This one is pretty hard, but also very fun.
I'll just say that the little stars being ennemies surprised me a bit. It's probably Mario's fault, but my first instinct was to go collect them. Maybe making it more evident that they are bad things would help.
Cute lil game with engaging gameplay. The projectiles sometimes spawn in places that are hard to react to, but the spawn rate of hearts is generous enough to accommodate it that I got through it first try (15:03 btw :p). In fact, at first I thought it was just a high score game and that maybe getting all hearts would do something else haha. Overall, fun entry, dig the music as well!
Also Pico 8 instantly makes this cooler, I just love the idea of working with the limitations of a non-existent retro console

Thx! Since that was my first pico game, I didn't want to go too deep without much knowledge about the engine. I think I used 8-9 colours in total all from original palette. Also, I really love how original pico blue and red go together. Definitely that was a inspiration for the game.
Dang that's so good! It's still surprising to me how good people are using the palette, it feels like a totally different vibe to my own pico-8 games. Well done!
Nice one! I love PICO 8 games. Is this inspired a little by Undertale minigames? It felt like it.
Not a specific game, but general avoid the objects genre with combination of falling "loop". Heart is just a coincidence, because of the theme I chose. If I were to remake it, I'd probably use some design from undertale minigames.

I like it, although the controls for the power-ups were a little confusing. It was very difficult lol :)
Tried so hard to beat it, but after 15 minutes I give up!
It felt a bit unfair, but that's a part of the charm.
