I didn't notice that about the platforming, nice to know :o I only went for the souls that had higher reward haha, and yeah, don't take my opinion on difficulty, I'm a little strange when it comes to it and I guess it's because I used to play fangames of I wanna be the guy, so my difficulty "sensor" is broken xD (As example youtube.com/watch?v=WSwLQ2I51es )
And I'm bad at bullet hell, I can only pass the popular ones with the infinite live modes or easy modes, I don't put much effort into properly learning those games haha
I can't give you a proper feedback as I always do right now but I played the game, some quick notes:
Interesting story, I like how it was going, the sticky notes actually get spooky and got my attention :)
Would be nice to see the key objects more easily, going around the house it's good but I felt blind having to look at 1 small thing :(
I liked the song, didn't felt repetitive despite going around the house a lot

The art is cute and also like it, remind me of old games I used to watch

Puzzle games are always welcome, I like them and they are fun :)
The possessing stuff is creative and good to see an area antighost to make it a more difficult, there is a problem with the zone, where if you unpossess something, you get a few seconds of invincibility and you can touch and go across of this kind of zone, making level 10 very easy

Also I found that when you pile objects in level 9, there can be a bug where you can possess 2 objects at the same time. Outside of those 2 point, the game is ok, I didn’t find errors, I like that the portrait changes based on who you are controlling, the dark levels can be tricky but aren’t bad, but level 8 you can go around as a ghost and skipping the usage of lamps because you ghost have light and can learn the path. I like that windows display light and the art can be a little bit cute
I think 10 levels is a good amount for a jam and it was a small and nice experience, and congrats on finishing a game for the jam!

I could play most of the levels without any trouble, except level 4, for some reason each time I push the box, at some point the character falls under the wooden platform and it kills me due spikes under it or it softlock me because I can’t do much unless I reset the level :(
Outside of that, the gameplay went fine, the mechanics are simple and I would like to see a harder version of the puzzles just to push the depth that the game can have. The tutorial is nice and I like the game has more than english.
Visually I like it, my favorite is the skeleton and the music doesn’t play, I downloaded the game and still miss that part.

Yeah, I had to do all songs in like 2 hours in last day, last few weeks I started to look into music stuff and "analyze" the music I like to see how to make something xD
I used to do worse stuff and a few days before the last day I still struggle with how to mesh instruments until I put more attention to some songs and I could come up with something, still missing theory and more, in the middle part of the boss song, the idea gets "muddy" because I don't know how to define some progressions but yeah, I did the music and sfx too
The intro drawings were made in 10-15 min each, the scenes were made also last day, most of the time went into the battle mechanic with the art of that part
Very happy to see you loved the game, and yeah, I always try to make the games beatable due the lack of balance, usually before I post the game, I beat it 1 or 2 times to see if it’s beatable haha
I’ll take notes from this, the idea of a dungeon crawler sounds good

The progression of the game is nice, I always like when really basic skills are unlocked at the start of the game, like the jump in this case. I like the theme implementation in this game, also it’s a good metroidvania for this little time we had to make a game, polished or I didn’t find a bug or something like that, great secrets and a good way to introduce them with the 1st one, also good way to mark the hidden paths, I was happy when I see there are secret areas because I didn’t expect it in haha
My 1st playthrough I found 7 and it’s a nice choice you can keep exploring instead of making the player play from zero, but I wouldn’t mind that because this game has a great soundtrack, it kept me glued to the game with a smile, the song with the atmosphere of the visuals and the gameplay, everything feels nice together that felt a little sad when I finished the game heh
I think my favorite mechanic is the dash, I always like games when they have dash, also it’s funny to see the fungus throwing itself to one direction, my favorite secret room was the one where the musician is. I also liked bouncing from spikes, something that could be dangerous now it’s something useful

I don’t think I have much to say outside this, easily one of my favorites this jam, very fun, nice game ^^

For me it’s rare to find games like this in jams and I’m happy each time I find one. The visuals of the game are great and good music, never felt repetitive despite being short. I really like the dog portrait and how the game page is decorated
About the minigames, those are fun, the only nitpick I have is the dragging part in them, sometimes you pick an object but you end up picking the one behind it, outside that, all worked well. I would say also the fact you need to press space each time to shoot in the little console but since it’s an old console, makes sense you need to press all the time the shoot button instead of holding it, so I don’t mind that
About the story, I like it, I like there are dialogues outside minigames to give more depth to the telling. Despite being short, it’s good and I can see it being emotional, for me the last part after pressing the time skip button was the part that made me feel something haha. I don’t want to say much about this because of spoilers and those kinds of reasons but I liked the story :)

