Wow! Indeed it's super fun!
The feeling of the gun shooting is top notch, it makes the whole game addicting!
Also liked the rather innovative controls as well as the boss mechanics.

I finished the game first try but with none lives left!

Great game!

Great game! I liked the SFX very much! It adds to the game feel!

Nice concept and execution, well done!

Thank you for playing the game and leaving a comment KSaSN!

Glad you liked our effort!

Thank you very much Evangelos!!!

Looking forward to join us for a game jam in the future!

Adding more visual feedback would have been nice, but we prioritized on having the most functional gameplay possible with the time at hand!

Thank you for playing the game and leaving a comment! Have a great day!

(1 edit)

We wanted to make a simple game and add variety where we could.

At first the shark was gonna be another "rock" enemy, meaning they would come from the top edge of the screen, just with more velocity and different visual flair.

Afterwards, we came up with the idea of having them come from one side of the screen to the other (left to right). We were spawning them in a random spot, somewhere the camera can't see, and having them target another random spot on the other side of the map. Then we implemented the random side and it just felt right! At the end we experimented with a more systemic approach, using collisions: If a shark collides with a rock or seaweed or another shark what happens? The result can be seen at the last level where sharks come more often and you can use the other elements to protect yourself!

Thanks for playing the game and sharing your thoughts! Have a great day!

We chose to make the game simple because it was our first time working together as a team and using Unity3D.
Love the fact that you read the letters and you found them engaging!

Thanks again for playing the game and taking time to leave kind words!

Have a great jam!

Great entry! I really liked the concept and the look of the sea!

Simple concept and effective!

Well done, have a nice jam!

Thank you very much for playing the game and leaving a comment!

Yes, I had a clear vision of what I wanted to do and the music fit the visuals nicely! Did you solve it?

Thank you for playing the game and replying!

To be honest I searched for the background music in the last day among other stuff and I was worried if I made the right choice!

So glad you liked it!

Nice heartwarming game! Had some problems with the interface (clicking and dragging to give the snowballs).

Other than that a great game!

Thank you so much for the kind words!

It is so nice to hear these words! Thank you for playing and for the feedback! Have a nice day!

Thanks for playing the game and leaving a reply!

Yes many people thought the controls were awkward! Other than that, I think it should work on most browsers. ( I use Mozilla)

Thank you for playing and for the feedback. Have a great day!

Thank you for playing! Nice score!

The controls need a bit tuning, it's true! Hope you had a good time!

Thank you for your feedback!

Thank you for playing and commenting!

Yes, it makes absolute sense and adds a strategic element to the run!

Will you for the difficult points or the easier.

This combined with a meta upgrade system where you spend the points earned would be sweet!

Thanks again for playing and the great feedback!

Cool game and trippy concept! I loved the mechanic where you shrink in order to fit into small crevices.

I kept getting caught by the first guard because I was so big and she was tiny and I couldn't notice her! x

Nice vibes you got there! Have a nice game jam!

Simply excellent! Everything works fine and comes together nicely! Also, I loved the music at the shopping.

Have a nice day!

ahahahaha thank you for the feedback! I wanted it to be chaotic, but easy so the player feels excitement.

I set up 4 spawn points above the world and they randomly "drop" a food at a fixed interval. So, yes sometimes the food may favor one spawn point since it's RNG. Also, some food are stackable, like cakes or cheese!

Thanks for playing and leaving a comment! I appreciate it! Have a nice day!

Very interesting idea and game! I loved the concept and the aesthetics.

I found it a little hard to manage every room and assign room to each new insect!

At the end of the day I got fired at around 80 points! That grumpy chief, let him handle them! xD

All in all, nice game!

Thank you for playing and for the feedback! Yes, I can see how this could be frustrating! I should have just made the camera rotation binded to the mouse!

Thanks again for playing and for leaving an honest comment, it means a lot!

Have a nice day!

Great game! Very polished! I was impressed that the asteroids explode into smaller parts you have to either shoot or avoid.

At first I played it safe but then I blasted through like a lunatic and it was super fun!

Maybe you could add an element to "force" the player to drive faster and make more mistakes?

Something like a timer, perhaps! I dunno...

Anyways, excellent game! Have a nice day!

