You’re absolutely right about the stutter. It likely comes from the pathfinding system, which isn’t fully optimized yet. I’ve actually restarted development from scratch with a fresh codebase and a focus on performance and scalability. The goal is to support more villagers, buildings, and new features like worker variety and zooming out, just like you mentioned.

- Crops falling in unaccessible places, I think I’ll have to check if the place they are landing on is reachable before putting them there
- I’ll improve the camera speed, maybe add a setting to adjust that
- the trunk upgrade allows lumberjacks to chop the trunk of trees.
- for villagers getting stuck I’ve not yet found a great solution.
- the system that monitor trees and crops is to be improved
- for the lagging part, another player reported it to me too, it may be due to the way I handle the pathfinding, the method I use requires more resources. I’ll work on that too
- for the balancing part, of workers vs gatherers. I’m thinking of adding an upgrade that allows gatherers to carry multiple crops
