I think I got a stroke. I liked it!

This CINEMA. Very good entry on all front, very satisfying platforming and nice art, I HIGHLY enjoyed it! That end part is an absolute highlight, I really hope you folks are proud of the end product.
My only silly little gripe is that, while the various abilities you get are called bugs in the game, to me personally they didn't really feel like I was using bugs to complete it
I dug the story A LOT and I also admire the ambition, there's surprisingly a lot in this game! You don't really see a way to change difficulty in a three-day-gamejam game, and I love how there's a reward for completing it in hard.
I will say, I did run into a silly little glitch that made me actually impossible to be killed, like at one point I stopped taking damage.
I hope you participate in other game jams and, if you do, I recommend looking into making your game playable directly on the browser :)
thank you so much! I can confirm that the damage you take actually is based on velocity (if I remember correctly you can even die in one hit if you're going fast enough), I think it isn't clear at all because there's no health bar or something of the sort.
If you're curious about the control scheme, I really just messed something up changing the angle of the velocity during turns. When I saw what atrocity I accidentaly created, I thought it was very funny and decided to flip my original idea around.
When the jam is officially over, I'd absolutely love to add new levels to this and to make it slightly less infuriating to play
thank you so much! No, I actually think you got a point with the slower descent thing, because I'm honestly not too sold on how the air controls work right now. They are literally just the exact same as the ground controls, just with slower acceleration. If I had unlimited time and had to make a full version of this game, I'm not sure if I'd make them more nuanced or keep them like this for simplicity sake
This is great, I love the presentation (especially the music, Laura cooked)! The gameplay itself was simple but VERY effective. I think it's very easy to make a game like this and have runs that last for so long that they become boring, this game is hectic enough that you stay in the zone without becoming bored and I think it's sick.
In my opinion there's space for one more little gameplay mechanic to just ad a little tiny bit of sauce. maybe something that's risky to do but that leads to more points. Speaking of, I'd also love to have a way to see my highscore (and also I'm sorry but I need to point this out the little window that shows your score only shows one digit so if you get like 13 points it shows as "1" I thought I was going insane at first).
Anyways yea, really good submission!
I'm not big on like management games, but I had a lot of fun playing this one! I think the concept is really cute and it's hilarious how you can just bet on horse racing on the side. I kinda wish it was a bit more hectic and that it was a bit more obvious what I was supposed to click on, but still after I got it it was really fun
Very nice entry!
Yep, I agree with you on that. I wasn't too worried about the player making a beeline to the target point since in its conception it was only a way for them to finish a run, and in the final score what really mattered was how many targets they broke. After making it so that the player gets scored on the landing aswell, I can see how that became a problem, since they can go straight to the end and get a 10 on both the landing and the time. Rather than adding checkpoints or danger zones, I probably prefer to change the scoring system and make it so that the targets they break matter more, in a way that you can't possibly get 2/3rds of a perfect score if you ignore them
This is one of the best ones in the jam. If I were to change anything it would be to make it so that the longer a run lasts, the harder it is to keep the demons happy, like the game should get a lot harder later on. Maybe, when the run is going for a long time, make it so that your food and drink items aren't as effective as they are at the start, any mistake makes the demons a lot angrier, and the elevator moves faster.
I'd also add the thing CheesyBoyBen suggested.
This is an amazing entry already, but those things would elevate (haha get it) this to perfection
Thank you so much! I also had a felling it was a bit empty, to be honest. I'm not sure if I'd add enemies per se, but I'd absolutely add more varied obstacles and mechanics. I think that the way the game is built asks for more levels that are shorter with more variety, rather than what I did which is just one big map.
This is slick! I dig the graphics a lot, they're simplistic but very pleasing to look at. I do very much wish you didn't die in one hit and didn't have to restart the entire game over every time you died, especially considering that you can't really speedrun through the first part.
Other than that, great entry!
I will say, the web version doesn't run very well for me either. I'm not sure what I'm missing, but I might have to investigate the problem at some point. If you haven't tried it and if you feel like it, I do recommend downloading the windows version (it's fine if you don't, I also barely ever download the games when I'm rating game jams)
Amazing job! Very well polished, I loved the atmospheric intro cutscene and I also really liked the sense of humor! The music loops in an absolutely psychotic way, but it seems you guys know that already, I'd suggest to try a different sound format if you haven't tried that already.
I'll say, I do wish the ending screen said something a little different depending on the cheese you selected, it would have added a lot. Other than that, this is all really good!
