Why can't we like devlogs anymore?

It's such an odd thing to do. I mean, what's wrong with the ability to like devlogs? It's not like anyone's gonna bother to fake likes on them.

Sounds like a bug, can you link me to an example page where you’re having the issue so I can take a look? Edit: I spotted the problem, will push out a fix shortly. Thanks for reporting.

Sure! Here's one: https://rastek.itch.io/animal-village-2/devlog/1129148/outside-areas

It's not like anyone's gonna bother to fake likes on them.

Unfortunately, that section has lots of fake posts. Curious how they have a like button, but no report button. This issue is not new, it has been so for years I think. One can find such pages via google too. That's a big problem in my opinion.

Example. Took me less than a minute to find one. There is more.

Oh, so the blogs not linked to any page on a developer's page has likes visible, but not any devlogs linked onto a page?

I was referring to the fact that there are criminals posting scam pages as blogs. If they think it will help, they will fake the likes. I am rather sure they faked followers occasionally. At least I hope the accounts with the fake blogs and 40+ followers I have seen had fake followers instead of gullible users follwing a scammer.

The like button is still available in the feed itself, just not on the page. It's called like event and looks like a heart.

That the button is missing on some type of posts seems like a bug, and leafo seems to have identified the bug already.

Oh, hello again. Until I saw this post, I didn't even notice it - turns out I have the same problem

I found something. Like button exist, but not showed up

So it might be a bug after all!

I think this can be a reason:

But I see that admins noticed which code breaking like button. So, my observations are no longer needed
