I’ve always enjoyed rhythm games, and you absolutely nailed the theme!

A very simple premise but super fun and engaging! The visual design of the arrows vs. worra made it very easy to parse visually and react quickly to it. Very nicely done

I think a bit of music and sound design would have made it even more fun!

What's your high score?

Okay, this was WAY more fun and addictive than I expected it to be when I first started.  The two big things that stuck out to me were:

  • Your combo count also doubles as a form of 'shield' so you can take an arrow hit without scoring a game over.
  • Speed increase.  Boy, that actually adds a LOT to this game.

Yet another fine contribution to the Alchemy Jam!  I wish you best and hope you get 1st place (Honestly, I have been hoping this for everyone because we have a pretty good lineup, this time, but that does not invalidate the sincerity).

Notes:

  •  Fun Fact: This was the only game (outside of mine) I managed to get working on my obsolete browser.   You can now officially say this game supports Windows XP!!!  XD
  •  I did not have the chance to observe this, but do you get bonus points for the size of your combo?  Might be interesting add-on to chain the combo score somewhat (maybe something like: FLOOR(combo x your_combo/100) so each time you score an extra point, it contributed to a larger bonus when the combo is broken?).

Ah, a fun and simple game! I like the subtle details here, like the arrow used to represent the wizard's beard! It'd be great to see more ways to mix up the game play or maybe even different types of worras, if you decide you'd want to extend your game in the future. Thanks for making and sharing your game!
