Made it to the top! Very very cool idea for a game, I would love to see an expanded version with more mechanics. This could make a really neat roguelike or dungeon-crawler. The attack, magic, and block system was really cool and different, but the different powers on the dice were super neat, it gave depth to which die I'd use in each slot rather than just always use the biggest number. An upgrade system for the dice could be really neat with this game, being able to upgrade the number of sides, but also enchant them with different types (witchy, poison, sharp, etc.). I hope you keep working on this, definitely my favorite game this jam.

I love alchemy games and combination mechanics, so this was perfect for me. I really like the idea of using the surroundings for spell casting rather than a mana system or something, and the procedural generation worked really well with the concept. Super cool.

What a great submission, reminds me of old phone games in the best way. I really enjoyed my time with this one way to go!

I had a good time with this one, trying to balance the boxes in the cart was a nice challenge. How quickly the cart could turn meant I never hit an obstacle, lowering the turn speed could definitely ramp up the challenge. Still had a good frantic time!

Good title, the wizard was asking for it. Fun take on tower defense, the feeding system was a nice twist to the formula!

I like this, it's silly and the platforming feels good even with the simulated physics, which is impressive. With the cats being able to perfectly match my movement though I would get them stuck on my head and be unable to jump, trapping me in some areas. Very nice game!

I haven't seen a survivors like this before, and there were a lot of ideas here that were exciting. I like the drag and drop system (I had a really hard time with mine, and yours is really clean), and I like that you can choose what runes you have equipped at the moment. Having a companion was a neat twist as well. As for suggestions:

  • It would be nice to have the game pause in the inventory screen like it does in the level up screen, so that the player has time to think over what they're equipping.
  • The character speed is so close to the enemy speed that the dash rune felt essential, a higher character speed might help there.
  • The bullet spell used health instead of mana, but that might have been deliberate.

The core idea is really solid and I'd be curious to see how you expand the idea going forward!

This is super charming. It has some of the last minute bugs you get in a jam, but it looks like they've been documented. The recipe book with the detailed descriptions was definitely my favorite part, nice worldbuilding!

Thanks, I appreciate it!

I love the concept it's very funny, and I love the cover art it's really great.

Yup just a concept for now. Thanks for playing!

This is a fun concept, I bet you could do a whole lot with this central mechanic! I'll have to play the updated version too.

Thanks, it's probably my favorite game mechanic but I don't see it often. Magicka (2011) did it best, but I'd love to see it in a dungeon crawler or a roguelike. Someday!

I jumped so high I flew out of the castle and spoke with a teal cube. Don't know if that was the win condition, but I feel like a winner. 10/10 quality game.

Thanks, means a lot! I have big plans for this game, even if it's not much of a game at the moment haha.

Nice one! I liked the music a lot, I was groovin' despite the goblin army on my heels.

Thank you! I'll put it in the discord if I finish it someday.

Way to execute on a clever idea! This is super good. I hope you keep doing jams!

That's a really good idea, I think I'll have a codex with a page for each element, but I should totally add a checklist so you can see what combinations you have or haven't tried, and maybe bookmark your favorites. I'll post the game in the discord someday when its finished. Thanks!

Your art is so good, I really enjoyed the experience!

What a neat game! A planet simulator is such a big idea for a jam, it's inspiring to see it pulled off. I'd love to see the finished game with all the systems implemented sometime.

This game is very relatable.

Also it is very fun, and I like it.

I absolutely love the central mechanic. You did a great job of designing the maze, I was always able to get my bearings with a little exploration, and every death generally felt like a major breakthrough. Excellent idea, I'd love to see this expanded upon.

This is a really neat idea, having parallel worlds makes for some really cool puzzle solving. Nice game!

I liked this a lot, the newspapers added tons of flavor, the missiles were interesting and fun to use. Love the references to pigeon guided missiles and the aurora borealis. Great game!

This is such a cool idea! The multiple tasks to juggle along with the visual hallucinations created such a tense atmosphere. Really really cool game, way to go.

Very cute game! I loved the character design and emphasis on story, it was really unique and charming! And awesome that you included thorough documentation! Very nice game.

Really beautiful spritework and ambience, and the opening cutscene was very professional. I liked the music a lot, it really enhanced the vibe. Looking forward to the devlog, it'll be neat to see how you put this together.

Link to the past was definitely an inspiration, one of my favorites. Thank you for playing!

Thank you!

Yeah I noticed the extra arrows, and while that might not be the best option it avoids desyncing the music which is super cool, that’s my biggest worry.

If this was a real sport I’d tune in to every match. Jokes aside, this was a really good time, the music was a bop. Did you have any trouble making a rhythm game in Godot? I want to make one of my own but I’m worried input delay might screw it up, any tips?

Very nice aesthetic and theming, the spritework is great. Including a gamespeed slider is a nice touch and feels very professional. Cool game!

Good message, doesn't mean I have to accept it! If I never press the accept death button I never lose! HAHAHAHA. :-(  This is really nice though I like it a lot.

Really good puzzle, this one was a challenge. Art was great as well.

This was a lot of fun, I loved the kooky characters and random familiar faces. I'm going to have to play this again to see where some of these characters are up to. Great game!

Really liked the spritework, the fireball and lightning spells looked great and felt great to cast. Good use of unintended consequences as well, caught me off guard a number of times. Cool game!

When the last minute panic sets in and you stop caring about writing good code and just write good enough code. Been there. The Game Jam Experience!

Boy oh boy I never expected to see a job simulator featuring gerrymandering, let alone have a great time playing a job simulator featuring gerrymandering! The worldbuilding was really great too, tons of charm! Great game, and a very cool puzzle!

I'm not sure I fully understood all the systems at play, but I destroyed a lot of hospitals and sometimes that's all you can do. Very cool strategy game and simulation, I bet the code is a wonder to look at. Cool game!
