Yeah sadly it only seems to work in certain web browsers.

Hooray!

So difficult I'm not skilled enough for this

Thank you! I'm glad you liked it. Sadly the code didn't work, don't think you managed to paste the entire thing, its usually much longer.

Can't see the code sadly, I know the copy button doesn't work on phones, and maybe some browsers.

Thanks for playing!

I'm glad you like it! I am also wondering about the applications this could have in a bigger game. Some more cleaver tricks and it could be pretty immersive (and still funny). Thanks for playing!

Thank you!

Thanks!

Haha yup! Spamming works too. You can even spam so fast that the developer doesn't get a chance to reply.

I'm glad you liked it!

Thank you!

Responses are random, although the plan was to make it so the pure input data sentences would map 1:1 to answers, with the rest being random. I even had this data filled in in the input, but I didn't have the time to fix it (although I realize now it would've only taken a few minutes to fix)

Thanks!

Well if you write enough feedback this will surely turn into GTA 6 in no time

Thanks, glad you liked it! If my memory and maths are correct it was 8 hours, spent as: 1,5 hours to build and program the tiny level, 3 hours to make the input system for the feedback. 3,5 hours to mix them together and some polish along with the developer answers. And then around 1 hour to fix the upload and itch page (not counted in the time to make the game itself).

The feedback system uses a bunch of relevant sentences as input, then letting the player chose one of the starting words. It then checks all possible words that comes after the chosen word in the input data and makes those the next alternatives. Rinse and repeat

Glad you liked it!

(Also it was actually drawn in Krita, not paint haha)

So visually pleasing. Inspires me to use more gradients. The general atmosphere and sfx are also top notch. Sadly the game froze on level 3.

Cool concept and nice mechanics on top of it (I like the warping through wall)

I had some issues with grabbing the window border, I think the custom cursor made it behave a bit weird sadly.

Really cool and fun twist on space invaders (and I'm very happy it's not yet another platformer). The music and vfx was bangin. My only wish is some checkpoints. I gave when I died the second time on the same level, don't feel like starting over from the beginning again.

Definitely! That was the plan at first for the feedback system but I didn't have the time for it sadly.

Phenomenal character and voice acting, truly a horrible person. Well done!

Very fun premise, fits the theme really well. Well done!

Fun presentation with the voice acting. Sadly I can get past the first puzzle. I type "new_sprite" the "code accepted" lights up green, but pressing escape doesn't seem to do anything and I can't manage to progress any further.

I didn't see how the 2D and 3D was connected other than the way to enter the game, was there anything more to it? The gun animations were nice tho.

Fun although a little too chatty. The game felt broken in a fun and unique way, although the collision box for the spikes felt annoyingly big. Very creative, well done!

The warping vfx and the look of the mirror dimension is really cool. The concept of alternating between them is awesome, but I wish there was a reason to change more often. Maybe the player slowly goes insane in the mirror dimension, or that instead of double damage, enemies split into two every so often (so staying too long would result in an exponential increase in enemies). A extra feature ontop of the mirror dimension will make this pretty unique!

The platformer controller felt good, but I wish there was some audio. Also all the "errors" were purely visual, would've been fun having something break in another way.

I really appreciate the many checkpoints, thanks to that I made it to the end without getting too frustrated. (I now realized there is a rating queue, will come back to rate this later)
The music was super epic too, but I wish there was a death sound effect (and others)

Thank you! I'm glad I'm not the only one that find the weird messages funny

Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it

Thanks! I'm thinking about having branching paths and more of an open map in the full version, so maybe there'll be more than just one donkey? The steam page is live now if you wanna wishlist it :D  https://store.steampowered.com/app/3930780/Merchanting_in_1346/
