Absolutely amazing. Played it all the way through. My only feedback is that some combos of powerups made the last 5 levels the easiest, so I guess my advice is to try and balance that out.

A very cool and engaging game that fits the theme. While this could have been yet another generic loop of die-and-retry the take of a looping level is very good and honestly it’s hard to find games that just absorb you like that.

One of the only games I fully completed. A honestly fun time that got pretty difficult towards the end. Amazing job!

Hey it's the PGMA guys! Also how did you do this in 4 days lol

Late nights and cramming! It was fun. A bit intense :)

HOLY MOLY. WAITER, WAITER, MORE PLEASE! I cannot get enough of this. Insanely fun gameplay, super creative concept, AWESOME art and sound direction, I have genuinely no critiques at all. For a game jam game, this is astonishing.

We, in theory, would like to continue the project. We'll see ;) Thank you!

Astoundingly good art direction, and super fun idea! Winning contender for sure, I'd love to see even more crazy upgrades!

Love the art style!

Great game! Love the art style and the polish, everything works well together.

Hee-Ho. Nice hard game, cool art

Great game - cool idea, great execution, great art and aesthetic. Really enjoyed playing this one. But my favourite part is how you teach the player how to operate the game through the main menu. Lovely touch.

Quite possibly the juiciest game jam game I've ever played! Great job!

Full game when?

Developer(+2)

We'll have to get back to you on that one lol.

Thanks. :)

I LOVED the art style and the music. They really matched the game's vibe. The idea itself was creative, but it took some time to get used to the core mechanic. It was hard to track my own ship when the larger waves came. A true boss fight was missing and with the correct upgrades it was a bit too easy to win the game. I would appreciate a hardcore version!

The glass breaking interaction is nice and the art style is also well done

Insanely polished game. Love me a bullet storm and this fully scratched that itch. Would happily play this for an evening on a big screen :)

Well, would you look who it is? It's PokeNinjaGuy, RipeMangoez, and squiggythings thinking they can dispense peak upon another game jam without ME having a thing  or two to say about it. I bet they thought their stylish graphics, simultaneously uniquely alien and vibrantly pleasant, would perfectly complement a game housing such an unexpected premise and such a demand for clarity. Oh, the hubris to think I would be too occupied bopping my head to the exhilarating and rhythmically diverse tunes to notice how the prolific enemy variety serve to fully realize the mechanics of constant upwards trajectory and of projectiles looping around to make both edges of the screen precarious. Oh, how I chortle at the notion that they believed the frequent upgrades would not only prevent the gameplay from becoming stale but also permit them to create increasingly impressive enemy layouts while never overwhelming the player, constantly keeping the player in the flow state! It is a lofty dream to aspire that the ending bring me to tears, that it render me a buzzing firecracker of emotion, pendulating between euphoric gratitude to the forces above for placing me on this Earth at the precise moment in time that would allow me to see this creation  with my own eyes and piecing agony at the fact I will never again play it for the first time. As he who bares witness to the cosmic insurmountability of Cthulhu is henceforth barred from ignorant tranquility, I shall spend the remainder of my life puzzling fruitlessly over how they produced this digital deity in only a few rotations of the Earth.

oops my finger slipped and i rated it five stars

WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN MAH SWAAMP?!?!!!?

glad to know you hated every single second of our game. it's what we strive to achieve. :>

Game crashed when I was in the 3rd loop (Safari on iPad). It was nice until here. :)

Oops! We didn't have anyone to test the mac build lol. At least you made it to level 3 though! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Ya'll went crazy this time. The art was stunning, the juice was great, and the music was fantastic. My only complaint is that I wish it was a little harder? But honestly I think for a jam this is the best difficulty to have it at. Great job guys, I'll be back to rate it once ratings open.

Developer

I am so glad you enjoyed! We wanted a way to skip upgrades, but, alas, ran out of time. (During testing, no upgrades was most of our testing, and the last levels were HARD!)

Thanks for stopping by. Can't wait to play your game too! :D

Very nice game! Not only was the art in this game stunning, but the gameplay was quite engaging! I liked how there were rogue-like elements in it so that every run was different, and the enemy variety was plentiful. It was a little disorienting to play at first, but once you get used to it, its quite fun. Overall, this is a simple yet engaging game, good work!

Developer

Thank you! Everything is set in the game, so you *can* do the same run twice, if you so choose. But there should be a decent amount of variety if you want to play it multiple times.
