Ahah, I'm glad you like them! Also, yes, even if this font is "free", it can't be redistributed in open source projects. It's still a commercial font, that just happens to be "pay what you want" rather than having a fixed base price.

Hello! The suggested size is expressed in points (pts!) not pixels. A font rendered at 12 points will be shown 1:1 on screen. So, in the case of Torch, it will have a cap height (the height of uppercase letters!) of 6px. 24 points will scale it 2x , 36 will be 3x and so on.
It's important to use pixel fonts at the correct point size to avoid uneven upscaling (that will look horrible and create artifacts, like with pixelart in general!). If you want, you can try with one of my free fonts before committing to a purchase. What about Yolk? https://somepx.itch.io/free-font-yolk
Let me know if I can help in any other way, no problem at all.
Hello! No, the outline is just an effect: there are several ways to achieve that programmatically (like printing the same line in black with an offset, all around the white text), or by adding it to the PNG spritesheet and use that instead.
TTF fonts only have one color, so adding an outline in the font itself can't be done. I'm in the process of updating all my old font pages to avoid this misunderstanding.
Hi Lou!! Yeah, the default letter spacing is meant to give a "terminal/prompt" feel, but you can definitely use it with -1 spacing as well!
If you want to increase the width of the "space" itself in C3, you can tweak the Spacing Data: try [[4," "]... instead of [[3," "].
You can contact me on Discord if you need help (I'm somepx there too). Ho notato che il tuo gioco supporta l'italiano, ottimo! 🍕