Nice puzzle game! I really liked the sound that the pieces make when dragged. It gives a nice tactile feel that is addicting! I also found the little guys to be rewarding. Two things that would make me play more would be:

1. To be able to get past the dropped pieces. If you block your entry it's game over, so you have to start at the other corner to have an advantage. Also there are spaces where a piece fits but can't go there!

2. I would have liked a grid background so that I can see more easily where a piece fits.

Great game for the jam! Loved the tiny robots! Have a nice day!

Thank you for playing and for your feedback!

Yes, you are completely right about the camera controls. At first I wanted to make a top-down shooter and I changed the position of the camera while I was experimenting with gameplay. Later, I decided to make a physics based game because it felt funny, but I didn't thought of changing the control scheme. After having the time to think whats wrong it was a bit late to change it! Thanks again for playing and leaving a comment! Have a nice day!

Nice action platformer! I loved the fact that you even made cut scenes and a boss!

Two things I found a little off was:

1. The control of the knight while he is airborne. I feel like a needed more control and couldn't safely calculate landing on platforms.

2. There was a time when you have to double jump and dash while you are sliding a wall. The first time I got there I had used my double jump and couldn't make it across. (I think the double jump should refresh when you hug a wall)

All in all, great game and excellent presentation! Have a nice game jam!

Thank you very much for playing and leaving a comment!

Yes you are right, if I added upgrades then the Player would invest more time playing!

Thanks again for your time and feedback. Have a nice day!

Nice game! Very well presented all in all! My only gripe is that sometimes you just can't make it from the one side of the screen to the other, resulting in some frustrating RNG-hate moments! Especially if you don't want to have any of your cells damaged. Have a nice day!

Got 10.105! Great game! As others said, very beautiful explosion effects, if they were accompanied by a crisp sound effect it would be a match made in... stars! Very good overall! Have a nice day!

Survived till tear 269! It is quite easy in the beginning but as the population grows the difficulty ramps up.

Amazing presentation! From the start I got the feeling of a premium quality game. Very good polishing! Also I loved the font and the music!

Καλή συνέχεια στο Game Jam!

Nice vibes you got there! I really liked the alien/sci-fi feel of the game. Unfortunately, as others said, I also had trouble navigating the world and controlling the ship! Apart from the fact that the ship doesn't face the direction it's heading, you could also add some monuments/static objects around the planet (eg rocks, pillars, etc) so that the player gets the sense of movement. Really loved the mysterious vibe! Have a great game jam!

Great implementation of the theme! I also liked the "meta" game where you upgrade your world.
Great entry!

I should have made it more clear, I can see how it can be confusing! Thanks for playing and for the feedback! Have a nice game jam!

Yes, you have 0.5 seconds before being spotted and because there is not an "alert" phase, you instantly lose.

If it was longer it would be way too easy, if it was shorter it would be frustrated for players who aren't familiar with stealth games.

I wish I had more time to get more levels in and work on their design but I got out of time!

Thank you very much for playing and for your honest feedback!

Thank you very much for playing and leaving a comment!

Amazing little game! Very enjoyable!

Great art and the music fits the mood nicely. I was also impressed by the main menu! Very polished in all areas.

One of my favorites of the jam!

Great idea and execution!

Amazing puzzle and level design for the time given.

I have to be honest, I found the levels from 14 and onward to be very difficult.

On the same page, it is very satisfying completing a level with a few seconds left!

I also found the random rats' color a nice touch.

All in all a very complete entry. Well done!!

Amazing little game!

I liked how you managed to get the most out of few mechanics! That's some great level design!

I also died on my first try and barely managed to save the witch on my second.

Graphics and sound were a nice fit to set the right mood. Everything came together nicely.

Last but not least, I loved that intro, it was hilarious!

Thank you so much for playing and for the input!

Best of luck to you too!

Couldn't have said it better myself!

Thank you very much for playing and for the kind feedback!

Yes, I agree with everything you said about being short and having no sound! I had a much bigger vision for this game, but unfortunately I ran out of time!

Developing this was kinda like racing in it's own right xD

Great fun and nice vibes!

The graphics and the audio make this a unique experience.

The controls felt good. I maybe would have liked the camera to be a little more zoomed out, but I am not quite sure if that would make the game a lot easier...

p.s.: I got an S ranking!!!
