How does the game fit the theme?
In this platformer, the player must balance their own health with an "audience entertainment" meter. In order to keep the audience entertained, the player may deliberately injure themselves (coming at the cost of HP) or narrowly dodge obstacles. Either way, the player can only win through taking unusual and interesting risks.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
All code, art, and writing are original.
Sound effects were created by mixing public domain sounds from freesounds.com
The soundtrack features Rachmaninoff 's Prelude in G minor performed by the Orchestra of the Music Makers and Hungarian Dance no. 5 by Johannes Brahms.

This was a really fun concept! Although it was short, it was a really cool use of the theme, and the visual style complemented it quite nicely. I really only had minor comments - the text moving at the beginning made it a bit hard to read, and the screen shake upon taking damage was a bit much. But beyond that, it was a really awesome project. Great work!
Thank you for playing! Yes, I should add a setting to reduce screen shake.
WOW very underrated game! I love the artstyle SO MUCH that main menu is already a 10/10 and the game even more! I enjoyed how the gameplay fit the theme very well and getting comboed by traps is very fun for the audience and myself! Congrats on submitting such an incredible game!
Thank you so much for the kind words!!
I love the visual style here! The gameplay is fun and unique as well! I greatly enjoyed this game. My only complaint is that the second saw at the beginning is weirdly hard to get over. fantastic job! (Also hello from discord)
Thanks so much for playing! What you might be experiencing with the second saw is that there's a trampoline on the ceiling that will bounce you down into the sawblade if you jump too high. I think it's a little unclear though, so thanks for the feedback!
I wish so dearly that more people would give downloadable games a shot, this was really well done! Fits the theme perfectly, well explained in the tutorial, and was fun to play! I hope this gets more attention, well done!
Thank you for the kind words!
A fantastic concept, well executed in a tight little game.
Thank you!
Great game, really impressed it was made all by yourself, congrats! I loved the aesthetic and the ambience you made, it really feels that you are the star of the show, the risk mechanic is very well made, it makes it obligatory to take risks but not too much as you may be destroyed, so it depends on the player to balance how much they want to risk, my only suggestion I would make is to reduce a little bit the size of dialogue boxes during gameplay, they were distracting sometimes, but other than that a perfect game for this game jam, hope you can make a longer version later :)
Thank you so much for playing and for the kind words! And you're right, the dialog boxes can be a bit distracting as they are now.
I really like the overall visual style and premise of this game! Very unique take on the theme compared to a lot of the other games that I've played during this rating period! The only problem I have is that the moving parts take a bit too long to get from one place to another. So if you mess up, you might have to wait a long time before trying again. Other than that, good job!
Thanks so much for playing! The moving parts being relatively slow was actually intentional, to force you to have to entertain the audience in the meantime, rather than running straight through. Still, I see how it could be a bit annoying, so I could make them a bit faster. Thanks for the feedback!
I liked your game so much! Pretty sad that it's so short to beat, this first level was challenging to me but once I have beated I thought it would have more... You made a really good job, the visuals are excellent, the movements are precise, the idea itself is unique. The game was really fun to play. But seriously: what amazing art, maybe it's my nostalgia talking, but it's incredible how this game reminds me Ps1/Ps2 vibes, also the CRT filter that you seamed to use, excellent choice! This was a fun game to play and it deserves much more ratings... Well, only thing that lacks in the game is more levels, the idea is good enough and the game has potential to good updates post-jam. Good job, congrats for your game.
Thanks so much for playing and I'm glad you liked it! I am definitely considering turning it into a full game post-jam :)
Controls are a bit unfair, but the game is amazing and looks gorgeous, I love the menu and how the cursor lights up the scene with a spot light. Great work!
Thank you for playing, and I'm happy you like the visuals! I'm curious what you mean about the controls though, they seem pretty standard to me as far as platformer games go. What feedback would you give there?
I feel like its hard to control the character while in the air, makes it hard to move in a precise matter.
Okay, thanks for the feedback!
I really enjoyed trying to balance my life and attention to the public. The visuals are also very good, although I felt really sorry for the machine, I managed to get to the end. The music is also great, it was a great work.
Thanks for playing, and I'm glad you enjoyed the gameplay! I feel sorry for the machine too
Really amazing, the visual design, models, theme, audio, all amazing. Great work, i really enjoyed playing!
Can't belive you did all that in a week.
Thanks, I really appreciate it!
I'm honestly kind of confused how this doesn't have more ratings. The visuals are very sleek, the initial dialogue was quite entertaining, and the gameplay is pretty solid as well! The sound design I found particularly impressive, all of the clanks and bonks along with a classical piece to add to the humor was incredibly well done! The only problem is that it's quite difficult, keeping the audience retention at 60% or above, I found. Impressive work!
Thank you for playing! I'm glad you liked the sound design, I had a ton of fun with that hahaha! You're right that the difficulty could probably use a bit of balancing, at least for a first level (:
This is actually nice, it's another hidden gem in the jam, and it's sad to see not many people played this. The idea is quite unique, and although the "message" is slightly questionable (no, I don't care as long as the game is fun), the setting of the game really makes for an interesting dynamic and fun gameplay. The graphics look really nice, though I really doubt if the shader is ever needed in the first place, it seems like it should also look nice without it. Also, classical music in a jam? That's new XD
For some criticisms, I think the game is really short, and it's a bit too short. I've barely even started to understand the game and it's already ended. Consider adding a few more levels to the game. I also think the robot doesn't really seem damaged despite the damage indicator implies. It would be cool if the robot were physically disabled once a certain damage threshold is met.
Anyway, this is a really well-made and polished game! Keep up the good work!
Thank you for playing, glad you liked it! And yes, I love classical music...
Super polished game with amazing visuals! The shader really brings a beautiful unique aesthetic to the game. I also really do like the risk and balance of the entertainment meter vs your HP. One nitpick is that, although the dialogue box is well made, too many dialogues during the game is distracts from the gameplay and visuals a little bit.
Thanks for playing! I'm glad the risk vs. reward of the gameplay came through. About the dialogue boxes, they definitely can get a bit distracting when there are a bunch at once. If I work on this post-jam, I'll reduce the number of dialog boxes that can appear at once, and add a setting for it.
I really loved the game. The visuals fit the theme perfectly and beautifully graphics!!. The story was captivating, and I only wish there had been more episodes—I was genuinely sad when it ended. Overall, it was such a fun experience!! Love itttt
Thank you so much! More levels were intended, but I wouldn't have had enough time to polish them.
Fantastic! Love the style, love the theme, love the writing. Amazing you did all that art in a week too.
I had a lot of fun ^_^ Hope many more get to experience it!
Break a leg!
Thank you so much for playing! I'm glad you liked it.
