How does your game fit the theme?
In Rebind: Evergreen, you play as a group of elves who have lost their forest to an eternal winter caused by people losing their connection to one another. Once, those connections fueled the forest’s everlasting spring. Your task as the elves is to restore that spring by reconnecting people’s hearts. The main mechanic is transferring human emotions from sender to receiver through a chain of elves acting as transmitters. Each connection forms a small cycle between the current sender and receiver, which becomes part of a larger cycle that connects the human sender and receiver. Every time you transfer emotions, you must ensure the sender, receiver, and the emotions themselves are safe. If the chain is broken, the loop fails. The loop represents the ongoing cycle of emotions that bind people and the forest. By venturing through the woods and overcoming the angry lost souls, you reconnect those who have gone astray and awaken the forest from its long, cold slumber.

Great Execution! Really hooked me in. I liked the art, and I think you did a great job of introducing the mechanics in a way that I failed at first, but it wasn't too punishing. I really felt their was great balance on that in general, I never felt that "Ugh, I have to the whole thing again?" when I failed.
The combination of timing with the puzzle gives it just the edge it needs to be challenging too (and I admittedly failed to complete the last level).
One thing I would add is that the white text on the moving light-colored background was a little hard to read and either making the background static or putting a black outline on the text would go a long way for legibility.
Thank you so much for trying the game. It really made my day to hear that you found it balanced, especially since I’ve been struggling a lot with balancing. Regarding the white font, I totally agree with you. I know the dim transparent panel is not enough to make the text stand out. I actually have a lot to say about that, but I was so stressed and it was getting really late, so I ended up rushing most of the story, tutorial, and tips elements. Thank you again for your kind comment and feedback.
nice interpretation of the concept great game
Thank you for trying the game and for the kind comment.
Great one. I really enjoy playing this and it gave a super comforting vibe. Easy to understanding tutorial super fun and just really good overall!
Thank you for the kind comment. I’m glad you enjoyed the game.
Finally, the first puzzle game I have encountered in this jam! Love the music. Cute story. The art and animations are excellent. I especially like the win animation. I wish that the font was more coherent with the rest of the art though. Anyway, I really liked the puzzles and the mechanics that were slowly added. You definitely deserve more reviews. Superb job!
Thank you for playing the game. I’m really glad you enjoyed it. As for the font, I totally agree with you. My go‑to is a pixelated font. As for the winning animation, it was my favorite too. I played with masks a lot in this project. If I were to give it another title, it would be the game of masks lol. As for the mechanics, I had more elements planned for the game progression, like when transferring the emotions you could reverse the direction, and the links that connect the elves could turn into an evil link after passing the emotions so you can’t pass through them again. However, I felt both ideas were more of a gimmick than an enjoyable element, so I scrapped them. Again, thank you for trying the game.
a pretty cool puzzle! the background is a bit distracting but the art is great!
Thanks for trying the game. I’m glad you find it cool. Regarding the moving background, it’s a trick I use when I don’t have enough art pieces to make the game feel less empty, but I agree with you it could distract the player a bit. Maybe I should tone it down to move a bit slower. Thank you for the feedback.
I really enjoyed the game. The artstyle was also very pretty.
Thank you for playing the game. I’m glad you like the art style. I’m working on my art skills, so this is a milestone for me.
Cool!
