Awesome setting. I'm realizing the "fantasy" of a game needs some marketable appeal, even for a game jam. I'd say your cover art and title clearly communicates: horror set in some collapsed mine.
Don't you just hate it when you get lost in the endless tunnels of your own strip mine.
The retro style pixelation affects (and similar) look fantastic as far as homages go, but do get a bit tiresome after a while. The models are great, and the level design is too. If I stand still at like any point in the game, it honestly looks like some retro recolored photo of a realife mine.
I'm happy you added sprinting, but the tunnels were still quite long. I mentioned the level design, but honestly, the outside area was so detailed.
The sprinting SFX were a bit repetitive, but the general ambience and such sounded quite nice. Anyway, I'm glad my pockets were big enough to fit all those people.
Cool submission.
Delightfully atmospheric! I found myself drawing maps to make sure I could keep track of where I'd been. That said, I found the timer mechanic poorly indicated - I thought it was just a low-light effect at first, and it got downright near impossible to play near the end. Is there any way to recover that and keep going? Because I don't see a way to find both people in this maze without just playing again and again.
Your game is incredibly atmospheric, well done. Couple of minor things: the camera kept gradually listing to one side, and sprinting didn't work for me, for some reason. Other than that, loved it!
Pretty good game. I couldn't see jack with the pixelated screen and managed to find one guy. I really like the atmosphere and style and the fact that it runs smoothly on browser with all the cool effects and geometry on screen.
Scary cause of real counterpart, nice visuals, but my eyes lil hearted of it. Really liked the atmosphere and visuals, especially liked bhop feature.
Really loved the atmosphere of the game, slowly navigating the mines felt really oppressive. Wish there was some kind of gameplay indicator of if you're on the right track to find a lost person. Really cool idea overall!
really cool game felt smooth to play! didn't realize the lighting changing was related to time remaining. Otherwise really cool game!
Wow the atmosphere was crushing, thoes sounds are amazing.
The game felt way too noisy, I really like the art direction but still it felt soooo noisy at times, my eyes started to geniunely hurt when the (oxygen?) started to run out and everything started turning red, which wasn't even told to the player that could happen?
Also when I found the kid he scared the shit out of me lol.
The story being based on a real event is also really cool, I actually got interested in the story and ended up going down the worst industrial accidends rabbithole, gnarly stuff.
Great game, nailed the ambiance.
Nice to see games from France stories. Found the first (kid) but not the second one. I like the fact that you can't see in mines (oxygen). Not a real enjoyment though. Feels like there is more to come with all those doors.
I love true story inspired stuff...and visually, it's well made! Really creepy, great job! Unfortunately I wasn't able to save anyone, only to die haha....
For a game made in a week this is amazing, I was genuinely freaked out playing your game!
I love the atmosphere that you've created with the fog and grainy filter. If you plan on continuing development you should add a creature that dwells in the mines
Great job on the environment and atmosphere, i was pretty spooked out. Loved the dithering effect getting more intense overtime. nice idea. Good job!
Looks really good, and (even more impressive) runs smoothly in the browser. Appropriately claustrophobic atmosphere. The visual effect of degrading the player character's vision over time is really well-done--it was so subtle that at first I thought I was imagining it.
I did find myself wishing for more to do other than navigate the long (long) tunnels. Use an item, interact with a situation, etc.
Great aesthetic and atmosphere! I hoped that there would be more gameplay because it shows so much potential.
