Yes, sounds like you had already planned most things.^^ Yes finishing everything in the game jam time is pretty hard, I had also to cut stuff.

Great idea to remake the ideas later with more experience.

Thank you for your review - made me chuckle. ^^ Yeah, there are multiple strategies to chesse :D.

And sorry for the red text on dark background. Maybe should have used some color blindness simulation for the browser. That might have prevented that.

Thank you. I wanted to add a better tutorial to make the player to use a wall jump at least once, so it is obvious, but I had no time left.^^ Glad you liked the idea.

I played it again for quite some time.^^ Its fun. I like the idea and the concept a lot! Sadly at some point I had a bug, that Events where already used after respawn, so not giving 3 Endurance or other stuff, but only 2 Endurance anymore. When the bug happened, when entering a map it would say that I rest at the start point, although I were just entering the map.

If you want to update the game after the gamejam, I have some improvement ideas, which mostly where smaller annoyances:

  • Tooltips for the events, when hovering over a tile - sometimes they use the same letter (e.g. cottage and crevice both C in the snow world) and in general it is hard to remember every letter.
  • The blinking icon how much it cost to move shouldn't blink but stay visible - also it shouldn't be on top of the letter so it doesn't hide where you move to.
  • Farming energy could be balanced better and be more obvious how you get it - so you can progress faster.
  • Maybe some reminder for what is needed to complete a certain event you already found before. "Crevice: 10 food"

Despite my suggestions, I really liked the the game.

Loved the game! It gets suprising difficult later on. But still I would like an extra optional even more difficult level - just for fun. :-D

Also the concept is done in a suprising clever manner. At first, I also wanted to do a cooking game, where foods are on a loop, but I had no good idea how to do this in a fun way in just 4 days. Its great to see how good your game is and also the animation are really funny.

Wow the game is really good and polished - pretty crazy how much you achieved in a Game Jam. I also liked that you included the dash ability in the race, so that the player has something to do instead just watching the race.

Two improvement suggestions if you want to do a patched version at some point in the future. :-D

1. The tutorial has a little bit much information at once, maybe postpone some information to later (like breeding for example, which is not needed immediately anyaways)

2. Some warnings would help. A warning that a bunny will retire soon - and also a clearer text when no bunny is eglible for a race. I only realized later that his means, every bunny is retired. Maybe I missed that in the tutorial - like I said it was too much information at once for me :D

Thanks, yes number of retries might be a good compromise.^^

Thank you! Yes can get pretty chaotic :-D

I love Minesweeper and your Rouge Lite interpretation of it.

One advice: The texst in the shop could be improved - sometimes its not completely clear what somethin does. "Level up" and "Upgrade" sound very similar for example.

With a little polish this can get a great game.

Loved the concept and I had fun. So, at first I thought just swap every weapon, but that didn't help completely. Then I started to investigate more. :-) Interesting that the murderes are so picky with their weapon :D

Loved that you used Pico-8 - haven't tried that yet, but it sounds so interesting as an engine.

Thank you. Yes some checkpoint feature would have been a great idea to not reset the whole level. :-)

Very relaxing game :-) And the sounds, you have implemented, do sound nice.

FYI: In fullscreen the bug did not happen, only when closing fullscreen some notes didn't play.

Thank you - nice to hear that the game is quite addictive :-)

Thank you. Maybe I should have added checkpoints, good idea.^^

Thanks a lot. I am glad that you liked the telportation! :-)

Loved the design and especially the music was very fitting for the gameplay. The idea to play sci-fi hamsters in wheels is great.

The only issue I had was that the balancing could be changed a little bit, in some waves the wave got easier with time, since less and less enemies are on the map - its a bit anticlimactic.^^

I like the concept and it was fun. I think the difficulty curve could ramp up more quickly - at some point it felt like getting easier than more difficult.^^ I played until stage 10, but I didn't see any difference in the stages.

Wow the atmosphere and art design is stunning! The contrast between tranquility and distress is depicted very elegantly.

I was confused, how to get food and drinks - I scurried through the level in the desperate search for food and drinks, sadly the cat-slime has to stay hungry this night. :-( I like the art of the cat-slime :-)

Thank you! Sometimes hard to learn from past moves. :D

In the description it says "Clear the opponent’s cards by playing cards of a higher value" - but don't you have to play the same value as the opponent.

Nice game, but sometimes I had the feeling that there was no right solution.
I completed once all 5 rounds, afterwards the game is stuck ^^

Maybe I should picked easy, really hard on normal. :-D For me it was hard to see how much damage I do and is needed to beat an enemy.

Loved the game - reminded me a little bit of "Minit". I finished the game, the idea with the mandaline and also the surrounding narrative with death. I got 9/10 sweets, missed the last one. :-D

Thanks - you are right it can get very crowded quickly if choosing the same path through the level often.

Thanks for review :-) Yeah, the feedback is valid. I considered it and should have done it. I had liked the name "Ten of You" so much as a title idea, that I couldn't bring myself to reduce the numbers of selves to be beaten. :-D

I am so stupid xD I didn't see the text that you don't have to forget to click on CONNECT TO VIRUS. :-D "Save" would have been a more obvious text. :-D

After I found out that you have to press it, the game became fun. Nice concept and good design. I love that you included a skill tree.

Thank you so much! Your review is very motivating :-)

Wow the artstyle is so nice and cute. An egg is a novel concept for a protagonist. :-D Loved it.

This is really trippy :-D Looping around through time loops - fun concept.

Thanks, yes maybe some checkpoint would help.

I love the design and artwork! The controls overwhelmed me a little bit :-D My customers must now go home hungry.

Thank you for playing and the review!

Ok thanks, I understand it now more.

Thank you for your review. A friend of mine found an even more cheesy technique, which is more a bug abuse :-D, but I won't spoil it, maybe someone will find it and post it here. :-D

Yes maybe I will  built upon it and reduce the cheeseable methods if possible.

Wow loved your game - for now its the best I played this jam. I built my strategy completely arround "Sound of silence" - with that I reached round 12 and a score of 893. ^^

Maybe one constructive feedback - the score is summed up immediately, so its hard to see what one individual loop scored.

Sad that you made a mistake when uploading - I still played your game for a little bit and its story and setup are funny. Maybe next game jam, you have more luck.

Fun game - and cool concept.
In the end, I built a small endless loop arround the station, and just clicked permantly again and again on cargo xD Was fun.

BTW: You should add your logo you have on top of the itch.io page as the thumbnail of your itch.io page, probably more people would play it if it would have an image.

I needed some time to understand the basics of the game (maybe add those to the description of the game). Click on the small mushrooms to get points, buy seeds with points, use seeds on ground, mushrooms with eyes you can drag to the apples. But the big mushrooms dies fast than I can get apples in time. :-D

Nice concept and cute art.

I'd like the game and the concept, but one thing I don't understand. The goal is to get energy, isn't it - but what exactly gives energy? Is food, influence etc. only as a currency for the events? Or are they converted to energy in the end? What exactly is my goal in the game?^^

Even if not a real product yet, keep improving with godot and next time you will have a complete game ;-)
