Fun concept for a unique weapon type in a bullet hell! Could use a bit of sound and music to keep it engaging for longer, but I had fun! Nice work!

Thanks for playing and leaving a comment! Glad you enjoyed it!

Definitely! A groovy track would make the experience more engaging, but still, glad you found it fun!

This appears to be your first solo project and it looks like you have a good understanding of how to make games and how to make them fun.  Sometimes, simple works and that's what you went with, which I have absolutely no problem with.  I agree with the other posts that this could use some polish, but otherwise, I think you're off to a good start, here.

Keep up the good work!  I wish you the best and hope you manage make 1st place in this jam!

Notes:

  • Difficulty is kinda all over the place, which makes it inconsistent to try and get a serious score.
  • Bonus Point: Wizard.  Everyone likes wizards, right? :D
  • Bonus Point: I like it when the theme is as much a mechanic as it is a graphic.  Nice! :)

You're right!
I appreciate your feedback! And I agree. I see the potential of having a more fine-tuned difficulty and giving even more weight to the wizard's main feature, the shooting direction swap.
Thanks for taking the time to play it and for giving constructive feedback!

I like your concept in this one! I'd be curious to see how it'd play differently if there was a little more ramping up on the number of hazards coming my way—some rounds I was able to survive for a really long time, and other times I got smacked right at the start of the round by a rush of 'em. Thanks for making and sharing your game!
