Hello! I'm unfortunately not a fan of those kind of games, but in some moments I appreciated the structure of the map to make you move in a specific way, intended or unintended. XD
If you want to check it out again, here's the VOD: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2534557435
Thank you for the link, appreciate hearing your feedback from the stream!
Fun platformer!
This is a cool game. The charge mechanic is really clever and I like the physics platforming. The visuals are also awesome with the bright colors contrasting the white environment. I'm sad I didn't get all the collectables though.
Thanks for chatting with me during the stream! Gotta go get that last bag in your free time
Really like the ball boosting mechanic, and the physics based gameplay. The writing was top notch and wimzy in the best way
I enjoyed this game, even if I feel like the controls were still kinda uninituitive and hard to control. Somehow the ball physics defies my expectations quite a bit, and I feel like I couldn't control it that well.
The level design is nice, but it felt pretty hard to me. Honestly somehow it reminds me of Jet Set Radio, even though I was kinda garbage at that game too haha.
I like the small visual and sound effects of the game, made it feel quite juicy.
Fun ngame, really enjoyed it , reminded me of sonic 3d which is a really fun nostalgia !
Amazing games with fun levels and controls
Came from YouTube, very fun entry! Like the comment below me, I also loved the squishy ball mechanic, was very satisfying. Cool game!
I love how squishy the ball is. Controling it was a little frustrating at first but I quickly adjusted
It's like an evil hard version of Ballance (2004). I really like the aestetic you choose and the mechanics feel really satisfaying.
I also would love to now what did you use for level creation - I've heard about ProBuilder in Unity is there something like it for Godot as well?
One note I have (and I think someone has already mentioned it) - the part of the level on the second island is by far the hardest part of the level in general and it can be a bit to much for a new player.
For level design, it's all just dropped into a scene in Godot, nothing fancy. Thanks for the feedback, yeah balancing difficulty is hard in a jam haha whoops.
Fun traversal mechanic! Had a nice time with it.
It's pretty fun to zip around in this one. I was surprised by the precision expected of the player in some bits, but there a lot of ways to bust the game wide open (like zipping straight up a vertical stretch), which is a lot of fun to do. Kudos for an ambitious entry!
Super cool game with a very interesting take on the theme! I really appreciated the narrative elements, and the dialogue in this game is really nice. Having collectables is a nice addition, even though I think it would've been cool if they fit the story better, as I didn't understand why they are bags. Talking to a unique character to end each level was fun as well.
Level design was pretty fun, and the movement was taught at just the right pace for me. I really like that the boost mechanic doubles as a brake, because in many physics based games it's hard to stop. If you update at all, the thing that I'd want the most is like an open playground type of level, as this movement system is so so fun to play around with, and having a more freeform place to explore it would be really fun. My only complaint is that I wanted to play more, which is never a bad thing after a game jam game.
All around great work making a super smooth and fun game!
Wow thank you so much! That's some high praise <3
This was excellent! I wish it was a little longer, though - it felt like it wanted to be longer than it was, and it ended right as the level design started to get a bit more interesting.
The one thing that did annoy me a bit was the camera. It had a habit of zooming in super close to the player, such that I couldn’t see anything at all. Luckily it didn’t harm my experience too much.
Yeah you're so right on both points, those will be the first changes post-jam. Thanks for the feedback, glad to hear you want more!
Really nice game! I thought the ball was fun to control, especially with the feedback and sound design - I especially love the squash and stretch as the ball move around, an overlooked but appreciated detail that gives the game more life. It's honestly fun to just move around as the ball, which I think makes a game intuitively good. I love the Mirror's Edge aesthetic and vibe you've got going on here, and I really enjoyed the world, especially with the massive arch above that adds some atmosphere to the game as well as the tiny bit of lore that makes the game more enjoyable. The fact that the connection to the theme of "loop" is in the story itself with a loop shaped world that you have to get around is really clever. The characters in the game were creative concepts and fun to talk to, and some of the dialogue is pretty funny. Going from here, I think the game just needs some polish (especially with the camera that clips into the floor a lot), expanding on the concept and the world and the levels, and making the ball feel a bit more animated and sort of present in the world, if you know what I mean. Kudos!
Wow, thanks for the great feedback! It's awesome to know people are appreciating these details :)
Of course! :)
You did a magnificent job with this game, wish the ball was a bit easier to control, but thats just me!
Wow this is very polished, but difficult!
This was quite fun to play!
I love moving around this game. Actually sick in terms of movement, and quite a high skill floor. The spindash like motion really oozes juice.
This game is a bit difficult to get the hang of, but I still enjoyed it!
