The game's pretty short and we wanted to have some degree of challenge here. However we also implemented a very sophisticated checkpoint system so after a certain point touching an enemy won't send you all the way back to the start.

Frustration in a good way was exactly what we had in mind :) Glad you enjoyed the game!
