Creative Vision / Rationale / How Did You Incorporate the Theme
In Ducks in a Row, you play as the king of the waterways - an alligator! As an apex predator, little is a threat to you here - unlike the fragile ducklings who have recently shown up in your territory. It is up to you to choose if you will use your power to help or to harm the habitat around you.

Very cute game!! The environment and creatures are so pretty!!! I enjoyed the gameplay as well. I liked that u had to think about going through obstacles in a way that doesnt hurt the ducklings hehe

Such a cute game, the art is awesome and super clean! I like how the surrounding environment goes through different seasons/colours. Chomping logs is very satisfying. It's a little odd that you can't swim under some things like lily pads. I'm glad there's an option to change the control scheme. Excellent work!

heya Chris here:

I had a lovely experience. It felt like Untitled Goose Game with less troll and more whole(some). Everything--level design, visual presentation & style, sound & music, UI / UX, and of course the programming that holds everything together--felt polished and cared for. It was very, very hard for me to not exercise my primal, biting behaviors on the little duckies!

If you guys ever wanted to take this further, would you consider reserving the green shade just for our main character? My eyes got a bit confused (not much, just a little) whenever the spiky vines and balls showed up. In addition, between the rocks and the logs, our character would have a much easier time diving under the logs--most of the rocks seem big enough to have a foundation that connects with the riverbed.

Overall, I really loved every minute of playing - thank you guys

Thank you! I really appreciate the thoughtful feedback. That's an excellent point in regards to the design language of green.... and I think you're probably right about those rocks :)

I accidentally ate the first duckie, felt soo baddd instantly :”)

I like this low poly minimal visual style. The characters are very cute and the whole game is very fun. I’d play a mobile version of this for hours lol or maybe even an apple watch version of it sounds intriguing.

This was so cute and enjoyable! the chomping sound made me smile :') it was therapeutic to play and I love the idea of this predator potentially gaining a bit of an emotional attachment to these cute ducklings. Love this one!

I love the art for this game and the idea is super cute! This is my favorite game I've played so far but I was struggling a bit with the movement because of the isometric perspective but still very fun. I accidentally ate the first duck I found...and then later on I got all my ducks killed on accident with the spikes :'(

Such a fun game!!

Try out traditional control mode! :)
