What a delightful little game! I'll echo what another comment said of some slight variety would be great, even if it was just a phrase bank that has no tangible effect on the outcome. I lol'ed when "Work on Game Jam" came up -- I'm sure that is personal, given who you dedicated it to, and hope you didn't wake up face-first in too many bowls of cat food during this jam.

Also, I think it's been noted that the husband's happiness doesn't decrease, but I like that metaphor of just helping out bringing him happiness, even if it's cleaning cat vomit :)

I'm so glad you liked it!

We have a tiny bit of coyote time (3 frames), but definitely seems like we could do with a little bit more forgiveness! To your point, the goal was puzzle first, the platforming is just the constraint. I'm really glad you appreciate that choice!

Don't you hate it when people suggest something you thought of but decided against implementing? I had the exact thought on a grid-snapping system but opted against it for time reasons. Definitely good to know it would be appreciated!

Thanks so much for playing, and I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Great Execution! Really hooked me in. I liked the art, and I think you did a great job of introducing the mechanics in a way that I failed at first, but it wasn't too punishing. I really felt their was great balance on that in general, I never felt that "Ugh, I have to the whole thing again?" when I failed.
The combination of timing with the puzzle gives it just the edge it needs to be challenging too (and I admittedly failed to complete the last level).

One thing I would add is that the white text on the moving light-colored background was a little hard to read and either making the background static or putting a black outline on the text would go a long way for legibility.

Wow, I ran over to my wife to show her your comment :)

Thanks so much! I'm glad you liked it!

I had some of the same feelings about the controls, I know they could be finnicky at times (can you believe they were worse at one point?), but of course game jam problems lol That's probably one of the first things we'll look if/when we try to expand on this.

Thanks again :)

I had that exact idea on the color-only reset! Ahh, Game Jam pressures...
I'm so glad to see you liked it though, thanks for checking it out!

It's actually really funny you say too easy, because I have gotten multiple comments that it's really hard
Puzzle balance is unforgiving lmao

Really clever use of the theme! Basically made the fun part of spore in 4 days, good job! lol Really nice art, great execution. Good job!

The art is amazing! I feel like some sort of tutorial level that helps you understand the game loop would be helpful, I flailed around for a little bit at the beginning unsure what to do. I also feel like a description of everything in the store would be nice. Overall though, I was compelled to explore with my little robot, great job!

ahh, missed the right click to delete, might be good to list that in the description, didn't notice that when I was playing

Really like the artwork and music, and the puzzle concept is fun. Really wish there was an undo button or the ability to delete mislaid pieces of track though, it can be really punishing otherwise. Also love the thumbnail, no notes :)

Really clever use of the theme! I think you've addressed most of the bugs I also ran into.  It was a little tricky trying to figure out the exact way to put the loops together, I think if you were to make more levels, I would put a few more easy ones to help the player get used to how the different pieces interact with the character.
Great execution of your idea nonetheless!

Really like the artwork, definitely tricky on trackpad (though you do state that, so that's on me) but it's definitely one of the better ones of the "loop the enemy" genre

I love the idea, and really cool use of the theme! Some of the puzzles were a little hard, but once I got the hang of looking around the loop spatially, it clicked and it was really fun. Great Job! I love the little guy and the audio and vibe is awesome

Great art! I liked the challenge of the puzzles, though I admittedly got stuck on level 6, I think I "figured it out" but not actually how to accomplish it. Overall really cool and I love the vibe

Great game! I had a really fun time playing, great job!

I love the art! Very cute game and really built well on what is effectively just musical chairs lol
I think it would be interesting to add more "maps" with obstacles or something like that. Great submission all around though!

Neat idea, I think if the roots grew faster and there was a quick way to restart when stuck, it would have great potential

Super fun and silly, great game for a jam. Immediately felt like I had to protect my piggy :)

Glad you liked it! Yeah, if I continue it into the future, first thing I'll do is tweak movement and placement, I was worried if I touched speed too late in the game all my puzzles would fall apart lol

Got to the end! Was really tough at parts, but overall great fun! The only thing I really wish was there was a reset button. Especially on the level that had the platform going across the top, I could tell when I had failed, but had to wait around 10 seconds to die. Really solid entry though, captivated me until the end

Absolutely beautiful game! Would have appreciated more feedback for if I was doing well or not, but feels like it could be used for like guided meditation or something. Great Job!

I like the concept and it's a fun arcade shooter, I'll echo another comment that said having it hit on rewind would be a really neat idea to make it a bit more more fun and bit more puzzle-like.

Great idea and great execution!

Really fun! I like the speedrunning aspect, as I caught on to some of the skips I could do with well placed throws. Really wish there were checkpoints as you traverse the level though, really sucked to die really high up.
Overall great game, super addicting, cute kitty

I'll mostly echo what others have said, feels like it took a lot of clicking around and trying to figure out what to do.

But WOW is it pretty! Art and music is top notch

No, but I think maybe you're released? I just got yours

Ahhh, that's it. I temporarily accessed on a VPN at one point because I had it on for other reasons. Yeah, silly reason to auto-block the account instead of just asking for extra authentication, but at least now I know what likely happened

same here :(

Fun to rope the mobs and swing them across the stage. Neat concept and great execution. Art style is fun too!

Really fun idle game. Loved seeing my car get up to ludicrous speed and be everywhere on the track all at once. Great game!

I really like the concept of having to find out the controls by getting to the posts. Really great idea and great execution!

Really great execution! I wish the first boss battle was a little simpler, I looped a few times and still wasn't powerful enough and things got a bit repetitive/slow, especially since I lost a character after a boss loss

Did really like the theme though!

Ahh, yeah, I tried to place the spawn point to minimize that in lieu of making a real fix for it #justgamejamproblems

Thanks for playing though!

Weird bug with the reset, reset should be fairly quick, but the cooldown is frame-based, so maybe that had something to do with it.
Either way, thank you for playing! I'm glad you liked it

Great Art! Puzzles are super fun and everything is really impressive for the jam.
Takes a little to figure out, but once you get it, it's great!

Really addicting, just the right amount of challenge. High score was 8 for me, pretty tough to get there!

Love the idea, great execution, wonderfully manic!

Neat prototype, would love to see it built up. Great styling! I can definitely see how the game loop could become very satisfying!

Great job no matter what!

Thanks for playing! I'm so glad you liked it!

Using the thoughts you've gathered is a neat concept!
