This one deserves more attention! That was really really cool. One strong mechanic with some interesting spacial reasoning puzzles. Very atmospheric environment and background sounds. Love the fact that the little zap marks persist to show how many attempts it took to get through a spot. Only bug was a few times I got the energy ball off the track and it wouldn't interact with anything until I looked back at the last checkpoint. I think this could be adapted into a very cool VR game btw. Well done!

Developer

Thanks for playing! I'm glad you like it. The game is built on the Unreal Engine, so it should work already on VR thanks to UEVR (open source mod), but I don't have any VR headset, so I can't check it out.

Oh interesting! Well fair enough, maybe some day! Haha

This one is really neat! I really love how the puzzles expand upon each other, it seemed like a simple line connecting puzzle game but it got so much more complex it was great, and there was so much hidden! I caught that Portal easter egg btw.

[SPOILER WARNING]

PEAK AMBIENT AND PUZZLE, had alot of fun trying to solve them with the least amount of traversed lines
My only complain is that, except for the ending, i didn't quite get the risk, maybe you could add some sort of shortcuts or ways to cheese the puzzle even more, at the costs of making it harder (less checkpoints, thinner lines,...)
oh and pleaseeee mouse sensitivity setting.

Except for that I LOVED IT

Great game! Managed to get 65 biscuits and reach the exit, not sure if I missed anything.

Quality was really high. Good ambience and a solid idea. Felt like a game I would buy on steam.

A mouse sensitivity setting would be a nice addition, felt like I was playing on hard mode with mine haha.

Really good job.

Developer (1 edit)

Mouse sensitivity, of course! I overlooked such an obvious option, I will definitely add it in an update after the jam, thanks!

Puzzle games are hard to make because you have to make something that a user can figure out, but make it wrack their brain or something so they get satisfaction from it.

One of my favorite things in this game is that the puzzles are very cheeseable but in a good way. Let me explain, on one part there's a giant winding black line that goes like a roundabout, and I'm like hell naw, not doing that, but then after some time I figure out that I can get the light to just jump immediately to the target position by perfectly aligning my cursor with the beginning, and I immediately am like, wow I am good at video games!

Making your puzzles have cool and think-out-of-the-box shortcuts are amazing, and I can't even tell if it's intended or not.

I would do the bonus cookie segments but I'm tired right now, so I'll think about it later. (Never mind it doesn't save my progress, I can't do it now.  :( Note: not to say I want progress saving, there's no way you can pull that off in such a short time)

The graphics and lighting are very good as well, which is pretty amazing as visuals are normally not a huge focus of puzzle games.

Highly underrated masterpiece, deserves at least a hundred more ratings.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing and detailed review! Shortcuts are planned, except for those that were not planned, but if it did not spoil the game and the player is satisfied, it means that the goal has been achieved :) I think the low number of ratings is mainly due to the lack of a web version and monochromatic, non eye-catching visuals. I didn't foresee this, it's my first jam on itch.io.

The game is insanely well made, I'm very impatient and failed.. A LOT, anyway, this's the best puzzle game I've played so far!! > v<

Developer

Thanks for playing! Happy to hear that :)

Thanks for playing! I will try to improve most things in the updates after the jam.

Please i beg of you, notify me when you come out with a version where the little dot snaps to the lines! I cannot count the amount of times it went off and i had to restart. Couldnt finish the game because of the ragebait, tho it looks super fun and creative

Developer

Thanks for playing! I'll let you know when I add easy mode.

Really cool game. The level is so atmospheric. It reminds me of The Witness. The core mechanic is fun and challenging. Well executed. Great game. I think I got them all?

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thanks for playing! There are still some secret biscuits left.

Submitted(+1)

Main mechanic reminds me of Outer Wilds, very cool mechanic. Visuals and sound effect are good too, it's sucks that playing low fps makes this game so much harder (I couldn't even take the first biscuit) but maybe it's just skill issue.

Developer

Thanks for playing! Have you tried setting lower graphics settings?

Submitted

Sadly yes but still had low fps.

Developer

Can you tell me what pc you have? I will try to optimize the game for lower specs in post-jam updates.

Submitted(+1)

I have my 4 years old laptop with gtx 1650ti and intel i5 10300H. Performance issues are not only about your game though, my pc got old and has some problems.

So maby i missed something or maby i had a bug but there was no orb or anything to control, but i managed to crawl uder the things that are blocking the doors and i went for exploring, didnt get any biscuits but i enjoyed the scenery becouse im the type of guy who just goes out of bounds to explore stuff so ive enjoyed it either way (:

Developer (1 edit)

Starting puzzle is exactly behind the starting point, behind scoreboard, by the circle on the ground. Anyway thanks for playing :)

Submitted(+1)

Really original and fun! It's chill but requires some concentration, i enjoyed it! I forgot to grab one cookie at the beginning and had to go all the way back 😅

The biscuits are a lie. The biscuits are a lie. The biscuits are a lie. The biscuits are a lie. The biscuits are a lie. The biscuits are a lie. The biscuits are a lie. The biscuits are a lie. The biscuits are a lie.

Got 59 cookies but feel like there is more to find for some reason. 10/10 game!

Also I really want to go back there, but just BARELY can’t make it lol image.png

Developer

Thanks for playing! You can get a total of biscuits. As for the place in the screenshot, there is nothing there, you have gone beyond the playable area.

I love the colors and visuals! :DD

Submitted(+2)

Well executed, the game felt polished and the minimalist style work well, managed to finish the game even if some part was a bit frustrating and was starting to harm my hand ahah

Submitted(+2)

Wow! What an interesting mechanic to build a first person puzzle game around. Reminded me a lot of The Witness in all the best ways. Great job!

Submitted(+2)

Quite interesting, call me crazy, but for some reason the ambitation reminded me a bit of dune jeje. However i think is a bit confusing, since there are not instructions, i manage to advance to some other locations, but the jump was a bit complicated, so it was frustrating, falling and returning to the start every time. Great work tho, to create this by yourself. Cheers

Developer (1 edit) (+2)

Thanks for playing! I could add a checkpoint before the platforming section, but I don't want to break the jam rules, it's too late.

Submitted(+1)

Loved the creativity and effort put into this game. ✨

Submitted(+1)

Any chance for a linux or web build of the game? It looks super interesting

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

I just added a Linux build. Have fun!

You're a legend, thanks!