I read in the description that music isn’t a strong suit for you, but a free to use song would make the game more engaging or I felt that while I was running away from the village. About the platforming part, is ok, I just felt it was a bit too long because all the souls most of the time got spoiled, which still won a lot of money and only needed 2 rounds to get all the money but maybe a little shorter would be nice
The controls felt good, the floaty jump felt good because it helps to avoid all the bullets and because it feels you jump higher, more at the last part of the platforming where the double jump makes it a breeze
About the gameplay, it’s good and simple, I think the only complaint for me is that I feel the hat shouldn’t be part of the gnome's hurtbox, mostly because it makes the avoiding bullets a bit awkward. Outside of that, I didn’t feel it was difficult or something like that, maybe if the bullets were faster, maybe that would be difficult for me but if you are patient, you can avoid them somewhat easily, maybe because I’m used to this kind of attacks I could get it with no problem haha. The story is funny and I liked the ending, at least we got the dream home xD
I liked the visuals a bit, good that the village doesn’t feel empty and the ghost at the start is a good touch. Nice entry and good you went and made something bullet hell ish, I like that kind of game

Yeah, I spend more time in the visuals of the characters and background than the rest of the visuals, the intro and logo visuals are very rushed haha
And yeah, you can’t die in the last attack, also with the exchanges of melee attacks, it always will put you at 1 hp if you have less than 71 hp, the only way you can die is if you keep doing ranged attacks without healing

This is an interesting and fun game, I have never played something like this before haha :)
I liked the visuals, the transition from snow to grass was nice, the music never felt repetitive for me and the audio was nice, not loud or quiet, it was at a good spot
About the gameplay, I’m happy you put a way to look up what was below, this made the game fair and not just a blind jump fest which can be a common problem in platformers, so this was a great point. The jacket being a safe spot for falling is funny and good, I think it could be a little buggy at slopes but outside of that, it always worked and I like this because it reflects the theme of the jam. Also there is like a little bug that rarely happens at the start of each play, where after the 1st death, you are unable to move but once you jump you can control the character again, I don’t know how to replicate it…
In my 1st play I thought you could easily skip the signs but at the end I saw you could see how many there are which it’s a good point to make the game replayable, I played again and got all the signs. And rarely I jumped, I see there are areas where you can jump but I felt that if you fell down and repeated the path was easier or faster than jumping to explore
It was short but it was a fun experience, good game. :D

I really like that you can destroy enemy bullets with your own ones, I think this mechanic/gun play could be implemented in a bigger game. It could be fun to use this with a machine gun or with more bullets or harder enemies where you have to shoot enemy bullets to avoid the damage and not something optional like in the game.
Also the enemy cats look cute and good, the only downside is that they can keep shooting after you kill them. The ghost mechanic is also fun, the way you have to die on purpose to keep progressing is interesting, maybe playing with the time you are as a ghost could lead to some small puzzle platforming like the few sections in the game.
I think the game is good without music because the atmosphere, like it feels it don’t need songs and the gunshots with the fire is enough, About the fire, I think the only thing I didn’t like is you can’t jump once you are in the floor where the fire is, making the ghost part a little frustrating because it means you need to die again to get unstuck from that place.
Also, great tutorial, I like it. I think I don’t have much to say outside those points, I liked this game :D

I really like the effect that the background has, I don’t know how to explain it but it’s cool and makes the visuals of the game great. About the visuals, I also like each boss, very fitting to those works haha
About the gameplay, despite being simple, I liked it, the options are funny, my favorites are corpo speak and drink blood bag hahaha, One thing I noticed was, I never used the 2 mana skill, I never found myself using it, I prefer to just stall the fight using the cure until I have 4 of mana and once I have more hp than the boss, just spam the 1 mana skill until it ends.
Another thing is, I like the song but it got a little repetitive for me at the end of the last boss, which is ok because I think I took more time than I should by doing the strat I said above

