I'm taking on skydance/paremont..for fun. Oh yeah! lol that should be interesting. Everyone here creates their own art and IP, but me!
I just think its funny, that's all.
If bigfoot grabs me and drags me into the woods, you'll know why..copyright infringement.

Is it running in an emulator, or is it a PC demo? I don't get it. You didn't make it. lol I'm fine with it, I just don't see the purpose of porting it. Am i missing something important?

Its completely dry right now. I'm not really adding anything to it, by making it "HD" basically. It looks nice, but I wish i had a timer system, instead of having to push the button 10,000 times

True, i should explain myself. I'm just barely learning html and that kind of thing, and I'm tripping over my own feet  trying to do everything with laymans understanding.I'm looking for help with code, but I keep crawling forward, and i forger the exact issue i was having. Its all over my head really, its amazing I've gotten this far. I'm just an artist of sorts, with a 20 year old version of photoshop.

(1 edit)

There  MUST be someone here that helps others with their projects. Its literally impossible that people make games, yet have no way of that skill to be shared.  Your ENTIRE game is $5! Take $50, and help me with mine, right? ...Right?

I can;t edit html or the associated other codes needed to do what i do, so far its been me slowly learning and help. The project evolved faster that my skill level, and just now, i see a few bugs. The entire point of this topic is, are there people here that do assignments like html coding? i see asset packs for sale, but i want to rent the artist instead.

I'm trying to create a visual novel thing, based on a star trek episode, and I'm wondering why? I mean is there an audience for this? It has almost no game elements. It looks really nice, but I forgot who this is for. It would have been a big hit, 20 years ago. lol

I completely redesigned the game, with new code and art. In general the progress went backwards, but i'm just about caught up to the amount of game i had before, with the old system, but its i, mudd thats done, the 3ed level.

the recent skydance mergers spook me, as they obviously have plans for ST.  I'm going where no game has gone before, i'm making a sim Enterprise. You never have to go home again! lol
Welcome aboard.

I have no idea where the line between fan fiction ends, and obvious copyright infringement. Thee are a few star trek themed games here, but none as bold as "my" projects that rely heavily on art from well known IP's. Am i completely wrong? If there a logical point, then a line? Can I just go forever? What will happen to a project that goes too far?

Never heard of it, bit I have now.  I'll check it out. I'm attempting to vibe code, and its going as well as one would expect. It's a a monkeys paw.

Um..It isn't one. lol Its from a resource pack of art from a failed project. Not much to download..but if you'd like to see it

nice

Ever wonder why the enterprise has purple lights in some rooms, or where they go to the bathroom? What does those switches do? Where does that turbolift go?  I have 1 year to answer those questions and more. But, i'm just an artist, and I need someone to do the html files running the game. If you like star trek, and have some spare time and want to be the co creator of this project, hop onboard at warp speed

I like the look, and the detail. A lot of work was put into this. It's %97 a real commercial product.

I'm ashamed to say, I'm not grasping html of the associated codes that make it function. The heart of what i'm trying to do is a mystery to me. I'm an artist and I'm trying to do the whole job myself. Honestly, I'm not even a super ST fan,  it just seemed like a god idea at the time, to explain how ST works, and what all those buttons do. A cadet training at odd hours, and meeting the c-list crew. It just sounded interesting. Whats that weird dome thing on the ceiling of the bridge? Lets find out together. Lets answer al those questions, like where Chekov was.

You ever say to yourself, HEY! I can do that. It's not TOO hard, is it? So, you try it..
And yes, it was hard to do. Lets take editing HTML as an example. Not to hard at first. Some basic statements and structure, that are pretty obvious. Then it gets harder. If I had a human being teaching me, but no, I've got Claudius helping me. Its going as well as you would expect. Any human out there that cares to contribute to one of my projects?  The next one coming in the not to distant future is a MST3K star wars kind of thing. We'll see how THAT goes...

Crow: ..In a galaxy, far, far away...That we just so happen to have a film crew in...

Tom: What an amazing coincidence!

Joel: Shhhh... I paid $125 for a ticket from a scalper to see this.

Crow: ...It's a FREE show, Joel. Who was that scalper? He clearly ripped you off.

Tom: (whistling) 122...123...124...125. 125 bucks, yep, it's all there. what a sucker!

Crow: What is that girl doing with that robot? Is this some kind of robot-fetish flick? I hope so.

Tom: Looks like she's giving it a full service lubrication.

Crow: Sign me up!

I like it

ST unlimited
I have a collection of art that didn't make it into my other project, so I published it as a seprate resource pack. It may me something, one day, but now it's just sitting there, in like behind 2 other projects. May never get done. Help yourself to it.

It's a basic golf game, probably in html, but with a Caddyshack theme, and music from the movie. Play in the tournament as one of 6 players, and win to unlock more. Golf, but with a humurious twist, and the likeness of the actors. Just as a simple fan project, not a commercial product. Ideas?

yeah, that sounds like what i'm doing, except I fired AI. It has a 900IQ, but it's an a$$hole

...lol Ok...

I have the best game that ever was, and I have to do my own promoting. It doesn't do it itself. Having said that, my views got to 650 and froze. Somebody want to help me, for an exchange, or a small fee? I need an html code guy. Good luck, rat guy, but you need to do  ALL the advertiseing work

It's the same story you've heard, someone just starting and wondering who cars and where it's going. Does any of this really matter? Isn't this really my ego, telling my brain a lie? Can I really do this, for real? Is this just a dream? AM I an imposter? lol

Maybe I am. Maybe, there is no game here, and I'm imagining it. The only thing I'm creating, is a delusion. Nobody believes in this but me, and I'm not so sure. Even if it was real, does the world care? It's an identity struggle both with my art and myself. Can I really lift this?
Lets see. I really, really need help, but i need something else even more. To finish this, by myself, to show that i can.
I said I'd be back. I am.

I can't remember if my other posts here are about the first game
https://drtomorrow2025.itch.io/star-trek-the-trouble-with-tribbles-trivia

or the new one,

https://drtomorrow2025.itch.io/star-trek-the-new-adventures

But the idea is the same, it's the classic Star Trek crew. It's still in early development, and is just bare bones now, but it'll be more interactive. More of a game.

I've got 2 games I'm working on, both base on the classic star trek.

Oh boy! Exactly what everyone is playing in2025, a text adventure gamehttps://drtomorrow2025.itch.io/star-trek-the-trouble-with-tribbles-trivia
