Yesterday I published my very first game and I would love feedbacks. It's too hard? Do you like the style?  The music and general sounds are ok? Thanks. https://moonkey-games.itch.io/castle-trial

Hello!

Here is Mr.Paw ^〰^.

I'm here to give you some feedbacks!

The thoughts I'll share aren't intended to be disruptive, but rather constructive and intended to help you improve your project. I'll try to divide the message into several sections.

Style: The style is fine, although some elements, such as the keys or walls, tend to blend in too much with the surrounding environment. This could create visual problems and distract the player. I'd suggest highlighting them more, perhaps with some special effects or positioning them in strategic locations for the human eye.

Hitbox:

I would suggest you revise the hitboxes of enemies, the platforms the player can climb on, and the traps. Sometimes they are difficult to reach, or they are positioned too high, or sometimes they are too small. The same goes for the speed of these elements: Player (Especially the jump while walking), Enemies(right now they are too fast), and Platforms.

Music: In answer to your question about the music, I personally didn't find it annoying or intrusive, just a little repetitive. If it bothers some players you might consider adding a settings page that allows the player to turn the volume up or down as they like.

A fundamental piece of level design advice I can give you is to almost never (except in some cases) give the player only one way to reach an objective, but rather try to give multiple opportunities, remember: the game is also a teaching tool, the same applies to simple platform games as well.

I hope this feedback helps you make some changes to your project and that it's been helpful. Best of luck!

Thanks for the feedback! I will definitely consider adding some of your tips!
