I'm not sure what the mashup is, it seems to be just Snake with added story and cutscenes. Also the snake is supposed to slowly speed up as well as get larger as you get the item, in Snake.
I had hoped to be able to do a "Choose your own adventure" at the end, but I simply ran out of time. I wasn't trying to do a faithful recreation of the original Snake, it was just the basis for what I was creating.
