Hello! I began work on a game for Yuri Jam 2025 but got very little done. Specifically, I started working on a font and set of map tiles, but I have not created any finished maps.

Would using these assets be appropriate for this jam?

Great work! Just played the latest demo and it’s quite fun and nostalgic! I did run into a few bugs, but I’m sure you will get to those in time. It’s interesting seeing the characters in tiny 8x8 format!

I have been so busy lately and honestly feeling discouraged by a variety of factors (biggest being the payment processor fiasco) but reading your zine helped me see my work and my current situation in a new light and to feel much less defeated!

Yes, that’s a-okay! The jam is not competitive and we don’t expect people to work the entire time. Some people only jam for a weekend, others work slowly the whole 2 months. If you need a little extra time at the end of the jam, just let us know :)

Really nice to see a Nana/Vivienne Westood game, really cool to see such a femme typing game, really cool to see the focus on actual fashion terms, and cute couple!

I’m not the world’s best typist, so I wasn’t able to win her love, but that’s fair XD

If you take the idea further, I’d love some element that explains what the fashion terms mean!

Yes, that definitely counts! In general our intent is to be inclusive whenever possible.

If in doubt, you could ask yourself “Does the woman in the nonbinary x woman relationship think of herself as queer/gay/sapphic?” If the answer is “yes” then it’s even more suitable 👍

What a cool game! I really love the concept, the art style is fab, and I was impressed how she moves to different areas every time. Now I want to make a game like this!

Submitted games don’t have to focus solely on the relationship, but our hope would be that the relationship is more than an afterthought. The jam is by design as wide open as possible and horror is popular among a lot of the developers here, so your game will probably fit right in.

Really fun! Interesting aesthetics with shades of Basin Lake and Monster Party.

I wasn’t sure I was getting what it had to say until I got to the area where you’re falling and the background repeats “turn back” — which clearly you can’t do.

I hope that in the future there’ll be the option to turn off the flashing, as I get migraines and it was a little rough playing those parts 😵
