Scammed by the log's hitbox smh. Very cute very fun graphics! :)

Thanks! I wonder what you mean? (or if anyone else reading this feels that way). To me there's plenty of ground friction that makes it *not* feel like ice, but I'm totally open to being wrong! Thanks for checking it out :)

Thanks so much for playing! Glad you like the humor - I'm very proud of it. The "you win" screen is maybe my favorite part, but I don't know if anyone will get that far haha

Really love the pixel art! The capsule art is also lovely. Great work, I had fun :)

The "level complete" sound effect is so freaking brilliant and cute haha

oop I forgot to address this. Just uploaded a fix! haha

I'm thrilled to announce I have just published the demo for my upcoming game, A Wicked Game!

In A Wicked Game, the rules are unclear or incomplete. There may or may not be feedback. Patterns will be hard to find. A Wicked Game demands the player know things which are never taught, demands that they contort themselves to a constantly-changing control scheme, and success requires mastery combined with luck. The characters you meet are deliberately inhospitable. They are impatient, rude, and inconsistent. They will help you and harm you, but it will be unclear which is happening. Trust is hard to find here.

This game carefully rides the line between rage and delight. Ultimately you'll fall one way or the other. Which way will you be going?

A Wicked Game is playable now on Itch!

Good luck.

😇 thanks so much for checking it out!!

Thanks for playing <3

So glad you uploaded this! I used a similar technique (inspired by your work here) across several layers to create a fire-like effect for some text in my most recent game. I gave you credit, so hopefully more folks see your work here. Thanks for sharing! :)

Thanks for this lovely pack! I used it in a game I just finished making called Toasty Tires :)

Horror infused nostalgia!

You're playing with your toys in your bedroom when your parent comes in and asks you to clean up. Can you pick up your room before it's too late? Or take your car for a spin in endless mode, where the carpet is never-ending. Just enjoy the ride.

Zip around the carpet and hardwood floor across Five unique levels. Explore and maybe by the end you'll uncover what's wrong with your parent. There's a browser Demo version available, which includes an endless car mat mode. Infinite exploration!

Fully voiced cutscenes coming soon.

😲

Thanks for checking it out!!

hey thanks for playing and for the thoughts! sounds like you had the intended experience of the game hahaha (sorry about the trolling). Lots of great input - I appreciate your time

Yeah bad phrasing - any of the mapped keys can be pressed (pause, up and down)

Hey hey - thanks for playing! :) If you made it past 10 minutes, you should have gotten an audio cue to return to the main menu. Once you've survived that long, there's a gold star in the top right corner to toggle "manual mode" where the autopilot is turned off. (going to change that to 5 minutes)

As to the why: I'm a bit of a troll haha. I have been really treating making games as a bit of an experiment. Here it's like 'what does a game look like that doesn't need the player to play? How does it feel to play a game that later you realize you never had full control of?' And yes, I made the autopilot myself! Turns out it's easy to make something look 'smart' when it is in fact not all that smart hahah

TLDR: Art School has (endearingly) ruined me. haha

Thanks for playing! Yes, it's totally meant to fully play itself, but didn't want to telegraph it to new players. So I went for a subtle nod haha. I've been making games that all have some experimental question at their core, like "what does a game that doesn't need a player look like?" in this case. This is just the latest installment in my shenanigans lol. Glad you liked the wind sounds! hahaha

If you let it run long enough, you unlock a fully manual mode ;) Thanks for checking it out!

hahaha thanks! Had a good time making the wind lol. Thanks for playing

Ah yeah I thought about slowly changing it! But I opted to make a sort of 'achievement' where if you fly long enough you unlock a fully manual mode :D Thanks for playing!

I didn't sadly! I couldn't find Sheri hahah 😅

Bahahaha yeah the controls get kind of locked up when they're at the max angle (45 degrees up or down) - def needs some adjusting to hide better. The goal is that you don't notice right away :) Thanks for playing and for the comment!

Hmm I wonder if you found the secret of the game :) *ahem* I mean nothing. Thanks for checking it out!

Nice job! Love the models - had a nice cozy time with it. :)

Ahhh this was great! Really nice work. A few confusing bits, but it looks nice and the gameplay is fun. :)

You know, sometimes it's like that! haha. But even making this much is something to be proud of. If you learned something, it's progress!! :)

Super nice work! Lots of depth, fun level design, nice movement. Thanks for making it :)

Nice job! Made me laugh, made me relax, would play again. Great work :)

Really nice job! Once I sorted how to play it was a nice time. Agree with other folks, but had a nice time nonetheless :)

Nice job! I feel like I got a bad random generation near the top - it was super tough to get to the next platform!

Hey - just a heads up you may still have your game marked as private! Nothing there when I try to play it.

This is nice! The music and art is a really nice vibe. I did find the font a bit tough to read, especially for something like Sudoku, but otherwise I had a nice time. Managed to get one board finished :)

Cute game! I like the idea of moving between the underwater view and the boat view. Took me a sec to realize I move the hook with my mouse.

Dang that ending...

hahaha thanks!

Hey thanks for playing! :)

On the title screen you can pick between the two planes - one of them does have that control scheme! Thanks for playing :)

Thanks for checking it out!

Still thinking about this game - played it earlier today. I loved it a lot. The title is delightful. <3