I had some fun playing this but I don’t think I’ll finish the game because killing 9999 enemies can be a lot for me, you can get cornered easily if the big one spawns above you and practically it’s game over… :( Maybe I have a skill issue but after trying 3 times, I don’t think I can haha
I had fun making circles while killing the enemies, reminding me to cod zombies where I did the same. I felt it was a bit hard at times hitting the eyes at the start when you gun shoot slowly but the amount was fine, I liked the building part where you have to climb and each floor has enemies. But in my 1st try I didn’t know I could jump against a wall as much as I wanted until I saw a comment about it, after I saw the walls of different colors, I get that’s a hint just I didn’t think much about it because I thought it was the lightning of the moon haha
You can get softlock if you use this skill with an enemy, when an enemy hits you and you jump, you can keep jumping but the enemy ends up under you and you can’t kill it making you unable to move or do something. About the enemies, I like the design of them
I like the filter of the camera, that makes it pixelated and I think it ends with a good visual. I would liked sounds because that would make me stay longer in the game. But as I said, I had some fun playing it, congrats on finishing your 1st jam, doing 3d in a short time as 1st time is amazing, I hope you keep doing games! :)

The voice acting is good or I could understand everything without reading the text, I like that each monster and soul have their own voice, the red one makes me laugh for how it is. I also like how the skulls on the walls have the same emotions as the souls you have to reap and the maze was fun, I got caught once because I followed a path that was a dead end haha. But once you explore it a little, the path can be clear or I felt that
The only thing I could say it’s, while there are options to adjust the levels of volume, maybe lowering the music a little bit would be good because it drowned the voice at times, and for how short the songs are, it can get a little repetitive but outside that, I like the game :)
The story can be a little interesting, I like the idea of this happening each millennium and the friends of the grim reaper are helping, but listening to the old grim reaper saying something about seeing pa and ma, makes me wonder if they are alive after that amount of time haha. In any case, I tried to get caught 5 times to see the dialogue and it’s funny to see the effects of it hahaha, the easy mode to clear the game, also I did pass the game without getting caught and it’s nice to see the changes in the dialogue :)

I also didn't expect to make it like Osu, I had in mind other system where you aim, like those aim labs and do a crit if hit on time but I ended up going for the Osu without the rhythm haha
I'll think about keep working on the game, I know how to continue the story and stuff so I could keep expand the game if I want to.
But lately I feel I'm ready to do my first little game that isn't from a jam and in some way I'll include my game jams into it, which will make me refine all of them while I keep learning
So if I keep working on this, maybe I mix it with another game I did which is similar because have lot of story at the start and then a boss, but in that game you actually move and hit the boss haha. Also there is the game I did for GMTK jam that I should work on to keep learning about physics, many things I can keep working on hmmm...

If I’m honest I didn’t crunch that much or I just did the same time per day like I did with our game, here I took more time off to do my daily stuff. The 1st day I didn’t do as much as I wanted, I had to redo the 3 drawings I had done by that time but in Clip Studio because I didn’t like how it looked in Aseprite…

But I guess I could put this because I didn’t lose time watching tutorials and stuff. Also helped the study of music I have been doing the last few weeks, I could make something faster than usual, though, the boss song could be improved but I got skill issued at the middle xD (And because I cut stuff and ended being simple, the fight is supposed to be more chaotic but I ended with this thing…)
And don’t worry, I’m also bad at Osu, last time I played it was years ago, I could play a little decent this game after testing a whole day the game but I never could pull off a full wave perfect for the last 3-4 pattern xD The game is designed in a way that if you pull an all perfect, you only do 1 time the pattern but I didn’t put a pre read to help so it’s just kind of bad lol
And I agree, I made it too long, maybe 2 hits would be enough but I just keep experimenting with bosses and “wave”/stages of the battle, I like when bosses have a few difficulty spikes. Glad you liked the writing, I couldn’t refine the BBText to make it better and the scenes are rushed, the goofy “cinematic” scenes and the intro drawings made in like 10-15 minutes each xD
I made all the dialogues on Satuday night and the next day I had to rush the healing skill with the flow of the scenes because the only thing made was the fight and a bit of the pre death scene hahaha

The original scoop sounds very fun :o but I understand the overscoop part, I also had plans for my game but in the end I had to rush things to finish something on time, or each jam it's the same xD

I’ll think about the pattern attack because your comment gave me an idea or it complements an idea I had before this
I went with the clicking around the screen design because the game called Osu, where you do that but at the rhythm of a song, just without the rhythm part because I wouldn’t finish in time and also I didn’t want that the player got bored of clicking the same pattern a lot. I agree it’s longer than it should be, but if I made those faster it would be harder, I had to lower the speed haha
About the art, the images that appear in the intro I had to rush all of them last day haha, Happy you played my game, thanks for playing ^_^
I see, I understand the balancing and bad design parts haha, my game for this jam is very unbalanced due to a bug and lack of time, and 2 jams ago the game I was making had many bad designs but I tried to use that to make a “rage game” to cover those as intended when it was far away from the original idea xD

