Very well thought out concept! It feels like a weird autobattler fighting against yourself over and over again and it's fun to watch.
This is an exceedingly clever way of making interacting with yourself interesting! I love having to identify your own weakness and counter it - but i found it hard to do so because I had trouble picturing the actual loop. I wonder if it would be possible in future versions to either show animations of each move in sequence so I could picture it, or otherwise let me "act out" what I wanted to occur on the loop from a limited set of button presses so I could feel more empowered during the prep phase. Regardless, very fun and pretty-looking as well!
I couldn't interact with the game. :( But it looked really fun.
This was really fun, until my knack of softlocking myself jumped in. I got to a point when I would always jump on the enemies head and just rode around on them. I would take the jump commend out but you have to use all of them. And putting high jump into other slots ended just as badly. Still, great game. Just needs play-testing.
i could not interact with the game too :( but looks really interesting
Super interesting take on the theme, past round me sucks and is OP.
This is impressive! How you resolved it is pretty smart!!
In my experience playing tho I found myself many time doing while combos that got me to a softlocking battle getting my cube jumping in the ene(me) head. Gonna follow cause I really hope to see more of this proyect <3
At first I was put into battle without getting to the programming screen, but after every button on my keyboard, I got the 'softlock button' to appear via 'tab'. That got me to the programming screen, but unfortunately I couldn't interact with the action commands. Not sure if this a browser build related issue
creative take! but I couldn't drag place the actions in the blocks :/
Really cool idea, I really like the mechanic of mixing and matching the actions with the conditions! Also the hand-drawn art style works really well, reminds me of old Animator vs Animation or Stick Fight animations.
My feedback would be that it is really fun to program your guy to become the smartest, strongest soldier, but the part where you fight your previous self and have to fill all conditions each time kind of gets in the way of that (although maybe that was your intention?) Also there seem to be a lot of different resource types but not many different ways to use them.
But otherwise there's a really fun game in here!
Was quite confusing to start playing
i couldn't move when i ran it from my browser :( but like the title for a loop themed game
pretty cool idea! Definitely needs some introduction as it is very hard to understand. I do see the vision :)
Kind of buggy, still can't figure out how to get good, but for some reason I like this game. It's very appealing for some reason, I can't really explain it.
Love the concept but as many others have said I unfortunately got softlocked on the first round and was unable to do anything :( Audio sounds good and the premise feels right up my street, shame I couldn’t really get into it!
There are bugs, such as where the game becomes softlocked on round 0, and the editing screen is sometimes unusable, I think these bugs are device specific, as it seems to happen consistently for some people, but I'm not sure. If you have the bug where it softlocks on Round 0, it may be because the game is running too slowly to properly create the sword attacks, so the windows version may work as it has better preformance (I'm not entirely sure), but I have no idea why the editing screen is sometimes unusable, its probably the click detection or mouse position (maybe fullscreening or unfullscreening helps).
I'm pretty sure these two bugs are the same, as it seems that when you fail Round 0 due to the attacks not loading in properly, the code in the Try blocks fails to run properly and crashes, making them unmovable. I will probably try to see if theres a way to make the sword attacks land more consistantly after the jam's period, hopefully that fixes this bug.
Great idea, but it didnt work no matter how hard i tried. The programming options just wouldnt move
Please continue developing this idea! The idea of programming a battle sounds super appealing and strategic.
I'm not able to do anything :(
That's a pity, I would have liked the idea
cool game! would appreciate if you check mine out :D
