RISCUIT's itch.io page

How does the game fit the theme?
Riskcuit is all about risk and reward.
Pressing the Risk Button multiplies cookie points but makes the game harder: faster enemies, falling missiles.
Every choice counts grab the biscuit, but beware the chaos.

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
We used a pre-made tileset for basic blocks and royalty-free sound effects as a starting point. Everything else gameplay code, character art, UI, VFX, and the cookie asset was fully created by our team from scratch and tailored to deliver Riskcuit’s chaotic, high risk gameplay.

How many people worked on the game?

The dash mechanic is very fun! The little bunny character is also very cute. Totally was not expecting more monsters to pop up after pressing r, haha! Great work!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Haha, that's exactly the vibe we wanted! More risk, more fun... and more monsters! 😄

 Really appreciate you playing!

Very cool game!  I loved having multiple movement options for more tactical routing/control over the character.

Developer(+1)

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the movement options, we wanted it to feel fun and tactical 😄

Dont know why but i couldn'y get past the 2nd wave lol, But in all Its a great game! 10/10

Developer

Haha, the second wave can be really tricky! Pro tip: try using dash early to escape the chaos. And wow, thanks so much for the 10/10!

Submitted(+2)

Wow this one offers quite the challenge! I don't think managed to get past the 4th wave. What score did you manage to get? Hope you all had fun with making the game. Great work!

Developer(+1)

Thanks so much for playing! Glad you felt the challenge it’s meant to keep you on your toes 😄

I only managed to get to around 100 points it gets seriously intense after a few risk upgrades!

Submitted(+2)

Really well thought out game, great concept and fits the theme perfectly. A good amount of challenge with each risk it upgrade making it steadily more difficult. Well done.

Developer(+1)

Thanks a lot! Glad you enjoyed.

Submitted(+2)

loved the game idea ! the way it keeps going and opens path for a continues core loop where you get a score each time is sold, it gets really difficult after a while which is even more fun , Good luck!

Developer

Thank you so much!

We’re really glad you enjoyed the core loop and the increasing challenge, it was exactly what we hoped would make the game fun and engaging.

it was fun to play. great platformer experience!

Developer

Thanks a lot! Really happy you liked it :)

A neat concept! The gameplay was pretty good, the addition of more "fun" was very neat, I like how the player is allowed to make the game more challenging on their own terms. I do have a small question, though: Are you supposed to be able to go through some of the walls when wall-jumping? It was certainly a bit odd.

Developer(+1)

Thanks a lot for the feedback!

Just to clarify: the player can pass through platforms, by jumping or by pressing the down arrow

but they cannot go through the walls.

That part was designed to give players an extra way to escape quickly When things get dangerous and messy, It was our way of adding a bit more freedom and strategy to the “risk” aspect of the game.

We’re glad you enjoyed the concept and the challenge :)

Submitted(+2)

Great game! It lured me into a false sense of security before the real challenge kicked in.

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! That's exactly the experience we were hoping to create. We wanted the initial calm to make the escalating chaos feel even more intense and unpredictable. Really glad you enjoyed the challenge!

Submitted(+2)

Fascinating idea of making it harder the more biscuits you want! It definitely got harder for sure, but it was a good curve, alto the game wasn't very forgiven with enemies and invincible frames when damaged.

Overall, had a nice experiencing trying it out for some minutes!

Love the atmosphere you created in your game! Also the wall jump is fun and interesting

Developer

Thank you so much for your kind words about our game!  I really appreciate it.

By the way, I also played your game and I have to say, it’s the best 3D game I’ve played so far. Super fun and I loved how you applied the theme, amazing work!

Gave me the same vibes as the hidden minigames from FNAF 3. It was really fun and I enjoyed the dark theming. The black and white arcade vibe was super fun. Would love for the "lore" to be expanded!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! The FNAF comparison is a huge compliment, and I’m really glad you enjoyed the game.

One of our main goals was to capture that dark, arcade vibe, so it’s amazing to hear that it came through clearly.

At its core, Riscuit is about how getting food isn’t always easy. In some parts of the world, that choice can cost you your life. We tried to reflect that feeling through the confined space, multiplying enemies, and unpredictable missiles.

Your mention of the lore gives us hope that the message resonated. If we get the chance to develop the game further, we’ll definitely expand on this world. Thanks again!

The idea of the game is really good, and it got even more fun when I discovered I could use multiple jumps. But I’m not sure if the multiple jumps were intentional, sometimes I couldn’t jump that many times, and if you hold SPACE the dash never stops, which makes it really hard to control haha. I loved the intro and the bunny art though, it was a nice fit on the theme, good job

Developer

Thank you! We're so happy you understood the deeper meaning behind the game.
We'll fix the dash bug soon. Your feedback is super helpful for us in this game jam!

Great Job!
I like that i can slide down the wall. That felt very smooth.
The sounds and art fitted very well together.

Got kind of stuck in a platform a few times but managed to jump out of it again.
Apart from that, very enjoyable.

Keep going!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! Glad you liked the wall slide and style. We'll check that platform getting stuck. Appreciate you playing!

As others previously have mentioned, the design of the levels is great! Pretty solid game, good job 👍

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much ! I really glad you enjoyed the level design!

Lovely game, enjoyed getting those cookies more and more. It fits pretty well with the theme, and enemies are fast enough to catch me once I'm close.

Good job guys.

Developer(+1)

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed the game.

The level was quite nice. I liked the double jump and wall cling mechanics. The idea of adding more risk and continuing was very on brand with the theme. There were a couple of bugs on the platforms occasionally where you couldn’t move, but for the most part it was a fun game. well done.

Developer(+1)

Thanks a lot!  Glad you enjoyed it, and we’ll work on fixing those bugs :)

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed the game. I’ve fixed the movement bug you can play it now without any problems.

Well done! I like the level design, the concept works great and it's good fun to play. Unfortunately I couldn't press D while on a platform.

Developer

Thanks! Really happy you liked it :)

We’ll fix that platform bug soon!

Developer

Thank you for your kind words! I'm glad you enjoyed the game. We've fixed the movement bug, so it should be working properly now.

I thought the contrast between the black and white scenery was really cool. We usually see games like this in very colorful styles, and you did something different in that sense, really good.

I don't know if it's a bug, but at certain points the character couldn't walk, only jump, even without anything blocking his path.

Anyway, your game is really cool.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for your kind words! I really wanted to experiment with the black and white contrast, so I’m happy it stood out to you.

As for the part where the character couldn’t walk, I’ll definitely look into that  it’s super helpful feedback.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for your kind words! I hope you enjoyed playing the game. We've fixed the movement bug, so it should be working fine now.

Creative name! Unfortunately, I'm stuck on the first level."
