I mean, the guy is 200 meters up climbing while unscrewing things and escaping from a weird thing. If you factor all of that he was pretty deam fast, I don't think any human alive could go that fast up a ladder for that long XD
But I'm glad you liked it even with it's shortcomings.
The art style is def something I am taking out of this game into my next project, this game was made in 2 weeks so I will take longer and hopefully make something cooler!
This game is really cooool, is it perhaps inspired by egg harvester? I loved that game and wanted to play more like it but couldn't find anything. So I’ve been thinking about making my own for a while lol.
Are you a solo dev?
Also, some feedback. I would recommend swapping the shift +MMB to rotate. I was really confused and frustrated while rotating things at first until I discovered that mode of rotating, as the “snap rotate” feels weird and bugged more than snap, but the other one is perfect.
I would love to see more of this game, especially ways to automatize /move the products better towards the hole. Although the combo would stack infinitely if you can do that, I have no idea what you are planning there but I’m looking forward to seeing what you come up with!
This game is really cooool
Realy cool game! I loved the music.
Make sure that before loading & after unloading a zone the doors cant open! XD
I managed to parkour into the first door you have to feed a candy to get to and the world wasn't loaded, the screenshot is from the door you have to step into to pass, I left a candy in the pressureplate and passed XD
Also, some coliders are a bit wonky and I would suggest lowering the bouncinnes of the player physics material and giving the player just a tiny bit of air control.
You are an artist and it shows! the visuals are incredible, with a bit more polish in some little things and longer gameplays it could be a really good game appealing to those who grew up playing ps2 games with that puzzle / unlocking things gameplay.
Keep it up!
It took me around 15 days to make the game, but I used my own asset I created with the first person movement, interactions, menu, save system and some more things already pre-made. If you factor that it would have taken a lot longer.
I made some of the models myself from scratch but I did use some free assets from other people, altho every asset was edited heavily in blender and substance painter to fit the vibe of the game and have that ""pixelated"" texture look.
(The textures are not really pixelated as the normal map has to be in a high resolution to have that feel but it gives a weird high quality voxel/psx look that I like)
And I am glad you liked it! Thanks a lot for giving it a try and sharing your thoughts
