How does your game fit the theme?
Metaphorically, a maze can be seen as a loop. As you keep on facing walls that prevent you to go further, you need to go backwards to enter another dead end. In a sense, the labyrinth of our neurons might also send us to loopy and never-ending thoughts.

I love this game! The retro aesthetic, the artwork (which is amazing), the tile system... I really like it!
The downsides I would say: the tile system needs some tweaking, I honestly got stuck quite a few times and that was a bit frustrating. I thought the combat was slow, but once I put the music from soundcloud in the background, it was perfect! The vibe changes completely, I really hope you can implement the SFX and music after the jam because it sounds really good. (and maybe next time implement it as soon as possible ;))
All in all, great work, it has a really strong identity :)
love the idea of the game and the art for the monsters, would be interested in seeing a more fleshed out version! good job on the jam :)
Really unique idea and some amazing artwork!
absolutely gorgeous art, not to mention i was just obsessed with playing the actual game, mega rock solid game, even if bits of it feel slightly incomplete, it's still one of my favourites this year <3 good job team <3
The idea and style are solid! The game for now feels a bit unfinished and somewhat random, since you never know which segments will appear next — and it’s easy to accidentally end up in a dead end. But with some tweaking it would be a great game :)
Really cool concept with exceptional artwork!
Interesting game idea! It was fun leveling up, and the character designs are pretty cool. After playing a couple of times, I still couldn’t get myself out. I think it's somewhat luck-based because you could block all the paths without even knowing. Still, it's a pretty nice idea, and choosing which path to take/make is really fun :)
there's some really great idea but feels unfinished and could use some more polish. It is very easy to get softlock. enjoyable experience nonetheless :)
The core mechanic is cool. It reminds me a bit of desktop dungeons except you are placing the tiles yourself. It sucks that if you are unlucky can make the maze exit impossible to reach but not know until you put the tile down. The combat make strategy feel more important but is very slow.
I'm not sure how well it fits the theme of the jam.
I liked building the maze, there was some strategy there which was cool. I think the combat could've used something else, because I knew who was going to win the moment it started. The art was awesome!
very interesting concept! the aesthetic is great!
Really nice art style, and a really engaging mechanic. I trapped myself and couldn't get to the boss though haha
In this jam, I played several maze-based games, and this one of the most engaging ones without being frustrating. Great job!
Really good, well done :)
this game is really well made and i love the art style. wish it had music and sound effects!
thanks so much for your comment. I'm writing you as the music composer, imagine my frustration when we figured out time was running away and we could not include the sounds ! I uploaded the sounds on a soundcloud account, though, and I'd be pleased and honoured if you tried the game again immersing yourself :
