I rated this during the jam, but didn't manage to comment. Fun game, I like the unique idea of a character looping on the vertical axis and the roguelike elements of only being able to select specific upgrades. I managed to beat every level easily, as I picked up a fast shooting weapon in the beginning and added damage and pierce upgrades to one-shot most enemies. The enemies designs are enjoyable to look at, even when the game is getting chaotic with loads of bullets.
Yeah. The game should be far more balanced and fun overall when we have time to work on it :)
really fun game! the art is really good too! very small nitpick, it would be nice to have a little description and/or preview for the weapons when choosing a new one so you dont get stuck with using one you don't like

Insanely well-polished! This was very fun to play. I liked the piercing upgrade because it lets my bullets loop horizontally. Although I think that upgrade made the game too easy.
The whole game is very easy. When we were testing, we were playing with NO upgrades, which was what we balanced around. Unfortunately, having upgrades makes it way easier.
I was so bummed when it ended. Loop 15 with the horizontal looping felt like a great teaser for some sort of boss fight. I really liked the eye-teeth-wall enemies, them moving at a different pace and tracking their movement through the area was a great challenge.

I love the retro aesthetic, it could easily be a snes game haha, very polished and fun, also it's very satisfying the way enemies pop like balloons
I like the concept of looping around the levels and bullets being able to loop with you.
I ran into a bug where I got lock to the top of the screen and wasn’t able to loop anymore, was able to kill the enemies but the level wouldn’t progress.
Darn! Thought we fixed that :/
It's seemingly a rare, unfortunate bug. You could always try again assuming you didn't make it too far into the game, I'd be shocked if you got it to happen a second time back to back. I understand if you don't though. :P

great fun. really smart decision to have aim controlled by the mouse so that you are always targeting the same spot even when you go between loops. music was banging. very nice work!
Incredibly sick game, loved every bit of it and it makes me wanna keep coming back to see what build I end up with by the end, only little criticism I have is that I'd like if there were an indicator on the opposite side of the screen when a bullet was about to come through, as it's a bit jarring having to look all the way at the bottom of the screen when you're at the top. That aside, I should play this again I think

Fire art, fire music, fire game. I played through it, would def play again. If I had to suggest any changes, I'd say adding the ability to equip more than one weapon, but since there was so little time it is understandable to not have a complex system. RipeMangoes next time you're on our team! No rules against a 15 person team lmao
Really good game, it was a lot of fun and has great potential to become a full fledge game that I would pay for. Only change that I would personally make is the color of the player's bullets.

The way enemies weave in and out of the looping bullets mechanic feels so clever and keeps the action fresh.
