Looking for a programmer for Flash-style remakes (paid revenue split)

Hi everyone,

my nickname is FlawlessRider and I’m looking for a reliable programmer who loves classic Flash games.

As a kid, Flash games shaped a big part of my childhood — games like Ninja Brawl, Swordless Ninja, Time Bomb 90 Second, Yan Loong Legend, Hobo, 3 Foot Ninja, Monkey Kart, Raccoon Racing and many more.

Today I want to bring some of that energy back, but in a modern remake style (2D or simple 3D, depending on the project).

⭐ What I can do:

ideas & game concepts

visual style direction

character sketches

level ideas

story & gameplay design

(I am not a programmer. I need someone who can handle the coding side.)

⭐ What I’m looking for:

A programmer who can:

make simple 2D or 2.5D action games

work with Unity / Godot / GameMaker

communicate normally and consistently

likes Flash nostalgia vibes

⭐ First test project I’d love to remake:

Time Bomb 90 Second → a modern version, same vibe, better graphics, more levels

(90 seconds per level, bomb defusal theme, simple action)

If the first small game works well, we can continue with more remakes or original projects.

💰 Payment:

I propose a revenue split (fair share): 65% for you (programmer), 35% for me.

Because the code is the hardest job — I handle ideas, visuals and design.

⭐ Long-term goal:

To build a small “Modern Flash Era Collection” on Steam or itch.io.

📩 If you’re interested:

Please DM me here on itch.io

or reply under this post.

Thanks for reading — and I hope someone out there feels the same Flash nostalgia as I do!

I could help if you want.

Hey!

Thanks a lot for replying.

Yes, I’m definitely interested — I’m looking for a programmer to help with small Flash-style remakes (simple 2D action games with nostalgia vibes).

I already have a concept ready for a remake of the game “Time Bomb 90 Second” (Hostility), plus a few other ideas.

I would handle:

level design

story

simple visuals / graphics

game ideas & concepts

You would handle:

programming (Unity / Godot / anything you prefer)

For revenue split, I’m offering a fair share:

70% for you, 30% for me.

If you want, we can start with a small test project to see how well we work together.

You can DM me here on itch.io or continue in this thread.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Is there a deadline? Right now I'm busy with other game projects so I cannot code immediately. I can do like 2/3 hours a week. After this month (and the first week of December), one of the games I'm making will be out and so, I have more time to work on this.

Hi!

Thanks a lot for your quick reply — no worries about the time. I completely understand.

There’s no rush at all. Even 2–3 hours a week is totally fine for a start.

The important thing is simply to try working together.

If you want, we can begin with a very small test project so there's no pressure on you.

Just let me know when you’d like to start — I can wait.

And good luck with finishing your current game!

By the way, if you don’t mind, I’d love to try one of the games you’ve made.

If you have a demo or a build you can share, I’d be really happy to play it.

It's a bit awkward to talk here to be honest, don't you have a Discord or something. If you do, add me:

dignoranza

Thanks! I’ll add you on Discord tomorrow – it’s getting late here and I’m going to sleep now.

Looking forward to talking with you!

Hi! Has the spot already been filled? I can make polished games things very quickly as you can see from my game jam history, and I have a lot of free time that can be educated to your projects.

“Nice games on your profile!”

“Hi! I’m looking for someone to work with me on a small 2D FPS shooter in a cartoon Flash style.

The game is completely 2D, but with a first-person perspective (hands + gun).

I’m handling all the graphics myself — I already have hands, gun, enemies, environment tiles and effects done.

I need help with the programming and creating a small prototype level.

If this sounds interesting to you, I can send you everything I have so far.”

“The game you have on Steam looks perfect!”

“Thanks guys, that’s awesome! I’m already working on one game with someone right now, but I would be happy to make another project with you in the future.”
