Interesting blend between 2D and 3D art. The game is easy to play and funny. I would recommend that you don’t play 2 music tracks at the same time as it’s really had to listen to. Other than that, great work!

Developer

🌟 Thank you so much for the kind words! 💖

I’m glad our game's creativity resonated with you—it means a lot.

Any 2 music shouldn't play together, that’s a bug. Thanks for highlighting. (If you could provide more details, that would be very helpful.)

Your feedback will help shape the game, and the final version will be out soon.

When the game is complete, I’d be delighted if you’d return to explore it!

Developer

✨ I’ll be sure to check out your game and leave a rating too—excited to see what you’ve made! 🚀

Developer

🌳 Yo Jam squad! Your chaotic forest goblins (aka Glimmerwood Catchlings) are back to  MISINTERPRET the theme in the best way possible 🌱✨🧹

Players be like: “Wait… in this demo we just grow tiny plants… but where’s the ‘Take Control’??” 🥺👉👈

Oh, we heard “Take Control” loud and clear. We took it so seriously we’re basically the HOA presidents of the entire ecosystem now.

  • You already "Took control" of your sad little basil plant you keep forgetting to water.
  • You  already "Took control" of deforestation.
  • You already "Took control" of that barren parking lot.

Planting a sapling in the demo? That’s just the warm-up. 🌱 The real “Take Control” begins when those saplings start demanding sunlight rights.

Because they’re not just saplings anymore—in the final game they’ll evolve from “cute desk decorations” into fully armed environmental overlords inside the brand-new Catchling Sanctuary zone.

And trust me, the Sanctuary isn’t just a cozy garden. When you roll up with a backpack full of saplings, the game whispers: “Welcome home, war criminal. Time to take control… for real.” 🌍🔥

Appreciate your time and support!!!!

Fingers crossed this plants an extra star in our surrounding environment rating 🌱⭐.

The art is a mess

-------

It holds no cohesion or constant style. The player pot looks clay like textured

the bugs look like plastic.

the background is paper

the moth guy looks like a low poly 3d model

also that crab thing was very 3d.

The clouds are like also paper but more 3d breaking the 2d look it had in a start and the sun is a totally diferent style

The plant is 2d and with other style to everything else

--------

You see what I mean, You have waay too many styles in only one small scene. Nothing seems to fit with anything

But most importantly. I don't grasp how this fits with "take control"

Developer

🌸 Wow, great observation—thank you for taking the time to share such detailed thoughts!

💖 Most of the creatures and characters were intentionally designed with a clay-like and shiny 3D style, while the background draws inspiration from kirigami craft, symbolizing the idea of “crafting the environment.” ✨ I aimed to deliver a unique and original experience rather than a conventional one, and your honest feedback really helps me to understand player expectations.

🎨 I’ll keep your points in mind as I update games further—thanks again! 🚀

Absolute mind blowing art. Was very confusing to even start the game but I managed to even the part of the butterfly and night scene, then I died. Sound sometimes becomes a bit annoying. I had one moment of "wait, how long have I been playing this?" which is good I guess. The theme is not very present but the game, besides those menu bugs, looks polished and nice to play. Congratulations!

Developer

🌸 Thank you so much for the kind words and detailed feedback! 💖

I’m glad the art stood out to you—it means a lot. ✨

The current menu setup was designed specifically for the jam, keeping file size and other limits in mind. For the final version, there will be a different and improved menu, and your input will definitely help shape it.

🎮 Your encouragement gives us a big boost—thanks again, and I hope you’ll revisit when the final version is ready! 🚀

I think this has the makings of a really unique vibe with an interesting set up/angle, and I really like the organic almost claymation feel to a lot of the assets, it really makes it stand out.

I was a little confused navigating some of the early menus to get into the game, and I feel like some of the visual language could be made more distinct. For example in Princess Mononoke (and a lot of Studio Ghibli films) there's a sharp contrast between the greens/blues representing vitality/ health/ nature, and then threats/ decay/ death are in darker reds, browns and purples. I think this would help new players quickly understand how to interact and understand this distinct world you are building. Original and interesting, congrats and best of luck to you!

Developer(+1)

🌸 Thank you so much for the thoughtful feedback! 💖

Your feedback truly stands out as one of the most thoughtful and detailed.

I’m really glad the claymation-like feel stood out to you—it means a lot. ✨

Your point about clearer visual language is super insightful, and I love the Studio Ghibli example; that kind of contrast could definitely help players navigate the world more intuitively. I’ll keep this in mind while updating the menus and visuals.
