Love the story-driven auto-battler angle of the project, definitely an idea that has legs.  The art, voice work, and overall vibe are killer!  The amount of love and craft that went into this is unreal.  Great job!!

This game perfectly fits the degenerate community and its streamer. Really fun, charming and a great story to boot. Great voice work! Also great music. Fantastic job everyone!

"Check this one out!"

Love the quirky designs and vibe! Plus the animations and art are wonderful! The battle system is really interesting and fun and the story and writing is super charming. The voice acting is great and really added to my enjoyment of the story!

I thoroughly enjoyed spamming my spin emotes in chat when I first saw Kyle play this game! Now I've had a go myself, the chaotic nature of the battles is really fun; it reminds me of the feeling of playing the Pocket Car Racer minigames in the Yakuza series. The artwork and voice acting are absolutely stellar, and the "overworld" music gave me kinda Chrono Trigger vibes. Great final act, holy moly that image of Boyhowdy will stick with me! Really enjoyed my time with this one!

A very interesting game. Seeing as there is limit to how much you control the outcome of a match the ability to affect either game type or who you want to win gives the game a real sense of complexity. The production value is also obviously top notch with the amount of voice acting present really bringing the game world to life.

thanks <3  im super proud of all our voice actors.  Didn't know if we would be able to make it happen, but they all did great

BoyHowdy, I love picking up trash! I wish i could pick up all 1million pieces.

Developer(+1)

you actually theoretically could.  all that would happen is the rope in the dsd room would be open.  nothing else though

As a fellow trash Goblin myself, I felt seen playing this. Wonderful job by the team! Incredible character designs and voice acting!

Lovely all around!

Really clever idea to let the player bet on winning or losing. It really changes the way you strategize in an interesting way. Great character designs and art as well. You really nailed the 90s Nickelodeon look with the monsters.

Very chaotic, very funny. I definitely enjoyed figuring out the game mechanics along the way, which ensued in a lot of hilarious mishaps when entering battles. And I really liked the core message at the very end. Great art, writing, and voice acting! A satisfying play overall~

A strong follow-up to last year's effort! I really liked the story, the characters, and their art and voices. The game part was a little chaotic at first but I think I got the gist of it pretty quickly. There's one part about this game that had me go "hey? how? why? you can't..." the whole time, but then I remembered one of the awards.

Developer

wait?  what part?  we didnt make any direct attempts to have an elephant in the room, so im very curious what that part was

Gretchen's resemblance to Ren from Ren and Stimpy.

definitely not an intentional thing, but you arent the first person to say it.  i guess if you draw enough simple shape rocko/ahh real monsters/cow and chicken/garage pail kids, you are bound to end up with someone some people can see that way.  but i can assure you it both wasnt intentional and no on the team or testing even noticed :'(

Submitted (1 edit) (+1)

I can definitely see how that happens. Btw it doesn't affect my view or score of the game. I just though it is both close enough but also different enough that it had to be intentional, while still being legally distinct. I appreciate the clarification!

Developer

oh yeah, no worries. i was just surprised by your first comment.  everyone kept having silly elephant ideas and i kept saying no because i thought they all just made the game worse and more confusing (in an already kinda confusing game) and i would prefer just the best game we can make than go for the awards specific pander.