The art is good, the skull at the store/end screen it’s too good, my favorite. I like the nap skill because you can see the cat sleep
About the skills, I like the vision, those can be synergies but there is 1 skill that can be a double edge sword which is the one that adds a platform/roof above the floor. It can be very good in early game but it can be bad if you don’t get something to get above again like the wall climbing or the double jump because it turns into an obstacle when more bats start to appear. Which is good because it’s the risk that this kind of game has but can feel a bit frustrating quickly when you get unlucky with the shop
A skill I didn’t like as 1st impression was the one adding the platform and respawing in the middle and not over the platform, it can be avoided with the one that makes you invincible 3 seconds or just pressing any direction but the 1st time I picked it, I fell again haha. Also it has a funny interaction with adding the roof to the platform because if you have a platform with a roof and you pick the adding a new platform skill, the roof stays in the center and if you don’t have something to get over, you can’t use all the floor :(
Also you can live forever if you get lucky with the shop, spend 1 life in the skill that gives you 2 deaths into Catnip skill and you can die as much as you want as long as you get those 2 in that order haha, sadly my luck ran out and actually got game over.
Also the existence of the Blank skill is funny xD

Maybe another day I’ll try to beat the 9 waves, my pb is the last part of wave 8, like 8x%, just got an unlucky spawn of those really quick bats. Other than this, the game feels nice or I don’t have something to give feedback/comment, I like the visuals and music and it’s easy to pick up, the platforming feels smooth and can be forgiving, sometimes I felt the enemy touched me but it didn’t count so it’s good, a great difficulty or not unfair in that part.

The art it’s cute. I like when Phi gets very happy at the end, it makes me laugh how it moves. I think my favorite is the angry expression and I also like the flame changes with the mood
I liked the story, the one time death didn’t say anything, just revive Phi was my favorite hahaha. Also I liked the Chonky Pigeon and the Borgerz death
The songs are nice, glad to see we can get to listen to the ending song now :)
I think my favorite thing about the game is the interpretation of the theme. I didn’t expect this and it feels refreshing playing games that fit the theme but are in some way “away” from the mental image one can have or aren’t the thing you expect to see because it feels nice and creative. More when the idea is a phoenix abusing the ability of being reborn to see death xD
The game despite being small, for me feels alive, those little pigeons around make the game not feel empty when you are looking around which I really like, also I like to search around in games like this if I can get outbounds or something but everything is fine, just found like an invisible thing that don’t let you walk through, are at the houses below the wood fences, which isn’t a problem because don’t impact the game or normally someone wouldn’t be there, just me always looking to break the games haha

I had a very fun time playing this game ^^
I think I’ll start with, I really like the way the game page looks, it looks cute and it’s nice to only have the button on display, I think it’s the 1st time I see a game page like this, good description, plenty of screenshots and it feels very complete!
About the game, it reminds me of old flash games for some reason, probably this would be a game I would play for some time/days back then. The gameplay is creative, that if you only eat a lot 1 side the cookie, it crumbles so you are forced to actually eat different parts which is good, the game is forgiving because it’s enough with just touching the finishing line which I really appreciate it, also this point can lead to funny bite biscuits finish the level haha
The bite indicator is great but I don’t know if it’s a bug that in level 4/9 (in hard mode), the indicator disappears, I like that because it feels that you actually have to master the game and it felt brutal but in a way that is fun challenge, I thought it would be like that from that point but next level the indicator came back, so it would be nice to put this as an extra mode maybe, could be fun
The percentage of biscuit eaten it’s a nice touch that implements the theme of the jam well but it can be a little misleading when you eat the exact amount required. In level 1/5 you can pass the level with just 1 max bite because it lands you 20% of the biscuit but sometimes when I finished the level, it said I ate 21% or that I didn’t eat enough despite it was 20%, so in hard mode I was a bit afraid of landing the exact amount because it could say I didn’t eat enough.
I like that the game has an extra mode. The 1st 5 levels are fun, the first 2 can be passed with just a max bite and I like it this way because you are “learning” how to play, meanwhile the hard mode can be very fun with the minimum required per biscuit and makes me actually put attention, my max progress was at 7/9, I ran out of time and I left a side that very horizontal so it didn’t even make it out of the start line hahaha, it’s a bit sad that there is no save in web, but since the 1st 5 levels are easy, I think it can be ok
I like the art, it’s cute, I like both fairies, the lore is simple but I like it, but also the people in town are very forgiving, imagine getting your biscuit eaten, almost of it gone, the idea makes me laugh
The music fits the game, I just feel when you win the game, or at least the time I won, the victory theme repeated like 3-4 times when I feel it should be only once
I really had fun playing this, I don’t know if I’ll come back to actually finish, I’ll try but I don’t think I can give more feedback to the game.
Hmm, maybe when the time is about to run out, make it more visible so it's easier to know that, the menu is great, I like the "how to play" image but maybe add that you can collapse the cookie, I like the variety of biscuits and would be nice to see them in just 1 screen, just to see them all, maybe unlock them if you beat the level, idk, I'm just throwing ideas hahaha

