If itch has a problem with spam, why block legit users? Sounds like a problem of itch to me. Anyway I will wait a while and if this doesn't change I will delete my account here.

My "...recent account activity."? There is none! I only post covers here. I didn't post anything offensive. Please clarify what the issue is here? I mean come on, this is ridiculous I post covers & reply sometimes, that's it. Why would you block me for that?

PS: I sent a mail to itch support, this is a bad joke. Unblock my account or tell me what's up. I might delete my account if this keeps up. Censorship is a no-go.

looks like a spectrum game. might be good but the speccy look is a an absolute no-go for me, not gonna lie. good luck for your game but i'm out. nah/10

edit: no need to apologize, not everything is for everyone. it's simply not my style that's all.

Ah, ok. I should have read the description more - it's an ok game but not as great as eg part 2 was.

I think without the strobe effects it lacks some cool. Thx anyway I'll try it again a few more times.

Aaaw, man... :/ I was awaiting the third part but after trying it out for a bit I'm sadly disappointed. No idea what happened here, but part 3 lacks all the bling the previous 2 parts had.

Without the cool flashing effects it's just not the same, it's what made it stand out. Remove that and you have just an average invaders game.

Couldn't get into this one. Found it very cumbersome to play. Maybe 5/10

Weird choice for a game name, I mean there are absolute trash games but this doesn't seem to be one.

8.5/10 game, great zorro vibes.

edit: this is not official artwork nor is it "AI". I used a 2020 movie cover for this (I always use stuff on the web as I see fit, so nothing's "stolen" like this guy below claims) to make some fan cover out of it. I didn't like the original artwork so I decided on something better. All covers I post from time to time get deleted after 2 weeks, after that they are only available in my collection on my itch page https://reflex64.itch.io/

I'll remove the Icon logo since it's not a game from them it seems (sometimes things stay in my templates, blame my workflow huh), so yeah.

Whoah. You misunderstand me completely. It is NOT crap, in fact it is IMPRESSIVE. It's just that I am not a fan of this 3D stuff on the C64, this has nothing to do with you or your game, the problem I have with 3D is in fact on MY side. Your game is GOOD, it's just that I am not happy with 3D games on the C64 that is my problem. Has nothing to do with your game!

Your game is not in my crap category otherwise I wouldn't have posted a comment here at all ok? I just had it with people constantly bitching about my comments, that's the reason for the harsh reply. Has nothing to do with your game at all.

graphics: good. gameplay: a bit boring. overall: 5.5/10

people can whine about it all they want, that's my opinion on this game.

Oh? I didn't know. Maybe that's why I dig it haha. Joking aside, it's an OK game. Waiting for Let's Invade 3 (I see the itch page is already up).

I've tried the first one but didn't get much out of it, but this sequel is actually quite decent for a SEUCK title.

Good for a quick game now and then, 6.5/10-ish

Ok, this is the last time I am going to repeat myself: I am fed up with people lambasting me over my comments. To those people I say, learn the difference between negativity and constructive criticism because you clearly don't know. I said I am not a fan of 3D on the C64 and would prefer to not have these, and that was it - that does not mean I don't like this game! Now this was the last time I edit this post, yeeeeezus.

You wanted an opinion, that was mine. It's not my job, however to help you make your game and you won't ever see me touch the cancer that is Discord. I stick with my 3 main points tho: 1. Title of the game (change it) 2. No Sound FX (add it) and 3. The gameplay itself (change/tweak it). I've been playing games for over 40 years now and I can tell what works and what doesn't and here a lot simply doesn't. That's all I got for ya, so good luck with your game.

I tried to play the latest beta a bit but couldn't get into it. The game play is very tedious.

1) Few critic points: Timers. Timers suck. Never use timers. Everybody hates timers. 2) Gameplay loop: Very tedious, climbing up, falling down, rinse repeat. Bleh. Done it a 100x times. 3) Music: repetitive and not needed, could use sound effects instead because without sound effects it's even less of a game. Music is not needed at all imho or maybe just on one channel.

That's what I would have changed immediately as well as the name/hero of the game, which is lame. Well, it's not all sunshine and roses with this one. 5.5/10 game, maybe...?

On the plus side, the coding and graphics seem nice, but the game play itself doesn't keep up with it. Well, that's my take on this game.

Good title, needs an AI to be playable as single player though.

Good to know. Take a break, you certainly own it. I'm gonna miss ports like Lock n' Chase, Bagman & Dig Dug Revival but you already made a lot so thanks for all the work. Enjoy your time off.

Yes, it's a historic title so people expect it too look the part. Surprising so many people wanted this, I would have easily picked something else but it's all good, I made a cover for it as well, it's a nice classic after all.

Update: I just found out you made a H.E.R.O. 2 version for PC which already has better graphics, which is quite cool. Maybe that version is coming to C64 too one day... :)

Well, regarding the game... I always thought the graphics were crap, even back in the day lol, so.. it's not really my thing, never played it more than once or twice, I was more of a Bubble Bobble, Green Beret, Midnight Resistance & IK+ player.

As for the game, I rate it 6.5/10 at best, an average yet quite ugly console romp (man, those graphics are ruff... I'm too spoiled by new titles like Puzzle Bobble, SNK vs CAPCOM, Pig's Quest, etc. I'm a graphics guy, so a game must look good to me and this game simply doesn't.)

ok-ish gameplay. graphics are rough, though - especially the backgrounds. would have been better with more refined graphics. 6.5/10

I think the 1st game plays better, despite the simplistic graphics.

Poor Larry rotates in his grave. Thankfully a real LSL game will come out, too. I cannot endorse this. sorry.

more like "Mad Controls". You slide more than an ice skater o_O (Cat animation is nice though). Can't handle the control scheme so it's just 5/10 from me.

I don't know if it's a SEUCK title but imho it's the best game from TND. Normally I don't deal with SEUCK as they all play the same but this is bloody good. Edit: I hear a sequel is in the works, nice.

Oh, NOW I get it, *this* Underland lol. Ok that seems like a lot of work so... why don't take a break and add a new jump mechanic to "Catacombs" hehehehe (just joking....)

Ah come on, 5 weeks, 5 months, time doesn't matter in the C64 realm!

Maybe one day you will try and if so I will play it when it's finished. After all, if we don't do the work, who will? No one does it for us.

Sometimes I wish it were so, but sometimes it's just that, tedious work :)

Keyboard is not the issue here, I play with keyboard too. The issue is the controls.

Compare the controls with "Super Mario" from ZeroPaige. Those controls use the correct control scheme as established by Nintendo long ago - You press fire, Mario jumps, you steer left or right in mid air, Mario moves left or right mid air.

Classic correct control scheme. This game? Nah. Make a proper control scheme and I'd love to play it :)

I still own my NeoGeo Pocket color, this version is as close to the real thing as it gets. Outstanding graphics, 10/10 title.

No, it actually works. I found out that the jump mechanic is *really* bad tho - let me explain: 

I expect the character to jump when you press the fire button, but he only jumps when you also press left or right - now that's a bad control scheme, totally imprecise. You constantly fall to your death  because of that.

Overall cute game, but the control scheme is kabonkers, a good game brought down by bad controls :(
