Hello again! I think this game is pretty perfect, 5s across the board. I do think its too punishing though.
This game balances a line between precision platformer and puzzle platformer, and does it well. I think the one thing holding it back is the spikes/enemies, because it makes you restart the level. In a precision platformer, I don't mind restarting the level, due to the inherit joy of moving through the level. While this game's movement is fun to pull off, I think due to your actions being timed, which is there because its the puzzle aspect of the game, it's inherently less fun then a movement system that's more responsive. Personally, I found the joy of the game to be solving the puzzles, and restarting because I messed up an order of something, or did a bad input, and having to redo the puzzles hurts the experience for me.
I'm sure it would be hard, but I bet there's a way to design these levels where dying doesn't mean losing all your progress, maybe just being sent to a different position without losing your abilities you already have gained. Just something so I don't need to repeat puzzles I've already solved.
BUT I do really like this game, and I feel like it deserves to make it into the video for sure. I wouldn't have written this much If I didn't adore Voodloop. The juice is fantastic, I love that everything is tied to the beat. You use the theme excellently. I havent seen this aesthetic in many other games this jam and the main character is adorable. Amazing Amazing job!

Super fascinating idea! Took a while to understand the controls, but once I did, I was on a roll (haha)
- I loved the the upgrades corresponded to the color of your lines, made them more satisfying.
- I was a big fan of the upgrades that made a visual change, such as extra line or extra speed. I think upgrades should have been a little more frequent.
- The art style works really well.
- I wish there was some more audio, even if it was a free music track you got from online.
- Some more game feel, such as particles when enemies die, would have gone a long way.
- Other then those nitpicks, this is a super excellent entry, you did something incredibly unique, I'm very impressed!
Great job!
AWESOME!
- Super well juiced, everything felt good! UI, the face at the bottom, the speed lines, the trail on the ice. All of these were super good touches for game feel.
- You hit the old flash game style right on the head. Excellently done. Looks amazing.
- Good gameplay loop, I enjoyed the modifiers, they kept me engaged.
- My one complaint is that I wish the player character had a smaller hitbox. I kept hitting things I felt like I did not hit.
Amazing entry, good job team!
I really enjoyed this!
- Really good job on the game feel, the particle effects felt nice and so did the sword swings.
- I think the difficulty curve was very good.
- Near the end enemies clumped up in a ball, which made it really hard to hit them without dying.
- The only thing I have to suggest is just more variety in what enemies do, if they moved in more distinct ways from each other, for example, they would each cause me to approach combat differently, but at the moment the way I fight each of them is the same.
- The summon feels very good, and it's entertaining to watch him plow through enemies.
Good job! Congratulations on the submission!
- I like the game flow a lot. The level system is seamless and I like that restarting is just looping.
- The art style is really unique. I've never seen a game use times new roman let alone make it look good
- When your moving fast it feels REALLY good, but when you get slowed down (when you're in the water), it ruins the flow state I was in.
- The loops are fun haha
Good job! I enjoyed this one a lot!
- The dragon is very cute, the pixel art is very nice!
- I liked the touch of the dragon slowing down when you are holding down to bite, it adds a satisfying amount of game feel.
- I do feel like the green enemies had too much health, but maybe I didn't understand how to deal more damage
- Circling the enemies to kill them by constriction is very neat.
Good job team! Congratulations on the entry!
What an intriguing game. I loved the platforming puzzle. It had so much in it that I'd never seen before, and it just kept surprising me. really incredible. And then the game switched over to a top down pixel art segment?! I wish there was more, I'm excited to see how you update this. Also the art was top notch! Great job!
First things first: This art style is absolutely adorable. This is the best I've seen in the jam so far. Easy 5 stars. Gameplay wise, sometimes a cat would ask for something that I didnt have enough money to get them, which was unfortunate. I like the gameplay of discovering what cats like. The tuna pun was charming :). ALSO a sushi conveyer belt for loop was super creative!
I really like this concept, I think this could be really great with a little more balancing and tweaking. Good Job team!
Very fun, great music. I hear good things about this musician...
I beat every level first try, which I think took away from the experience of this game, since I never got to see it loop! Other than that though, The movement felt good, the character was adorable, each level felt unique but not at all hard to learn or understand. Congratulations guys!
I beat it! Super cool game. I loved the world of this game, an Aztec pinball world is so interesting and kept me invested. It has a good suite of mechanics and did a good job of replicating the feel of pinball. My one nitpick is that sometimes I'd get stuck and just have to wait for the pinball to be launched about, or I would need to make a really precise shot that felt like more luck than skill. I really enjoyed this one! good job!
I love this art style so much, especially the menu art. I think the control scheme is hard to get a hang of (which is not a bad thing), so I appreciate my progress on targets being saved even when I die. Hitting a lasso and making a turn work feels SO good. I'd love to see like a speedrun of this game, I bet it would be super satisfying. Good job!
I love the train physics, its juiced super well, and the art is fantastic too. Also the audio for the train is perfect! Just driving around on the loop is enjoyable lol. I agree with the other comment that mentioned the first loop taking to long, I think the entire loop could benefit from being smaller. Great job, this is a very impressive entry!
Super cool guys! We both had similar ideas lol.
The art is really nice, especially the title logo. I liked the progression system, and the enemy designs were cool. I wish the hitboxes for the enemies were a little smaller, and it was not always clear how much damage an enemy would do, causing me to die when I didn't expect to which was a little frustrating, but those are nitpicks.
I thought the core gameplay worked super well. Also the audio was great. Good job!
This game is super cool! I loved the tower and spell designs, and felt like there was a ton of depth. Unfortunately, after 2 minutes or so enemies stopped spawning :(. If I did something wrong or you know how to get around this let me know because I'd love to play more.
ALSO, the artwork is SO SO SO SO good, 5 stars. I love it so much.
I beat it! Really amazing art style. I think its a good amount of difficulty, which kept me invested. I think that the game being a roguelike overall hurts the game. I think if I had lost at level 4 or 5 I would have quit since I didn't want to restart, but luckily I won! The core gameplay mechanic is good and creative, and a good twist on block placing puzzle games. Good job with the entry!
Congrats on the jam entry! I was a big fan of the narration, it was really well voice acted. I thought level 2 was really good, and the timer was not too strict, with the right amount of challenge in the platforming. I really wish level 3 was shorter or broken up into more levels, getting 1 second away from the end clock and then having to restart was demoralizing. The pixel art on the bunny was very well animated, and I liked the interspliced cutscene/footage. It have the game a unique vibe I don't normally see. Good job!
