This is incredible! I didn't get it at first, but it's ridiculously fun! The only complaint I may have is that there are coin and quirk combinations that result in actually nothing, like a two sided penny is +0 or +0, but it wasn't a big enough issue to impact the game in major ways. The visuals are good, the game could use some music, but the sfx are on point. One of my favourite games in this jam, good job!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing the game and I am glad you enjoyed it :)

Some gimmick and coin combinations being useless or really bad was actually an intended design choice. We wanted to give a sense of like "good combinations" so that players are like "man i wish I had [this coin] with [this gimmick]." But I can see how that approach can be frustrating haha. Thanks for the feedback

Damn, the game's very cool! I really like the style and mechanics of the game ^^

// Getting an exact number of goals is super hard tho XD

I think it would be hilarious if the game let players multiply money like millions, billions of biscuits, and cash out to buy more mult (just some random ideas tho lol :p)

The game has a lot of potential, and I really like it! > v<

edit: see it has got only 24 rating, super underrated game

Developer(+1)

Hey ShineZ, thanks for checking out our game and I am happy you enjoyed it :))

I love the idea of doing mult for the biscuits. If we can figure out our spaghetti code and were to continue developing, creating even more crazy fun mechanics and coins that make the player go to obscene number of biscuits would be a lot of fun haha.

this game is wild. Good concept and great graphics :)

Developer

Thank you! The artists on our team really cooked so hard (─‿─)

Submitted(+1)

Really nice game in such a short time! Well done! :D

Developer

Thank you thank you ^_^ much love

Submitted(+2)

Loved the graphics on this game, very polished all around!

Developer(+1)

Hey, thank you so much and thanks for playing the game :) The artists def locked in and cooked

I really liked this game, I'm not a huge fan of luck-based games but for some reason my gambling addicted brain just couldn't resist this one. It's fun to plan out strategies to reach the exact goal and the upgrades feel useful! I also really love both the vibes and graphics! The game could really use a restart button, but other than that - extremely enjoyable game! :)

Developer(+1)

I am glad you enjoyed laundering some biscuits using coins haha. I will make sure to extend your kind comments to the artists :))

The game is definitely gambling inspired, but we tried our best to give the player much more control and room for strategy with the gimmicks and retosses. I agree that the game needs a restart button (and a whole lot more stuff like win states xd).

Hey, game really fun, very interesting and intuitive game, but I don't know if I understand 100%, I mean, I was thinking that I had to do a score between 10% and 25%, or exact. In this screenshot I'm sending, for example: 10% of 155 is 15.5, and 25% of 155 is 38,75. So, I managed 25 cents, this is not supposed to win at least the 10% prize? I think I didn't understand. Well, besides that, I played for a couple of minutes and I really liked the gameplay, I won some times, I liked the gimmick coins and also the biscs mechanic, good job in this game. And I would appreciate if you could explain why 25 cents isn't enough to win in the 155 goal.  Also I played in a goal of 120 and made 12 cents, that's exactly 10%, and I didn't win. I tried to flip the 1 cent coin and managed to get 13, and even that way I didn't win

Developer(+1)

Hey, thanks for playing the game. I apologize if the game objective wasn't clear (it's an issue we been running into with a lot of players lol). But you are supposed to score WITHIN that percent range of the Goal. So, as per your screenshot, being WITHIN 25% of 155 would mean you have to score between 116.25 and 193.75 (Rounded up of course). And within 10% of 155 would have to be scoring between 139.5 and 170.5

I know it's an abstract mechanic, since most similar games are usually just "score above this value," but we liked the idea of getting as close to a target number as possible so that the gamba is more strategic and you can't just press the highest number buttons.

Submitted(+1)

Oh, so basically I don't have to do 10%, I have to do at least 90% of The desired score, right? And I don't have to do 25%, I have to do 75%, right? I misunderstood The word "within"

Developer(+1)

Yes correct! Basically it is plus or minus 25% or 10%. You are trying to hit between 75% or 125% for the first cashout, between 90% and 110% for the second, and 100% exactly on the goal for the biggest cashout (ergo the risking it for the (more) biscuit)

The art is stunning, as simple as that. The coin flipping animation is also very satisfying. The gameplay is quite smooth, although I didn't understand on my first run that I could only cash out when reaching within the limit indicated on the laundry basket, completely missed that (though it was visible) - Novel and interesting idea! You should advertise a bit more in the community threads in here to get more votes in, you deserve it!

Developer

Thanks for checking out the game. Yeah the cashout mechanic and the game goal was definitely hard to communicate with. It was the thing that took the most amount of finetuning, but even then still ended up confusing haha. Will definitely try the Community threads and try to get more votes :)

Submitted(+1)

What a unique concept! Massive kudos for coming up with this idea!

Everything about the game fits the theme 100%. As for gameplay mechanics - they're as simple as it gets. Flipping a coin!? And this is fun!?
Sadly, my run ended when I wasted all my 23 BISCS trying to get my nickel to land on its side! Wanted to screenshot it 😜
(+ the game almost got me where there was no 25% threshold - brain was braining 200% at this point - but thanks to this, I ended up on EXACT!)

The gimmicks are short, simple, and clear.
Sound design is on point! Very fitting and satisfying—coin flips, chef’s kiss.
Visuals are also very readable and clean!

I tried to come up with some constructive feedback, but honestly, I struggled!
If I had to suggest one thing that could be improved is the moment when you hit EXACT. Since it's the ultimate goal of the round, I think it should get some more flair (sound cue, VFX) and be collected automatically after the attention is brought to it.

Other than that, it feels like an amazing game that should already be on Steam.
And with some further development, it can 100% become a huge success.

