I don’t know why your entry was disqualified… The game is pretty tense, had a few jump scare and the controls were pretty responsive. Good game!

Developer

I don't know why I was disqualified too. This was my first time participating in Jam, and I'm very frustrated.

Game looks very well, feels super smooth, assets and lighting build great atmospehere, good job! :)

Thanks, I used a few tricks. Too many items would waste resources, but too few would make the space look empty. So I used spaced-out lights to limit the player's field of vision, creating a scary atmosphere while saving a lot of resources.

That was a terrifying game. The cutscenes really got to me :( Great job!

Developer

Thanks, I get my jump scare inspiration from some ghost horror movies and games and films like Outlast and Silent Hill.

Beautiful horror.

I just have one question: what percentage of this game was made during a jam?

Developer(+1)

Hi, about your question, to be honest, the last 50% was completed during the event. Before that, I only had a game idea similar to "Outlast" and didn't know about jam. I mostly used Synty's model packs for scene building and lighting layout. The final demo was completed within jam.

Thanks for the answer. In the future, if you participate in a jam, it's better to write on the game page (and/or in the game itself) a list of third-party assets used and the fact that you used your own. Otherwise, people will treat your game with great suspicion.

Developer

Got it, thanks!
