About Me:
With 15 years of experience in sound design, music composition, recording, and creating sound effects, I bring a deep passion for crafting immersive audio experiences. Though music and sound have been a long-time creative outlet, I’ve recently focused on game audio—designing custom sounds and dynamic music to elevate gameplay. Now stepping into the world of game jams, I’m excited to collaborate, learn, and contribute to unique and inspiring projects.
Check out some of my stuff :)
This piece feels bright and clean! It gave me the vibe of a sunny summer day—relaxed yet productive. I could easily imagine it in an outdoor-themed building or simulation game. The progression was really clear, especially with the use of shakers, guitar, bass, and piano. Well done! Did you use an 808-style kick and a mandolin as well?
Thanks EPeterson! definitely! Thanks for the feedback! My original thought for this piece was about the feeling of tension from the knight seeing this dragon for the first time that he has to fight. this piece does need a resolve or a sense of stress with a increase in tempo and more variation to help create that emotion. :)
Thanks, Blue Lava! I really appreciate the thoughtful feedback—it was super helpful. Yes, the idea behind this piece was to capture the moment the knight finally comes face-to-face with the dragon he must fight. I also agree there’s definitely still room to grow. I felt the image carried a sense of fear and conflict, which I aimed to convey through the composition. To express the knight’s mindset leading into battle, I used deep cello ostinato chords to represent the looming threat, layered with sharp staccatos in the strings and brass to evoke both fear and bravery. That contrast, to me, helped create the tension of an inevitable and intense showdown. :)
