Cool pinball game!

Woo!  Pinball!  This is an itch game genre I normally don't get to play and you certainly made a good pinball game with your usual 'wizard' theme.  Kinda gotta feel for the poor character and how he has been Kirby'ed into the role. :)  I would have love to see the hat rotate around on the wizard, but the sprite serves it's purpose quite well.

I don't think I need to wish you 1st place.  You have already managed to accomplish that (at least) once in these jams.

Notes:

  • You actually open up your game in the full screen?  I thought I was the only one crazy enough to do that?!
  • Maybe it is just an artistic style, but the title screen 'fuzzy' pixel art and the 'START' sharp pixel art almost made my eyes hurt.
  • Way too easy to lose your ball as soon as the game starts.  I had a round where I never got to flip the ball, at all.  Many pinball games leave a grace period where if you sink your ball too fast or never get a chance to touch it.  Perhaps something like that can be added in?ball as soon as a round starts, you get a replacement ball for free.
  • I may have missed the mention of it, but I noticed that WASD works.  For a pinball game, that's a godsend mechanic, since I find opposing end controls makes it easier to manage the sticks.
  • The end game music overlaps with your generic background music, making the ending seem awkward.
  • Bonus Point: Your use of the wizard 'stick'.  That made me laugh! :D
  • Bonus Point: Wizard. Everyone likes wizards. :)

A really cool concept, and I really want to see the internals for how you pieced this together (especially knowing that it's actually a 3D game!). I'd be curious how the game would play if the paddles were a little faster on the upswing and if there was a tilt. I definitely found myself wishing for a tilt on a few occasions. Thanks for making and sharing your game!

gameplay felt very un-interactive. the two paddles felt very inadequate for stopping the ball from falling down and you have no other way of influencing the game.

graphics where solid. the background was bland but the objects all looked interesting.

Audio was great. the music was nice but the sound effects where very satisfying.

arrow theme felt a bit tacked on
