Locked out of account due to changing phone (2FA)

Greetings, I changed my phone a while back and all my 2 factor authentication codes weren’t updated when i swapped phones leaving me only able to log-in to my account from devices that still had the browser cookies (not my main workstation unfortunately) so i’d like my accounts 2 factor authentication to be temporarily disabled so i can re-enable it with my new phone.

I also sent an email to itch support about this on November 12th (Request: 323183) and i’m just following up on it now.

I've let our admins know about your ticket.

If I may offer some personal advice? When you re-enable 2FA, make sure to download the recovery codes as well. They're meant for exactly this kind of situation. And Aegis Authenticator for example lets you back up its settings (in a password-encrypted file) so you can move them between phones.

yeah i appear to have lost mine, this time i’ll make sure to keep these backup codes in a secure place i can easily access them, thanks!
