A piece of beauty. Well done, the art style is very good and great game play work. Hope you will make more games in future.

Please try my game also:

I liked the art; I found it a bit difficult at first, but I was able to understand it well afterward.

I really liked the tap space to  possess the enemy. i think it made the game much more immersive instead of a simple button press.

Though I think it would've been better if the player had to press and hold down the Space Bar to possess enemies instead of tapping the Space Bar to do so, this was still a fun game to play. Nice jam submission!

I love the drawing and the mechanics are a lot of fun, the only bad thing is that it's so short, i really liked it! you deserve more votes!

Good job hitting the theme of the jam by possessing enemies as a ghost. that part was really nice.

For improvements, you could polish the visuals by making the sprites flip when moving in different directions, and adding some game juice (screen shake, effects) plus sound effects would help a lot.

For gameplay, be mindful of the player experience. You don’t need to make things harder just to look hard for example, spamming the Space bar that much just to possess an enemy isn’t fun, it’s just tiring. A single press or a short hold would feel a lot better.

Overall though, great concept and good effort!

This is good feedback and I really appreciate that. I touched on some effects, but it definitely would feel better if I took that further. I can't believe I forgot to flip the sprites. I had it on my list of bugs and then completely overlooked it omg. BTW, I was checking out your page after playing your Cthulu game. Great stuff! The games y'all have made are very inspiring.

Amazing game, fits the theme perfectly. There was a lack of instruction but it took me less than a minute to figure it out. The music is really nice. I like your game. The ending music was also very beautiful.

Very fun!

Pros:

  • A fairly unique game idea
  • Looks like it’s completely playable
  • Music, mechanics, etc are well done.

Cons:

  • The biggest ding I can give the game is that the sprites only face one way instead of turning to respond to direction of travel.
  • The only other cons I can give are polish - UI hints for when one can interact, for example, or a pause menu with sound settings, etc.

This was well made for the short amount of time that was given to complete the project. Very well done.

I'm kicking myself for not flipping the sprites! I had that bug early on and completely forgot until after submission. Thanks for your feedback! This was a very fun jam.

The vibe of the opening scene with the music and huge moon looming in the background got me in straight away, lots of potential to expand on this and I really like the main character design. That mix of 'spooky' and 'whimsical' can often be generic but not here, you made it work. Congrats on finishing the jam!

Thanks for the feedback! I'm pleasantly surprised with how well the vibe came together. Glad you appreciate it!

When the game jam theme about taking control. It means being possessed by ghost.

Great Job.

Maybe it's a bit simple or on the nose, but this was by far the shortest game jam I've done. I figured going with a simple but fun mechanic was the best bet.  Thanks so much for your feedback!

This is such a great little game. Theme is 10/10, implementation is lovely and well presented, even the context is a great way to wrap up the short, well defined little experience. Great job.

I appreciate that! I had originally designed more levels, but this was a pretty short jam. Thanks for the feedback!
