Love the art, and interesting idea of being able to switch weapon mid-combat (thought it took me some time to figure it out). I would love to have the difficulty ramping up faster (Or having Hell mode, with a strong challenge from the start!)

Fun game ! Really easy to pick up, even without looking at the description so that's cool.

People are talking about the bow but boomerang is most op weapon :) I actually stopped playing because I just stood in the middle, smashing every ennemies too close, and half a second later the boomerang was in my hand again. So I could just smash 10 ennemies in a row if needed by spamming lmb.

I love the strong rock/metal vibe of this game — it really makes you want to smash everything and crush enemies with a giant hammer!

The loading screen looks super professional, and the overall experience feels really solid.

Nice game! I like the art, and the music a lot! I think the gameplay could use a bit of revamping, seeing as there are a good amount of people on the team. Other than that, I love the whole hellish theme accompanied by the music, as well as the ability to shoot and bludgeon vile hell beings! Nice work.

Love the visuals and the DOOM rock soundtrack. Gameplay is very smooth and felt fun to play but I will say the bow is super overpowered haha. I was wiping out enemies in a single shot and every time I tried another weapon I just felt about 10x less powerful. It's super satisfying to use but might need nerfing a little. Good job!

The amount of weapons you can pick up it actually impressive for a game jam game.

A little more oomph to the demon killing and this could totally be a full blown priced game.

Mostly polish stuff, like screen shake, particle effects, punchier and randomized sound effects, tighter controls, etc. The so called game feel. It takes many iterations to get that stuff perfect, that's why not really for game jam setting.

Look at the hotline miami for example, that's like a king of OOMPH in games. And this could totally be up there with it :)

The audio and visuals sell the satisfying demon slashing. The amount of weapons is great, but I think the bow is a bit extra strong - it decimates everything quite easily. Overall a nice demon fighting game, that could benefit from some escalating difficulty and maybe some highscore/timer.

we do already have timer and highscore in game? it shows you after death. did it just bug out for you? or was it just that u were so cracked and pro at the game you never got to see it

WOW. this feels like those old Nitrome games I played as a kid. So so fun!! It's visually amazing, the design and animations of the characters are insane. For me the most enjoyable weapon was the bow, I loved when the arrows looped at times 3 times for a sick trickshot. Easy 5 star!!

It was pretty fun to experiment with all the different weapons! Needs some bug fixes, but overall I really enjoyed it. It would also be really cool if enemies cold chase you by looping the screen themselves. I also liked seeing that there's an introduction, and the menus are cool!

sure:
> player can get stuck inside platforms if moving sideways and coming from below, and can't move sideways while stuck (happened with the lowest one on the left). Will un-stuck when jumping.
> I don't know if that's wanted, but having solid flying monsters means I sometimes cling to them involuntarily when jumping
> after some time the player doesn't animate anymore and just  stays with its hands and feet laid out (couldn't identify a cause, but I was discarding and picking up weapons).

Really cool concept, great pixel art. slomo breaking out of chains at the start is pretty rad. Enjoyed trying out all the weapons :D

I agree with the others about the polish, and I enjoyed the music and sound effects. But I felt it was hard to aim at flying enemies, and it was easy to cheese all enemies by just spam going the edge of the screen. I think a prediction line would have been nice for the aim, and if enemies followed you through the map edge it would make the game more challenging.

I have a low attention span and had a hard time playing longer than a minute or two. I enjoyed playing and keep at it you did a great job!

Thanks for the review! We tried to come up with solutions to make the enemies follow you through the portals, but all of them were really messy and buggy. Also a prediction line is a great idea, too bad we didn't think of that😭😭. We appreciate the review <3

Nice! Gave me some Towerfall vibes, so I used the bow a lot. Was very satisfying killing a whole row of demons with a single arrow. Using the melee weapons was much more of a challenge. But an awesome game! Well done!

Thanks very much for you feedback, if you didnt find out in game you can actually use special abilities that some melee weapons have (mclutchu and spear to be precise) that could make the challenge ease up.
