The hacker/cyberpunk theme is well done and the terminal interaction definitely gives Mr. Robot vibes.
The music is tense, some extra sound effects (typing, modem sounds, etc) would add more atmosphere maybe.
The text kept scrolling off screen which made the hack challenges very hard since it took precious seconds to scroll them into view.
Cool premise and execution that could become something really cool with some polish
The hacker theme and style are very well done. The command system is interesting, but it takes some time to understand what to do. With clearer guidance, it could be much stronger. Well done!
This is a very fun idea. Especially fitting because I'm currently in the middle of watching Mr. Robot on Netflix. Beautiful, cohesive aesthetic. The graphics, sounds, and sci-fi/hacker theme all mesh perfectly.
It took me a second to see the message in the top corner telling me to type "help" to begin. It was so small and not at all where the eyes are drawn. Even after typing help, it feels like an overwhelming amount of information, partially because of how small all the text is. Don't get me wrong, I love the style but it may be too deep into the style for what the game is doing. Maybe make the text the player needs to read/interact with a bit bigger? I also might argue this is more of a world stage thing than a one room thing but that's just splitting hairs.
Overall, this is an awesomely stylish game and a great submission.
I got the "Counter Hacked" ending, because I was just writing hacks randomly, because i didn't know their real impact. I really didn't know what I was doing for the first 10 minutes. But then I got the idea of why I hacked the gov_a, for example. Maybe more instructions on why to hack that gov, or why hack the labs, or how to actually "win" the game, could help.
The background soundtrack is very good, but it was too short, and after a while it got very repetitive.
There is an exploit in the browser version, where you can just copy the text and then paste the letters in. For example, where you have to write letters in a short amount of time, that can be simply be copied and pasted.
I really liked the game! I really liked the fact that every faction had a certain trait. I played for 25 minutes, and the game is still foggy for me. If you want your game to be hard to understand, then it's good. But if not, then please add more instructions for the hacks, like, for example, what impact they have. Like, High or low. or something like that.
Sorry for grammar issues, Hope this helps!
I have be come warbringer spreader of false orders. (I got the war ending)
Nice Black and write but can not get pass fist texts
Thanks! By pressing "help", the majority of commands are showed up
i am really sorry to give you a low rating because it seems you put a lot of effort into this game, but i just have no idea what am i doing. and the static black and white text doesn't bring me much joy. i whish the game was more lively and had a better tutorial. best of luck
I'm really sorry to hear that... By pressing "help", it will show the avaiable commands, running those command in the terminal will run some hacking mini-games. If the minigames are succesful, you will increase the global alert\suspicious, if are not succesfull instead, will increase the change that any corporation will find you.
