How does the game fit the theme?
Collect sugar to bake the biggest cookie!
The stakes are high! If you are defeated you are replaced by a new contestant and lose ALL your progress! So every time you chose to return to the dungeon for more sugar, you are placing what you already gained at risk, and further dive into that risk the more rooms you decide to explore.
Random events between the rooms will test your greed for a greater reward.

It’s rare that I actively have to pull myself away from a game jam game to look at others and do other stuff! Great work! Obviously anyone who makes a game about a character using a piping bag as a starting weapon to kill a bunch of baked goods has great taste :) I feel like the creme brulees were a little unfair especially when you spawn in on one. Seems like if you cut your health mod in half and then pick to increase it by 25% it doesn’t work properly and you’re left with the same 50 health. Definitely the death to restart loop took about 10x longer than it needed to. The intro cutscene was neat but your f’s and t’s look very similar and it was a little hard to read at times D:
There’s other minor nitpicks I might have like this about balance and whatnot, but this was really super strong and I think I’m almost certainly gonna come back and play some more :) Amazing work!
Thank you so much for the insightful feedback! The enemy spawning should be fixed on the post-jam version, the health mod issue noted and will be tested and fixed, and I do agree that the death loop gets tired after a while and needs to be quicker, tune in for the post-jam release if interested! Also glad you enjoyed the cheeky aesthetic!
This is really interesting! I love that I have to use different approaches for different monsters. The upgrade system is also commendable—you can really feel the satisfying impact of leveling up your character and weapons. Great game!
Glad the progression worked the way we hoped with the playerbase! Thanks for playing really appreciate it <3
I really enjoyed this game :D

What a score! Although it's a 213.10 meters cookie... Now that's a conundrum would you rather have 213 million cookies or a single the size of a skyscraper?
Why not both >:3
solid game, I'm surprised the runs in browser, your team knows what they are doing!
Thank you for playing and rating <3
Amazing work on this one. So much content for a jam game. Great art-style too. I cashed out with a 33.46m cookie. And those Pasteis de nata made me hungry... Nice.
PASTEIS DE NATA MENTIONED!!!! Thank you for the rating and nice score!
Fun game with pretty great presentation. I enjoyed the choice of weapons and enemies, each unique and with different strategies to approach from. The stats, weapons, upgrades stack to a satisfying level after surviving for a while. While I'm not the biggest fan of the idea of inserting roulettes and other gambling devices as the cheap trick of "risking it", I rolled that roulette wheel a few more times than I am willing to admit, chasing those sugar cubes like an addict chases crack. Great music choice as well. Also, who the hell named the character "handy"? I love him. Congrats on the submission, it has an impressive level of polish and depth.
Really appreciate the feedback! Yeah we get it that "gamble" mechanics are very cliché and obvious for the risking factor but we also consider than the gameplay loop of having to tap out at the right time or risk losing everything when being too greedy is also a factor in the theme, very happy to see it got you hooked tho ahaha. We love a cheeky name for our protagonist :)
Great game with a nice visual style, a good variety of monsters and weapons, and I also enjoyed the soundtrack. I’d really appreciate it if you could rate our game!
Thanks for playing the game and rating it <3 (Will do!)
It is a great game, very polished and the audio is on point! I actually giggled when died instead of feeling frustration because I was enjoying it so much! Great job!
So glad you enjoyed the experience so much! Lots of love was put into this project and rejoiced it seems to have came through the way we hoped!
Pretty well polished game, the visuals are nice and the variety in enemy types was great too!
Thank you for playing the game and commenting <3
Really had fun with this! I loved they way you incorporated the risk/reward element both in the do you try for another level or play it safe and go back to the lobby, and in the end of the level spin the wheel/card picker portions. I really liked all the different enemy types, there was a ton of variety both in gameplay and in visually. The only thing I ran into that was a negative was the randomness of enemy spawning at times. I had the exploding pie spawn basically on top of me one round, and I didn't have enough time to move out of the way, so that felt a little bit unfair, but other than that, the art the music and the main concept was incredibly fun. One of my favorite games this jam!
Very happy to see the different layers that incorporate the theme being noticed and playing into the theme the way we hoped, that's exactly what we strived for when developping the game, nice review! Indeed the enemy spawning could have been worked on better to avoid these unfair and very possible scenarios. Still, thank you for this glowing review <3
This was really fun! I loved the art style, especially the drawings for the tutorial at the beginning, and there's quite a bit of depth to the game! A very impressive project
Thank you for noticing and appreciating that little intro sequence, our artist put a lot of effort into the drawings! Glad you enjoyed the game <3
Really cool game! Amazed at how much you accomplished in the span of a jam. The characters and enemies are all really excellent and have lots of personality. Well done!
Thank you a lot! Glad all the passion put into the characters design came through the way we hoped!
The visuals of this game were very well worked! Really, the UI suprised me, the balance and the enemies are awesome! Congrats for the team.
Thank you so much for playing and rating the game and appreciating the love and effort poured into it <3
The mechanics of the different enemies and how they are tied to their dessert was really fun to see! I liked how the player's runtime was customizeable as well.
Glad you noticed the ties between the pastries and their mechanics! Thanks for playing the game <3
Great game! I absolutely love the music, and the gameplay feels really good as well.
Thank you so much, appreciate the comment <3
Cool game, The player is slow though, but overall good job!
Thanks for the feedback, the player's speed is tuned with upgrades in mind which is why it may be sluggish at first, glad you liked the game still!
The Visuals looks great, Audio could be better. Character movements is kinde slow... But overall a great experinece.
Thank you so much for the feedback! Sound design definitely is our achilles' heel as we have no dedicated sound designer and little experience in that regard. The base move speed is balanced around upgrades and temporary in-game buffs which is why it may be a bit sluggish at first, still, happy to hear you enjoyed the experience still!
woah, the game is well polished and really fun, the team did really well, I enjoyed it :D 10/10
Really appreciate it, thank you <3
It was so cool, how did you make it in a few days? Everything was amazing, especially the sentence “you should waste sugar to gain sugar.”
Glad to hear you enjoyed the game and thank you for the comment! Everyone in the team dedicated a lot of time and passion into this jam, and definitely sacrificed a good night of sleep in the final stretch, hope it was worth it!
What a little gem! I had a lot of fun, but I would have loved to have a download option so I wouldn’t have to play in the browser and could keep my progress. I’ll definitely come back to play again!
Thank you so much, so glad you enjoyed the game! Bug fixes and an .exe port are coming in the next 48 hours window, stay tuned! :D