Amazing job!

Developer

Thank you so much for playing and the thoughtful comments! I am super happy you enjoyed the game :))
I agree there needs to be more flairs and whistles on hitting exact. Just more player feedback in general ;)

This is a pretty fun idea! My run ended when the 25% range stopped being valid and I didn’t notice 😭 It took me a bit to get into the game but special coin powerups were really fun and there’s a lot of strategy in trying to hit the target number each time. I felt like I was constantly just missing some kind of really useful math functions but couldn’t tell you off the top of my head what it was I wished I had. This is really solid and definitely one of the better pure gambling games I’ve seen this jam for sure, good work!

Developer(+1)

Haha glad you enjoyed the gamba :) We tried to hit that sweet spot of controlled gambling, where there is more skill expression and strategy than just pure RNG. Also, judging from the playtesting just being able to get to the point where 25% range becomes unavailable is really good haha. The game definitely is a little heavier on the math side, I blame myself for being a nerd

Submitted(+2)

I hit five exact values in a row. Nice game, well done!

Developer(+1)

Awesome thanks for playing :) We didn't really have time for an official end state, so I would consider 5 exact hits as probably a victory haha xd

Submitted(+2)

This is really nice and well-made! I personally don't really like luck-based games and gambling games (wtf am I joining this jam), but this game really caught my attention, and I think this is actually one of the better games I've played this jam! What a hidden gem this is. It matches the risk theme perfectly, and it's that kind of "salvageable" risk I liked. The game is basically a math game in disguise, where you are just calculating the way to victory. The graphics are also really appealing, and the sound design also felt good, though if there were ambient sounds, it would have been better. I still don't understand why there's even a negative multiplier coin, and most multiplier coins are really useless in later stages, but I really like the fact that each coin has different abilities. And to top all of that, the gimmicked coins mechanic is just perfect. Well done!

For some criticism, I think the game would really need a retry button, where it would be best to just reset if one's doing poorly in the first few levels. I need to F5 the page currently to do that, and it sucks. Also, a level count would be nice too. I would also hope the biscuits can do a bit more, though, as of right now re flipping is nice, but it would be way more cooler and tatical that you could do more manipulations with the biscuits you've earned.

Anyway, this is probably one of my top picks in the jam. Try asking around more (or rate 4 rate, but I really dislike that) and try making the 20 ratings! Good luck!

Developer

Thank you so much! I agree that there is definitely more that needs to be done with the win and loss conditions, being able to retry rounds, and as well as more things to do with biscuits you earn. We are tentatively thinking of doing a post-jam update regarding all those issues :) Either way, thanks so much for your insight and kind words

Super fun submission! I love the atmosphere, both visually and in terms of audio. It didn't take long to figure out how it worked either. (although it did take me a sec to realize the "cash out" text was a button)

Developer

Hey thanks for checking it out and I am glad you enjoyed the game! The cashout button being unclear definitely is a problem haha. That's what I get for not playtesting enough before submission

Submitted (1 edit) (+2)

Loads of addictive fun!

-18000 is good, right? lol
Lots more strategy than I initially expected!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! Glad you enjoyed the game and happy to hear that you found the strategy appealing :)
-18000 is definitely rare to see, so it can definitely be 'good' based on what metric you are using haha.

Submitted(+2)

I like it! Easy to tie knots around yourself with funky coins. Definitely having the cashout section be a little more highlighted might help.

Developer(+1)

Thanks so much for playing! I am glad you enjoyed the game. Yeah the general goal and cashing out mechanic definitely could have used more love and attention. That's what we get for not playtesting enough haha

Submitted(+2)

Audio is really good, this is really good in its execution

Developer

Thank you thank you! I worked on the audio, really glad to hear people are enjoying it! It was actually my first time making audio for a game haha ^_^

Submitted(+2)

Audio and Design of the level is amazing. The game is explained well and easy to pick up one of my favorite games i've seen in this jam. I spent my time mostly using the coins that gave 100c 25c and 2x and kinda ignored the rest. Not sure if there was a coin like that in the game but I was looking for a way to lower my score without having to divide so if there was or could be a -money flip coin that could be good.

Also small bug, I was kinda just clicking at everything and if you spam click on the cash out when its explaining the rules at the start you can win 5 biscuits and skip the first level.

Developer

Glad you enjoyed the game!! Yeah for sure, we had a ton of more coin ideas and originally planned on a larger scope where you would gather multiple coins throughout a "run" but it was a bit too large scope for the time we had left. Yeah I actually found that same bug after we released @_@ but ohh well cant catch them all :p

Submitted(+2)

Really cool game!  Loved the gamba.  The audio really built the atmosphere!

The only issue I found was the readability of the cash out button.  When I first played, I didn't even notice it (or that the goal of the game was to reach a certain proximity to a number instead of going for a big number like many other roguelike games)

Overall, the game was really tasteful.  Good luck with the Jam!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! The atmosphere is really cool! Super lucky to have such talented designers and artists on the team ^_^
Thanks for the great feedback too, def wish the clarity of some of our mechanics were explained a bit more, but we had to push it out before the jam ended @_@

Submitted(+2)

The audio is quite creative and mechanics are very consistent and cohesive. A little overwhelming when you start the game initially but you start to understand after you do a few rounds.

Developer

Thanks, I am glad you enjoyed the game! I agree, the difficulty curve definitely needs to be adjusted. If we had more time, we would have wanted a clearer tutorial round haha

Submitted(+2)

Managed to end up at -$7,500 on the first attempt! Love the audi & visuals, very cool aesthetic. Great work from the team

Developer

Thank you so much for playing! I hope you had time to play a few more rounds and managed to cash out a couple of times haha
