Hey! I'm not sure if you already have a watercolor artist or not but I'd be interested in that position! I love doing nature themed artwork so anything with "nature" is always exciting to me. I would be able to work on the pieces pretty much every night as long as I know the scope and what I should be creating (roughly). Let me know if you're interest :)

In my portfolio, I don't think I have any watercolor pieces except maybe one or two as I specialize in charcoal and chalk pastels mostly but you can definitely see lots of examples of nature lol. Here is my portfolio: https://www.bryannathestinkyfrog.com/

Hello! Could I get the GDD please? I'm interested in the writing and artist positions :)

Thank you for playing!! I left in the spam jumping because I had to increase gravity on certain levels to keep the Muskooms from getting stuck and not falling down to the next platform fast enough. If I continue the game after this jam, I would fix that problem.

At first, I couldn't figure out why some Muskooms were being globally affected while others weren't then I remembered I literally made a script to keep them from being affected because it would cause issues with the drop down mechanics lol, I goofed and forgot to fix it before the jam ended.

Thank you for the art compliments! And I really liked my wavy vines so I'm glad someone else enjoyed them too!!

Thank you so much for playing! Im glad you liked all the artwork, I only wish I had more time to polish both the art and the gameplay (gameplay definitely needs polishing lol).

You said you were getting stuck in the first level? Or the 4th level (which i think is the first one where you dont have the scrolls giving instructions). I know one of thr later levels, can't remember the exact one, there is a problem with the down movement just not working sometimes but idk why it does that because it doesn't happen every time so maybe its happening in other levels and I just havent seen it yet in the other levels.

I got stuck on the 5 Skulls too after he gave me some teeth and had to restart the game but OMG the visuals!! I love the artwork in this game and the dialogue is fun; all of the characters feel so different and unique. Great job!!

This game is very unique. You were able to create such a nice story and the mechanic of writing words to prevent the sun from melting the ice was nice. I wasn't sure how to get a score higher than 6 though when I thought I wrote at least one good poem.

In the later levels, the text goes away too fast to read it properly before being told to write another poem. Also, I see that you said the theme was "buying time" and this game 1000% embodies that however, for thatGameCompany x COREBLAZER jam, the theme was generosity and I could almost see that theme working if the sun gave back  some of the heat to keep the ice from melting as fast or something.

Still,  a super cute game and fun mechanic!

Loved the artwork for the game. Trying to read all the instructions while the timer was clearly going down was a little nerve wracking but it definitely gave off Dumb Ways to Die vibes which made sense. I loved that it was cultural but also a fun game. Sometimes it was hard to figure out how to interact properly with things; I ended up shoving the kid off the seat so the pregnant lady could sit lol

I liked the movement in this game, it was easy to control and I LOVED the music for it. I liked that you didn't just kill the mushroom but instead get to purify them and collect them, it was a cute idea. I ended up getting stuck where I couldn't climb out of an area so I didn't get to 100% finish it but what I played was very nice.

Thou created quite a clever game! I loved the puzzle mechanics and that you created it using chess so it was easier to understand faster. It was a little hard to tell which pieces were what unless you hovered over them but maybe that was just because I don't play chess often. I would play the heck out of this game on my phone so if you ever make it a phone version, I'll be ready to play and conquer all the levels!

I LOVE that the start screen is a puzzle but it did take me a minute to figure it out. I was also using WASD at first and not the arrow keys so I couldn't make anything move at first. Cute game!

This is such a cute game, I think it would be a super fun phone or cozy game to play. The writing was also fun, I enjoyed it a lot. Sometimes I had some problems getting my following to eat when they were hungry so having a way to send them to eat food or highlighting them when you give them food would help. I kept trying to feed them but the food would just fall to the ground most of the time.

Even with that little setback, this game is very cute! I'd love to see updates to it after the jam :)

This game was very easy to understand right off the bat and for a game jam submission especially, that is super important. It did not take me long to understand the game, the UI, and how it works. With that being said, the game takes quite a long time for anything to really happen and I never felt any danger in having either side get too powerful. If anything, I thought both sides were going down quite a bit in power and I never had to worry about it.

If you were to work on it in the future, having visuals to show side A or B getting too strong and possibly even taking your resources or something could really play with the idea of how and when to help each side while maintaining proper balance.

Thank you so much for playing and giving me all this feedback!! I would love to work with others but sometimes things happen and I get busy and have to drop out of a jam. Im glad you liked my puzzles because I was really worried they might have been too easy/simple.

Thank you for playing! Im glad you enjoyed the puzzles. And my cousin calls me muskoomaha, I call her muskoomahee. We've also given names to other family members but I can't remember them. 😂

Thank you for playing!! It didnt start out as a physics game but during the development time, kinda became one on accident 😅

And, there is actually a way to tell which direction the muskooms will let you go but I didnt have time to make it as clear as I would have liked. If you can see their hair/stem, it points the directions they go, but, its hard to see

I liked that there were so many instruments to buy, the xylo was my favorite.

Fun game, the red and green were messing with my eyes the whole time though lol.

I noticed that the final day of the jam but wasn't able to fix it. I had to alter some of the code in other parts to even make sure the puzzles would work too, definitely created a setback.

Thank you so much for playing!!!

This game feels so complete, I would have never guessed it was a game jam submission. The voice acting in the beginning, the stories, the smooth movement, all the amazing sound design, it all feels so polished.

If I had any tips, it would be to make sure the player solves the first light puzzle at the beginning because I turned it on and that was all I needed to do. I then found all the other memories on the river and was confused as to how to light anything or how to finish the game. Then I went back and realized I never finished interacting with the first light and had to go back through and light everything. But other than that, this game is fantastic, truly incredible, amazing job!!