(Well, I feel my comments are more my experience/impressions than actual feedback haha, nice to see you keep doing games, last time I played one of your games was the shadow 3d game for the PS jam last year haha, keep going ^^)

Small but good game!
There are a few things that not convince me much, I think the main issue for me is how floaty the stuns feel, maybe if you fall faster or it would be a bit quicker, it would be more enjoyable or it could give the player more confidence because in some point I started to think that running wasn’t good when you are close to the delivery point but some jumps needed sprint so could be more punishing that it should. I kind of understand why the stun is there, it is just the slowdown of the gameplay that makes me see the stun as something not that fun
Also, when you get stun and you are moving the camera, the camera gets locked and keeps rotating which could not be good to restrict the camera movement here because it can feel very unresponsive and maybe some players could get annoyed if the camera moves that much without some control
Other than this, the gameplay feels fine, I like the buffs that are around the map and if you move well, you won’t crash and will move in a smooth way, the bananas are funny and the trampolines are fun, the drones are good because it fits with the world and it’s a creative way to use them as moving platforms in this case instead of adding more props to the scene
About the world, it didn’t feel annoying or feels ok when you explore it with no rush, I like there is a way to reach everything in the map and it didn’t feel empty, maybe in the borders a little but those places aren’t the main point of the map and when you are delivering, the player don’t go through those places. About the amount of buffs I think it’s good, not too many and there are in needed places, which I appreciate for not making it difficult in a sense that you need to pick the buff away from it’s needed and you need to rush to the point to use it, maybe a bit more of bananas would be ok haha
About the controls, I like them but I would prefer the run button on the left stick instead of the right one but I like that it’s 1 push activation and not holding, the only issue I had was that 1st I was playing with keyboard, then switch to control and when I switched back to keyboard, the inputs feel chopped or that the keyboard wasn’t responsive as before making me stay on the controller
Other than that, the game went smoothly. I like there is an end and the world feels nice when you are playing, the song felt like a company ad and that kind of fit with this game because it’s delivery haha. And I like that the game makes you go to the top of the world as the last delivery, also I read in the description that I shouldn’t jump into the blimp and I see why, funny bug hahaha

I’m happy I could find this game randomly in the rate submission page, I had a lot of fun, but I’m biased because I really like this kind of game! ^^
It’s a simple shmup but it’s has a great way to make it interesting and hard, more at the later part of the stage, I really like this "parry" implementation to keep hitting the cookie/biscuit to keep scoring points, you really have to put yourself in a risky situation to get a good highscore which really fits with the theme of the jam. If your gamble isn’t good, you get punished but the recovery is nice because it slows down and I like that, it gives time to have a nice position again and not get hit too fast again unless you risk everything again haha
I like the position of the waves, it’s nice to have something defined but it’s a bit slow when you miss the last part of the wave because there isn’t much to do if that happens, which is ok, I can use that calm before the storm to get a better position for the next wave
The art is great, I really like it, the witch is cute and the cookies look delicious. The game displays the damage to the enemy well and it has a natural way to show the amount of attacks the enemy will do. I like the magic lance animation, everything has great feedback to know what is happening on screen, I didn’t feel lost while playing, maybe the 1st time while I see how the game was but from my second run, the game felt clear
The soundtrack is good, I think for shmups, songs are key and this game has that point, I could play for a while and probably I’ll come back to get a better highscore because I had lots of fun playing this game :)
I think the only thing I could say is, it would be good to have a button to restart the level and not just one to go to the main menu to restart the game at the end of each run, it isn’t annoying but could give a faster attempt for the next run. And I would like to see a boss haha, only for the sake of having one, the game is fun but that would be the cherry on the top, even if that is a simple one. But other than this, I can’t think of anything to say, the game is great and I like the way it is
