stopped an obstacle, but you need to make sure you can also get through it without getting stuck. Really great execution and clever ideas here!

Pretty awesome ideas here, reminded me a lot of baba is you. I love the mechanic of switching between top-down and platforming modes on a timer, that has some serious potential for great puzzles and fun skill-based gameplay. I'm also glad that there's dialogue telling you what to do in this one, since it has some concepts that would be extremely hard to understand otherwise. Solid entry!

Pretty cool concept, I love the idea of the game having an enemy that basically restricts yours way of movement, with some levels having you try to rip your mouse away from it to move. One thing I would change is to just take away the darkness and torches, I'm not sure what that adds to the experience other then atmosphere of being in a dark cave. Overall super unique and interesting entry.

One of the more interesting "your controls change all the time" games I've played so far. I love that it's like the game has a mind of it's own, and the narration reminded me a lot of The Stanley Parable. The only thing I would suggest is adding more animations, like maybe for jumping and landing, but thats just polish stuff. It was fun figuring out what the keys would be next, especially when jump and move right became the same button. Overall good entry!

I've always been fascinated with conway's game of life, so I was super intrigued when I saw this. It works very well as an interesting puzzle game! I just dont think my brain is intelligent enough to get past the first like 6 levels. Great entry, though!

Really neat game! I've seen a lot of these "keep everyone under control while they're moving towards danger" types of games, but the lasso mechanic makes this one stand out. It's awesome not having to actually go over to every human you want to save, and instead just click and drag them back. Good job!

This is a really awesome concept, and has a great amount of potential! There is one thing that I think would make the experience a lot more user friendly though. It might be just me but the mechanic felt kinda difficult to understand at first. On the first mushroom level I didn't understand why I wasn't turning into a pile of mush on the ground like I did with the skeleton. The mechanic makes sense to me now, but I think maybe like icons showing who has what ability above their heads would make it  easier to understand. With that change and maybe a few bug fixes, this could be polished up into a really solid puzzle game. Great entry!

Took me a little to figure out how it worked, but this is really awesome. It's pretty thrilling to be platforming and all of the sudden one of the buttons stops working. The only issue I have is the difficulty, which seems to ramp up pretty quickly, so just turning down the time limit on some of the levels would fix that. Overall very good entry, and looks great as well.