Thank you for playing! I'm glad you liked the curtains, I thought they added a little something special to the game and made each level a bit more cohesive with one another. I'm also happy you beat the game and overcame the funky physics and beat all the puzzles; it's a bit hard to gauge the difficulty of a puzzle when you design it so I wasn't sure if they were too easy or too hard.

Thank you so much for this feedback!! That level is passed by pressing E to lower the Muskoom down the vine to the floor then just pressing down and pushing him to the other side with the goal. I'm glad you said the theme was "on point" because I ended up adding getting the muskooms to the goal like  a day before it was due because before that, the game didn't feel 'generous' enough to me.

I wanted to get music added so bad but then just ran out of time and hoped that having at least some sound effects would help. I'm glad the sound effects I made for them hitting into each other was funny, it made me giggle when I implemented it for the first time so I'm happy someone else found it as fun as I did. And yeah, the text was squished  cause I did it all in Krita then imported it instead of just adding text to the scroll image like I should have lol.

Thank you so much again for playing and giving me all this feedback!!

I think the generous part of it comes from the fact that those of us in the beginning unlock the final ending for the players who follow. We generously give them our eternal pray statue bodies so they can move on. At least, that's my interpretation.

#13 Here, I was so close to holding hands in eternal prayer with someone lol  I'm in the light reaching out. This game was so cool. I loved these weird creatures and I would totally buy a stuffed animal of these things, they're so strange but so cool! Great game, I'm excited to see what happens after we unlock it for the other players.

I loved Ghostie and Kiddie! Great job!

The concept is cool but I feel like the environment was just too large for what there was to do in the game. I think the environment could have been much smaller and would have still given the player the same experience except way less walking with nothing else to do. Fun concept though so if you filled out the world a bit, it would be cool to come back to.

This was a fun story, I loved the artwork on every level! Great job!

Love the main character! Wish there was a slider for the sound or that the jump SFX would change a bit, I kept dying to the spikes I couldn't see so I kept restarting the same part and had to keep hearing the jump SFX

This was a fun game! Loved all the characters and going around planting random sea flowers was fun. The dialogue was quite fintastic as well.

I LOVED this game!!! I would play a full version of this in a heartbeat, the story, the puzzle aspect, everything was incredible! I do wish that there was  a moveable camera or the jumping between platforms was easier. If y'all continue to work on the game, I would suggest putting at least a shadow under the player so jumping would be easier. Great job! Incredible game!!

Also, I loved the two endings and how one ending keeps everything black but the good ending lets you see the world you helped to rebuild while you see the credits.

I liked the idea of this game and maybe with a bit more time, it could be a fun game. I liked that it was a rhythm game, I don't play those often enough but they're always fun. I think if the player could not play the notes, maybe they could get more light but then they'd miss the note. Perhaps a score system could help too, see how long you could play without losing your light while also getting the notes. This game has a lot of potential!

I really enjoyed the nicknames I was being called as the toddler. I'm not sure if they have any cultural meanings or if they were just personal, fun nicknames for the game. This was a cute game. Loved putting continuous drops of honey into my tea.

I loved this game!!! I love that the art was done with crayons, I loved using crayons in my figure drawing classes and it is always cool to see another game done with traditional artwork not just digital assets. Weird question, how did you get the white outline around the characters and other objects??

I think the timer goes by a bit too fast sometimes making it hard to talk to more than just one person. Especially when they have a lot to say about plays...I think pausing the timer or allowing players to speed up the typing of the dialogue would help to let players speak with more characters.

I like the concept of the game but I think having some more puzzle-like elements could have improved it with matching the buttons. Like, the button that matched the missing eye of the stuffed animal was a nice clue but the other two buttons were just random drag and drops. Perhaps putting a snowflake on the snowman button could help or something similar to let the player figure out which button goes where instead of random guessing.

Thank you for playing! If I had more time, I would love to fix the physics system but programming is my most difficult game dev skill and I had to sacrifice some stuff for the jam just to get it finished. Some levels work with the wonky physics a lot better than others.

This game is amazing, the art style, the colors, the simple mechanics. I love that we can see who helped with the gardens. It was a bit hard to enter a garden as a new player though because everything was mostly grown and there were very few tiles left to interact with today. I think the garden I played was on it's last day so maybe I'll get a chance to help with a new garden tomorrow.

Would love feedback!! https://bryannawalker.itch.io/the-generous-muskoom-a-short-play

Simple game but a lot of fun. I would totally play this all day if it were a phone game or something. I think with some tweaks like giving the queen a health bar and increasing the speed of which we got soldiers would increase the enjoyment of the game a lot. But even without those things, I played this game for like 30 minutes.

Ok, I played the game after knowing it was space. The button looked quite clickable which is why I thought click lol. Cute game, I liked the idea of helping the forest come back to life but my plants kept disappearing even though I watered them. I also wish the other forest creatures would say stuff like "I loved the sunflowers here" and then if you planted a bunch of sunflowers near them, they would be happy or something. I know it was just a jam but if you kept working on it, its an idea.

I love the art for this game and the idea is super cute! This is my favorite game I've played so far but I was struggling a bit with the movement because of the isometric perspective but still very fun. I accidentally ate the first duck I found...and then later on I got all my ducks killed on accident with the spikes :'(

Such a fun game!!

This game was so polished for the time, holy cow! I noticed a funny bug where if you leave a house and start going left, sometimes the player won't turn to face that way. But wow, this game had a lot in it for such a short time limit, I'm so impressed with it. Great job!!
